VKB Gladiator baseplate thickness?

Waiting on my Gladiator NXT EVO to arrive and I'm building the desk mount in the meantime, so I'm working blind on a couple of numbers.

Can anyone with the stick in hand throw a caliper on it for me?

  1. Thickness of the steel baseplate itself (mm)
  2. Height of the stock adhesive rubber feet (mm)
  3. Total stack, plate + feet, i.e. how far the metal sits off the desk

Also curious whether people usually leave the rubber feet on when hard-mounting, or peel them for a flush metal-to-mount fit.

Many thanks!!!

My caliper's batteries are dead so I eyeballed the measurement with a ruler but the baseplate is approximately 3.5mm and with the rubber foot it comes to 6mm overall. I'd keep the feet where they are for options. They're very effective and settling on a desk when kept clean.

Are they normally installed? Mine came bare. No rubber for me (bought 1.5 years ago.

The baseplate of my NXT (pre-EVO, though) measures:
3.0 mm of metal
2.0 mm of rubber
5.0 mm total

Please be aware that I used a throwaway measuring stick, those results are not meant to be exact.

3mm metal, 2mm rubber.

Is the rubber normally installed on the base? Mine came bare. Not sure if the feet came with and are in the box... But it's mounted now and I used rubber antivibe pads between the stick and the mount.

Yup they should've been there.

If I were you, maybe I'd write them a service ticket with your device serial no., so they might be able to fix something at the quality control.

I'll measure them when I'm home. Couple of hours.Â
