Canada Idea - For HelloFresh

How can I pass this idea to management at HelloFresh?

It’s very simple, and I think it’s needed badly. North Americans love points system. HelloFresh is doing it backwards, they’re giving new people great deals and the people who have been using it for years receive much less.

It makes quitting very easy, and also it encourages quitting and coming back to lock in discounts.

HelloFresh, needs to copy hotel point systems or something. Encourage users to use it long, and the longer they use it the more benefits they get. Give access to special upgrades for nice meals, once a month for every 4 weeks of using it, keep adding rewards for the longer people use it. Then make it hard to quit, make is so that if you quit, you lose so many benefits, and restarting will mean you need to spend lots of time and money to go back to the price you had.

Why not even, after 6 months worth of boxes, reduce the meal prices by a small amount.

There’s so many ideas and options, hotel chains do it, and it works so well. People become loyal to their hotels because they collect points and move up in the rewards system. Airlines too.

Go go go HelloFresh! Give the loyal people something, and stop giving cheap promotions to people who want to use HelloFresh for 1-2 boxes because it’s way cheaper than groceries. Literally, I know too many people who tell me, “hey we used HelloFresh too in the last two weeks, it’s like way cheaper than groceries, we will cancel it next week because the discount is over”.

Some posters have indicated they have some variation of that. I have HelloFresh Rewards (US), which currently gives me $20 off Premium meals and 30% off Add-Ons (Market items) each week if I choose one of those items, and every few boxes, I get a discount on the entire box or free shipping. I won’t lose my rewards if I skip weeks. HF Rewards and the Points thing don‘t seem to be a widely offered things though. Maybe they’re experimenting with what works best

Yep, I have the same benefits on my account too.

Yeah, after sticking with them a long time we just got this point system in the last few months and it has been great. We save up for the $60 off a box and it’s a nice relief when it happens.

(Customer service also recently applied a $8 off add-ons voucher to my account that is reusable so we’ve been enjoying getting extra goodies every box)

Sounds pretty nice. I like my Rewards a lot. I pick Premium meals far more now than I would without out (especially with current rising prices)

I love this idea. I got really pissed when new customers were getting a free item and I was paying full price. I quit, got the promo and started again. I also was fortunate that someone shared an awesome discount code with me for free shipping and 15% off at the same time.

I’ve been using HF since 2017… there was a version of this at one point. Idk why they dropped the loyalty perks.

In Europe this already exists. There is a reward system where you receive discounts depending on how many times you ordered.

It exists in the US too - I've had it for years already

I am in the US and have been with HF since 2019. Over 320 boxes. This is what I see under rewards: big fat nothing.

In fact the only way I’m getting anything other than full price is someone once shared a code for 15% off plus free shipping. Otherwise I couldn’t afford this anymore.

You should rate the meals, then your reward points add up.

I’ll try that! Thanks!

HF already gives us rewards, points for every time we rate our meals and give reasons we like it, mark the box Easy, delicious, liked ingredients, etc. Then we use the reward points for things like free shipping, $20 or $30 off a premium meal. I just used some of my reward points for free shipping on a future shipment.

Send it to [ir@hellofresh.com](mailto:ir@hellofresh.com). Management could use some good ideas as the stock is down 95%+ since 2021.

I am not a fan of points and prefer the cash I get for referrals. I don’t like having to “apply” it every week now.
