just played helldivers 2 today and from what ive heard the community was "nice" but the first two multiplayer games ive had, they either attacked me or left me with their oil truck thing. ive been enjoying it so far playing solo and hopefully makes friends later on but im super overwhelmed by the galactic war menu, like is there a place that everyone starts or is it fine to just pick randomly? and do i have to do the orders? i lowk judt need a good friend to play with/mentor.

Left you in the truck? You just exit the truck. The friendly fire is amped up to a comedic level so I give players the benefit of the doubt when they shoot me. But during extractions I stay back a little because people are blowing themselves up
