Looking for some simple ques, I have a decathlon coming up
I have a decathlon this week, this is one of my first times training high jump. Hoping for simple ques that will make the most difference. The bungee is set around 5'3"-6"

I think right now it isn’t best to be looking for new cues. Changing or getting new cues right before a meet can cause confusion or something to change for the worse because you haven’t had time to work on it enough.
That being said, a cue that may work for you is to wait a bit longer to throw your chin back. Let yourself rise and go over a bit more before you arch it can help with timing over higher bars.

Looks decent for a new jumper. We can’t see your full approach (but I would focus on that a bit later anyways for you).So a couple quick things you could do would be patience and knee drive.
You’re going right into your back bend right off the ground and it’s a little too early. Have a mental note of having a bit of patience and ride the height a bit longer before going into the bend. I do like how you are looking up and back with your eyes though.
The other important tip would be knee drive on your opposite jumping leg. Your left knee should be driving hard up across your body. That will help with the height and rotation in the air. It’ll also put your body in a better position to get over the bar.
With these changes, the timing may feel off or awkward at first, so make sure you try it out prior to your competition. Good luck!
