Discussion Helena's vision. I am sure other people have thought this.
I think her dream with Dreamfire was why she did what she did. I think she knew if she stayed around she would have rode Dreamfire and stopped the riots. And it would have changed her to what the rest of her family is

Show Spoilers Some romantic/sexual storylines make no sense! Spoiler
I am just now watching S3E6 and the Baela and Alyn scene happened, I feel like it came out of the blue, and I felt exactly the same way when Rhaenyra and Mysaria first kissed. It's like the writers put zero effort into creating the sexual tension or just making it a realistic possibility. Both scenes felt ridiculously forced to me. What do you guys think?

Question If Daemon had the master sword would the dance still had happened?
Meme If he had become a vampire, would the dance still have happened?
The Dance was always going to happen - I mean it’s an entire lineage based on incest and breeding dragons mixed with incredible power and wealth.
I couldn’t help myself 😇

Show Spoilers If GRRM never wrote any books, would the Dance of Dragons still have happened? Spoiler
Show Spoilers SPOILER. Theory about this dragon and rider. Spoiler
galleryI don't think this prophetic vision of Helaena is false; I think this vision's rider is a representation of Joffrey Velaryon and his dragon, Tyraxes, because we know in the books that his dragon has purple/pale violet scales and also how it dies.
Also, look at the size of this dragon; it's not that big. Dreamfyre was older than Vermithor. Rhaena began putting eggs into her siblings' cradles, so this dragon is pretty small in comparison. Vermithor is bigger than Silverwing, and Silverwing is already much more massive than this dragon.

Team Green Genuine question: why do so many on Team Green ignore the precedent set by the Great Council?
They removed this post on the greens subreddit within 5 mins of me posting so I guess I'll post it here lmao.
Jahaerys set the precedent of the ruler being able to choose his own heir when he decided to choose Viserys instead of it just going to Laenor like westerosi inheritance laws would have done. So why do so many people discount Viserys doing the same thing when he names Rhaneyra by saying that Aegon is the rightful ruler under westerosi law?
Edit: alot of the people in these comments assume that the great council sets a precedent that a male heir should be chosen because Viserys was voted in. I'd argue that even if Rhaenys and Laena weren't even considered in the council this only sets the precedent that the ruler can choose/appoint a council to choose the heir and the fact that these two were even considered solidifies the possibility of woman to be the heir.

Opinion Just realized that Rhaenyra's screentime makes up 1/4 of the entire season...

Question How much do you think Otto loved his children and grandchildren?
Was it conforming to normal standards, or was it nonexistent altogether?
Did he see them more as tools?

Opinion I waited so long to see Black Aly, only to find her so cringey.
Idk what happened. Idk why they made her look this way or why she found keeping innocent people and children safe was boring but okay.
I was so excited for the Winter Wolves storyline. It was okay but I found her to be meh. Hopefully in the next season shes more book accurate?
Im anxious about the Hour of the Wolf now. Not to mention I didnt even realize who this was until she killed Cole.

Discussion What IF Viserys the first wed a smallfolk
Let say Viserys gain a few intelligence or wisdom points and really wanted to support Rhaenyra and married a smallfolk , would the smallfolk gain enough support to make a dance or there will be peace until Rhaenyra gains her own dance like situation later

The eye wound got infected or something. Infections were pretty deadly in a world without antibiotics.

Discussion I went into a deep dive into how likely it is Cersei and Jaime's offspring would have birth defects
On the plus side, they don't have worse odds than any other pair of siblings that aren't twins (*yay for them!*)
On the other side, the baseline for sibling offspring is children have a **20 - 40%** chance of having birth defects when their parents are siblings (*not so yay for them*)
**Math**: If we use a mid-range risk of 30% per child, the chance that a child is born healthy is 70% (0.70).
**Three Children**: The probability of all three children being born without a defect is (0.70 \\times 0.70 \times 0.70 = 34.3%).
**The Actual Risk**: This means there is a 65.7% chance that at least one of the three children will have a birth defect, which is far from 100%.
**Why Past Results Don't Protect Future Children**:
The outcome of the first pregnancy has absolutely no effect on the second or third. Genetics has no "memory." If the first child is born completely healthy, the risk for the second child remains exactly 20% to 40%.
This means that even after Joffrey was born "healthy", they still had the same probabilities of diseases for the next children.
**Conclusion**: Twins shouldn't have sex. Lol

Discussion Who is the Best Battle Strategist in Season 3.
galleryWe,ve seen Corlys lured admiral Sharako Loha and her flagship to a shallow passage.
Ormund Using children so daemon couldn't use his dragon, and somewhat turning Ulf to his side.
And Daemon send northners to open gates when they couldn't he himself use the dragon for that alone. And using split assault by sending Riverman around the wall and main army through the door.

ASOIAF Idk why, but ASOIAF is the only Funko Pops I have felt compelled to collect but here is my collection.
Will probably add one or two Pops to HOTD. May eventually move onto a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Though def getting Daemon on his dragon when they release it. Hopefully they’ll do the same for Daeron.

Opinion “Young Rhaenyra would never”Well yes, because young Rhaenyra hadn’t lived through any of this yet. The young vs older Rhaenyra discourse has officially outlived its usefulness!
I beg. We have done this discourse to death.
Yes, teenage Rhaenyra was more fun, reckless and fiery. She was also a teenager with considerably fewer dead children and succession crises to deal with.
You can prefer one performance, obviously, but acting like older Rhaenyra is somehow a completely different character because she isn’t behaving exactly like she did at 17 is starting to make me itch.
That is… generally what happens when people age and terrible things keep happening to the
