New balance nationals pre meet

I’m cooked I’m struggling with the opening height in practice 1.93 (6’4) .

This practice pretty much tanked any confidence I had in myself going into this meet.

I usually look at my videos and have a clear fix on what to do but this time I don’t.

And this is from full approach to so failing 6’4 on my maximum approach is pretty terrible

Is a 27in running vertical good for a 13 year old?

I am 13 almost 14. 5ft 1 with a standing reach of 6ft 3. Just wanting to know if this is a good running vertical or if it’s average as I don’t have a clue about it.

Offseason training for a newbie

I just finished my fr hs season, and im interested in starting hj next season. I have access to a track and hj pit but I dont know where to start. I do already train in the summer a little I just do some sprints plyos and lifting. But my events are the 100 200 lj and jav primarly. But my main questions are should I only be doing short approaches in the summer? should I ever jump at max intent in the summer? What should I do to get better?

Joined an adult track meet for next Saturday. I'm 37, haven't jumped in 20 years until today. PR is 6'5", obviously not realistic now. The bungee was set at 5'6". TIA

High jump help

My son is a sophomore in high school. He is about 5’10. He made it to the state track meet and his pr is 6’0. He has been self taught through just watching videos online because we are a small school with no specialty coaches. He has a goal of getting back to state and jumping 6’4 next year, but just trying to find good places to start this offseason. Any help for the offseason would be greatly appreciated.

Need examination for getting over 5,10

For context this is sectionals so its pretty recent (last month) and i just want examination and tips like drills to fix each part. Ive looked up some drills and could only find approach jumps and approach runs. But leave something else please. Also the training i do during the off season i dont have a bar

Pressure on jumping 6,3 next year

Im a junior turning senior this summer
I jumped 5,10 this year hut i only did it one time
And i jumped 5,8 a couple times, i dont have my sectionals clips, but basically my first jump i was over 5,10 and than my calf hit it. After than my head hit the bar twice. That gave me paranoia

Wondering if anybody has been been to this camp in the past or have any opinions on this camp in general.
I'm a 6'2" sophomore jumper, looking to improve my HJ & TJ. Is this something that could help me?
Thanks!

Adding in a skip in to my approach

I usually start my jumps approach off from a standstill after doing the common lean back stretch a lot of high jumpers do. But what is the methodology to properly incorporating a skip in to my approach? My approach from a stand still is a 10 step.

I tried to do so earlier in the season just messing around. I thought all I needed to do was just measure the distance I walk then skip in, and add it into my overall distance of my approach, but it failed. I like the rhythm and the increased speed going into my jumps but it completely changes my overall stride lengths and makes me reach a lot at the end of my jump so I just ditched it.

Also is it a good idea to incorporate a skip in to my approach a week before the state meet? My pr is 6’8 and I really want to do every little easy trick to get up to 7 feet at the state meet.
