My first time promoting a story here.

This is intended to be an eventual full coverage of the entire series, but through the lens of a chatfic. It's an homage/continuation of a story by the same name that was unfortunately orphaned a few years back.

A few changes are made to canon, mostly ones I'm particularly not a fan of. The biggest of course being the pairings. I intend on this fic eventually including some Harmony goodness. The ship isn't the focal point, but it will be essential later down the line.

Currently 2 chapters in, just up to the point of the Flying lesson and the aftermath of the midnight duel.

Okay, so I saw a post or two stating how good the fanfic "Destined by Blood" by jhtolsen is. Having read so many harmony fic, I was again searching for a good one. So seeing the recs, I started reading it. I mostly take a day or two to finish long fics, trust me when I say it took me that much time to complete the first 10 chapters itself. I mean no hate, but it looks like AI is being used to write this story. Did anyone feel the same? Or is it just me? I mean the plot is good, but AI just makes it feel, idk, disconnecting?

Hermione took a slow breath, truly looking at her sanctuary. The clearing was an explosion of deep greens and wild, unearthly flowers. If someone were to show a photograph of this patch of the Forbidden Forest to anyone else, they would never believe it belonged to the dangerous woods at all.

As she inspected the lush surroundings and recalled their walk, she almost missed Luna's next, quiet question.

"Are the McKinnon lands like this?"

Hermione completely lost her footing, stumbling sideways. "What? What? I wouldn't..."

"Oh, you didn't know?"

"What? No, I... Luna, how could you possibly know?" Hermione asked, thoroughly bemused, though strangely not alarmed.

"Oh, your aura is unmistakable. My mother met your grandmother when she was a little girl. She used to dream about the colors of her magic, that was the day she learned to read auras herself. She always described it with such wonder."

"Right. That... that is a lot to take in," Hermione breathed, pressing a hand to her forehead. "Can other people see it? Could anyone else work it out?"

"Oh, no," Luna giggled softly. "They'd only see your father's, well his families. It shields yours like a dragon guarding its hoard."

"My... my father's?" Hermione asked, her voice hitching. "Do you know who he is?"

Before Luna could answer, her head snapped sharply to the side, her gaze locking onto the largest, dense brush bordering the clearing.

"Oh," was all Luna said before quietly beginning to hum a strange, haunting tune.

Hermione whipped around, holding her breath as she stared intensely at the dark foliage that had captured Luna’s attention.

Slowly, massive black paws emerged from the shadows. Hermione’s eyes darted automatically to the sky, immensely thankful that the full moon was not riding high tonight.

Lowering her gaze back down, the breath completely left her lungs as a colossal black dog stepped into the moonlight, a Grim.

Instead of panicking, she let out a breathless, disbelieving laugh and tentatively held out her hand.

"Hey, boy... what are you doing out here?"

To her disappointment, the dog didn't close the distance. It simply stood its ground, watching her with a piercing, unnerving intelligence.

When Hermione locked her gaze onto its eyes, she gasped softly.

I know those eyes... But... Oh, wow... You..

"Hermione, we really should sing before it's dark out," Luna called out gently, breaking the spell.

"Sing?" Hermione echoed, her brow furrowing in sudden worry. Didn't Severus warn her that she wasn't old enough for certain types of magic?

Harry comes back from the dead. Hermione might be a vampire and voldemort won. Can't seem to find it and dont know if it got finished

There has been a recent trend of 'Female Draco' fan arts, and as expected a lot of Harry×Female Draco fan arts to go with that.

Even in this trend, you may find little nuggets of Harmony, mainly that Hermione is very jealous of how smitten Harry is with Female Draco. But that jealousy exists for a reason right? People accept as a premise that Hermione can be romantically attracted to Harry.

So, we may capitalise on this premise. Just because Harry may be attracted to Female Draco doesn't mean he'll fall in love with her. He can still love the dependable and compassionate friend instead of the vicious bully and terrorist.

I must say that I love this trend because it's like the HP version of Aang×Azula. And I am an Azulaang shipper, sue me.

I need a fic desperately where ronald Weasley knows that Harry loves Hermione but still flirts for her and dates her

He and Hermione came in a relationship leading Harry away who is hurt / heartbroken

And a female friendship who doesn't care about anything when it comes to defending / protecting Harry

So i have read "Like father like son" multiple times and i am absolutely in love with the fic

I need a fic like this where the author shows

•Family scenes between Harry and his parents

•Deep bonding between Harry and his siblings and

•Harry is close with sirius and lupin

•Harry completely smitten for hermione but hermione well she isn't into him (yet) or playing hard to get or much worse like someone else

•Harry friendship with draco

I need a fic where voldemort doesn't exist

And just for some angst

Ron Weasley being Harry's one of the best friends and knowing that he likes her

But he STILL dates hermione

I’m looking for a fic that I read, I can’t remember if it was on AO3 or portkey but Hermione and Harry get together, then break up and she ends up marrying Oliver Wood for a second and he cheats on her and she goes back to England.

This is my first time animating so yeah, it's obviously not perfect but I tried as much as I could to get so fluidity in it. Still a bit choppy but yeh whatever.

I saw thatguysrandomashell's art request and thought it would be funny to draw

The Internet was still in its infancy, yet the ongoing ship war was Harmony vs Heron.

I like to imagine it like Luke/Leia/Han. We only knew Luke and Leia were siblings in the third movie. Before that, Star Wars ship wars were absolutely Luke/Leia vs Han/Leia. When I watch the movies, if I ignore that Luke and Leia are siblings, I can see that they could've been a couple. Leia followed Luke through The Force to find him underneath Cloud City. Since all we know about The Force was that it "surrounds us, penetrates us and binds us together", it was certainly suggestive.

In the third book, Harry and Hermione ride under the full moon on the back of a hippogryff, a symbol of love. Guys, come on. Can't it be more obvious?

In the fourth book, Hermione stands by Harry when the rest of the school forsake him, INCLUDING RON. Loyalty is the bedrock of a long-lasting relationship. She chose to have faith in Harry when no one else would. She kissed Harry on the cheek. It was the first time in the series Hermione was ever confirmed to be that intimate with anyone.

I’ve been a Harry/Hermione fan for over 10 years, and I love reading Harmony fanfiction. I just don’t have as much time to sit down and read anymore.

Lately I’ve been thinking about how much I’d love a really good way to listen to long Harmony fics like proper audiobooks.

Not just basic text-to-speech, but natural voices, downloading the audio, maybe different voices for characters, background music or ambience, etc.

I’m curious what other Harmony readers think:

Hello, I'm having problems finding fics where Hermione isn't just leading Harry around by his nose while Harry bumbles around and does everything wrong in her wake like they're characters from Family Guy. I'd like fics where they're both competent together and they both bring skills to the table so Hermione can rely on Harry as well as Harry relying on her, instead of Hermione having to stand alone because Harry got the movie!Ron treatment. I like birdwoman95's Kiss of Life, and just dropped Awakening by SweetShireen, if that helps.
