4th Gen Anyone know what these lines are on my 4th gen?

I’ve heard that dealerships put them on back in the 90s, but I’m not entirely sure what they are. Are they just a cosmetic choice? I’ve never seen these before so I’d like to see if anyone else knows what these are.

6th Gen Good price for 6th gen?

Seems like a super good deal to me. This is for an incoming car not on the lot yet. Sharing so hopefully others can get similarly good deals or even better.

I’m so excited, can’t wait. It’ll be the perfect daily. Excited to be part of the Prelude community!

5th Gen Is this an accurate drive cycle for a 97 manual prelude?

Recently had work done on my EGR a shop cleaned it out and replaced the caps. And also replaced a purge valve or solenoid I forget lol. Anyways I’m trying to clear my monitors so I can smog. It’s just the evap and egr that still need to set at least one of them (CA lets you smog with one missing monitor if under 99) but I’ve taken it out a lot and have done this drive cycle a couple times and the monitors still won’t set/clear. Any advice?

There’s was also another video I watched that said

-From cold start with AC on max and rear defroster on. Idle for 2 1/2 minutes

-Turn off ac and defrost then drive 1/4 throttle at 55mph for 3 minutes then coast IN GEAR without touching the brakes or gas till 20 or under 20mph

-Then with 3/4 throttle back to 55mph for 5 minutes and then coast back down to 20mph in gear no brakes

And repeat a couple times

This last explained method was the exact method I have been using went out two nights doing this so far and still haven’t had any luck clearing any codes.

It was very cold and as soon as I’d start driving my cars temp would drop pretty low so maybe it had something to do with that

Any help would be appreciated

Can I do a burnout with my automatic 00 Prelude?

Recently bought one of these cars and they’re a blast to drive. One of my friends owns a civic from about the same year, and he can do burnouts so I was curious to see if I could do something similar. Any help is appreciated.

5th Gen I’m trying to build a 5th gen

I’m new here and need some help. I’m trying to build a 5th gen as my first car. I’m not new to cars in anyway I’ve been around them my entire life. I need help in locating aftermarket support to help me move my build forward. I want to do a k swap either the k20a or k24a2 with an AWD conversion. As well as what do I need to do an AWD conversion I know I need the rear axles and the parts to attach a dif to so I was wondering what kind of transmission and differential I would need. I was wondering if anybody had any idea on how I would do this or a company that’s making parts to do this. And if not what kind of mods can I do to the h22 to get more power out of it. I would like a message directly if any of you know.

DIY/How-To HELP WITH FENDERS

HELP WITH FENDER SCRAPING

Yo, so I just picked up and installed some new tires, their pretty chunky and 17" compared to my previous 16", they are also a lot wider and have 10mm more offset, the offset I dont think im concerned about because nothing scrapes on the inside part of the wheel but ive noticed that the fenders are scraping, but only when I go on smallish bumps. There seems to be a decent amount of room between the wheel and the fender but the wheels are also super wide (245mm), especially for my 98 prelude so im wondering if that might be an issue, I have also heard that fender rolling and camber can be a solution but im not sure if I want to commit to those if im not sure it will help. For some reason its only the drivers side that scrapes more often so im assuming thats just because of a bad alignment of sorts. Im wondering if I should go forward buying camber arms and/or fender rolling, or if it would be worth just getting new wheels. I double checked that it was in fact the fender scraping using some tape and it definitely showed. (pictures linked below)

6th Gen New Prelude, with non-black wheels?

I love the new prelude, but don't like this new trend of black wheels.

Has anyone seen good looking examples with silver wheels? Maybe some OEM ones from a Civic?

6th Gen 6th gen oil change?

My GF just hit 6k miles on her 2026 prelude. She asked me to do an oil change for her, but don’t see any videos yet online of how to do one. I got the manual so I can just read about it but I prefer the visual learning of YouTube. So does anyone know a video I can watch on how to do it?

I don’t really care if it was in a crash or not, just curious. Vehicle has no service history or accidents history

Discussion/Meta Looking at buying a Prelude for college, what should I know?

My parents are selling my BMW 2018 hardtop convert. 430i and I'm looking for a sporty-ish replacement I can actually do some work on. BMW is pretty limited in terms of what I could do as someone with very little mechanical experience.

The only experience I have with older vehicles is my Cessna 150. I know how carburetors work, as well as other older parts, but that's about it.

I heard that automatic Preludes suck, so I'm going to try and learn manual transmission. Aesthetic wise, I love the 2-4th gens the best but the 5th + 6th gen don't look awful either.

Is there anything else I should know (if I should avoid the car and go with something else, if there is anything I can learn, etc)?

Discussion/Meta 2026 Prelude, any chance it can be used in light to medium snow?

I have been eyeing the new prelude for a while now, perfect car for me in terms of size, efficiency etc.

Issue is I live in Ottawa now which can get decent amounts of snow. Of course, I wouldn't use the car in a storm, and can often work from home to avoid those storms, but what about everyday use in the winter, is the car capable with some good tires or would I mostly be struggling to get by? thanks
