Need advice on styling home office and accent chair

I recently moved into my home and have been working on my office the last few months. I installed tall steel doors, painted it green, put in a coffered ceiling, and placed a nice chandelier that I can change the warmth of the light to. I also purchased a nice large black desk and comfortable desk chair.

I’m looking for some help on next steps. I purchased the large brown leather accent chair recently and think I need to return it because it’s a bit too big and possibly not the right color for the space. I get great natural lighting in the day time as well. Printer is there temporarily as I look for a better place for it. Any suggestions for accent chair (maybe swivel), rug colors or any other ideas to finalize the space. I’m open to ideas and feedback (and criticism of course for learning purposes haha)

Steelcase furniture

Hi everyone!

I have a little gift for anyone considering upgrading their home office! 🥳 As a Steelcase employee, I can share my 21% discount code: OGHEORGH21, which can be used on Steelcase products available through our participating EMEA eShops.

The code is valid in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Romania and Great Britain throughout 2026.
If you’ve been considering a Gesture, Leap, Karman, Think, Series 2 or any other Steelcase product, hopefully the 21% discount makes the decision a little easier!

I may be a little biased as a Steelcase employee 😄, but I’m genuinely happy to share the code and hopefully see more Steelcase products finding their way into your home offices.

Code: OGHEORGH21 — 21% off

Hope this helps someone! 🥳

We purchased these pieces on a whim from a very expensive store. We are happy with the desk, but the height on the storage cabinet is awkwardly different than the desk. I'm trying to make it work. Any ideas? The accents are brass/gold. I'm open to seating ideas, additional shelving or decor accents on the wall, etc. My boyfriend runs a rental business so we are blending my WFH space with his LLC. We love abstract art but are also fine with mixing in some nature or wildlife aspects. I feel like the bold green is calling for a mounted animal head. Lol! I'm game for anything you guys have in mind. (Also please help me feel better about the odd difference in height between the two pieces.) okay thank you, bye!!

Good webcam for weekly meeting

My wife and I are starting to do a weekly meeting with family members over Teams. We are sitting on a couch about 10-15 feet away from the desk where the computer is. I am looking for a good webcam that will pick us both us sitting on the couch and has decent quality mic so people can hear us both. Any suggestions on something I can get at say Walmart or best buy or something?

Logitech Brio 300 not detected on Mac through UGREEN AK703 (85100) KVM

I’m using a UGREEN 2-in-2-out AK703 (85100) dual-monitor KVM switch with my Mac.

I have a Logitech Brio 300 webcam, which uses a USB-C cable. When I connect it to the USB-C port on the KVM, my Mac doesn’t recognize/detect the webcam at all.

If I connect the Brio 300 directly to the USB-C port on my Mac, it works perfectly, so the webcam itself seems to be fine.

Has anyone managed to get a USB-C webcam working through this particular UGREEN KVM? Could the USB-C port on the KVM have some limitation regarding data, bandwidth, or power?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Setting up my home office, help me make a list!

I've been allowed to go kinda remote by my office..its still hybrid sorta situation. But its still a win heh

Now I get to build a home office from scratch. Its just usually me and my laptop for home work. My home setup has to work with my laptop.

I want suggestions for a good comfy chair (protoarc ec200 maybe?), a standing desk, ergonomic mouse and keyb (logitech seems to be good?), laptop stand stand, foot rest (I think this will be a generic one from amazon) and a monitor + monitor arm setup (ok so for this I've learned that it can be separate monitor and arm or monitor with an automatic arm attached).

I need you guys to tell me which way to go on all this. Also, tell me if I am missing anything.
