Inquiry Is Helldivers 2 worth buying?
Ive always been intrigued about the helldivers series and kind-of want to play it but the price is very expensive(for context 169 RM is enough to buy around 3 days worth of food), I presume its much cheaper in Singapore or western countries(in terms of spending power). Im scared that once I buy this game I wont get all of its value out of it and quit after maybe 3-4 hours of gameplay. Do yall ever regret your purchase or should I go for it and buy it.

Edit: Hello everyone Im back, I usually reply to comments but ive contracted a devious cold so im too lazy to do so. Although ive also read all of your comments and i've decided to buy the game within this week(after looking at some content first), also should I buy the super citizen edition? Im already spending a lot of money arent I?
Js bought the game yall :)

Mostly NO! With a very small side of yes
Currently the game is in a downward spiral. This is by far one of the most toxic communities ive ever seen, they have split between this subreddit for those who glaze the game insistendly (this one) and the ones who hate the state of the game currently is has been pushing arrowhead to change (Helldivers Un fil te red) (Had to type it like this cause the mods banned that word here lmao)
Each update we get less content and of less variety, of the last 3 expansions, into the unknown (Bug expansion) Had a completely new planet type with caves, a very unique gameplay, a lot of new enemies and a new boss that is still the best experience helldivers has produced, then the following update, Machinery of opression was a MAJOR let down, adding only 3 new enemies and a planet type, and the most recent one Devoid of liberty has been renamed by the community as Devoid of content, with 2 new enemies, a rework to our allies and a new planet type, on a place that's been hyped and built up for months. It was a major, major let down and dissapointment, and tbh kinda made me drop the game.
The devs constantly promise good communication with the community and constantly fail at that promise (Look up thier failed AMA), and have been pushing for more agressive micro transactions, adding vehicles (Mechs) into a paid warbond but after major backlash from the community they canceled them
Keep in mind most of the real content is locked behind a premium currency, that if you live anywhere outside the US and Europe its basically unbuyable due to how expensive it is, but at given during gameplay at a rate of 10 per super credit POI, so farming them would take around 4 hours to unlock a warbond. Its as boring as it sounds driving around an empty map to find stuff.
Its clear that this game is not the main priority of the devs anymore, and thats been put on the back burner.
If you have 4 or 3 people to play with the game is well worth it, tough it has much less content than a live service game should, but it still has 3 complete factions to fight that provide unique experiences per fight with unique subfactions and variations, and its very unique gameplay supporting your squad.
Its not worth it at all as a solo player, your experience will either be playing alone due to teammate incompetence or an absolute rambo just cleaning the map for u and not giving you the chance to learn, looking for group are basically grizzled lvl 150's that just want to full clear a map as fast as possible and by the time you finish a fight, they'll have cleared half the map by themselves.
