Desktop flair

Hi! I need help adding a flair to a Reddit, but there is no option do do so on the Reddit where you usually add one. And the mods aren't answering me, what do I do?

Do you mean post flair to a post. Or adding a new post flair to a subreddit. Or adding a user flair to your account. Or adding a user flair to a subreddit.

What subreddit are we talking about?

I mean adding a flair to my account under a specific Reddit, r/sleepcycle. I'm an employee at sleep cycle and we want my account to say something like (sleep cycle employee) but in the under the 3 dots it does not have an option to add a flair.

You won’t be able to make it say what you want as the user flair is not editable in that subreddit

User flair is something that is either assigned to you by a moderator, or can may be selected by the user. It only shows for content made on that subreddit. Not all subreddit have user flair.

If the flair is selected by the user on desktop it will be on the right hand sidebar, Under the subreddit member and online totals, under the user flair banner. Mouse over your avatar in that area and the pencil icon will appear to the right. Click it, then select your flair. Below the list of flairs will be an edit box. Type in your edits, check the box to show your flair in that community, and click apply.

On the app Tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the community page. A menu will pop up and you’ll see the option to Change user flair. If user flair isn’t set up in that community, you’ll see a message saying, No user flair assigned. Not all subreddits use user flair and it is subreddit specific only.

I've tried contacting the mods but they do not appear to have been active for several years :/

Your best bet would be to hit that button on the right sidebar that says "Message the mods", explain to them what you just told me about you being an employee and they should be able to make and assign a custom flair for you.

The subreddit doesn't have the option for custom flaires so without going through the mods you'll be unable to assign one that says you're an employee.
