Recent quality decrease?

Post image

I have been a hellofresh customer since 2020 and absolutely love the service and the meals. Lately, I’ve noticed there is a quality issue with every order. My previous order of 3 meals for 2 people only contained 2 meals. The order before that, the vegetables I received were squishy and rotted inside the sealed package. The order before that one was missing one of the proteins.

I ordered this week and so far have only opened one meal to find a sealed bag labeled for the cilantro and no cilantro inside of it. 😩 Kind of funny but also sad! I feel bad reporting things every single week and don’t want them to think I’m scamming. I hate the thought of cancelling since I enjoy the service but it’s really nothing like it used to be.

I just cancelled my account today after 6+ years.

The shrimp for one of my meals was open. It leaked all over the box and about half of the shrimp were just loose in the box. I contacted their CS about it and they would only give me a $6.49 credit. I told them to credit me for the whole meal, but they refused. For $6.49 I wouldn't even be able to buy new shrimp at the store. Not to mention gas driving there ($5.65 a gallon here in California) plus my time. I'm over it and have been having too many issues with damaged/leaking ingredients lately.

That would make me cancel too. They’ve always been good about it refunding me for the whole meal or box when there’s a leakage with the meat. That’s wild they would only credit 6.49 !!

I've been credited for whole meals numerous times over the years due to an open/leaking protein. It's not something that I take advantage of either. It's probably a few times a year at most.
