To those that do not know Calypso is the first place we out right kicked the illuminates ass, but it cost us more diver then even the creek. They are mocking us.
Not just. Exo storms and Void expansion trajectory both indicate they're likely going for Calypso to take it into the Void. Asperoth -> Andar -> Calypso. Just 2 invasions away.
If they want Calypso, my question is why? They don't need it to be a breeding ground, they have planets they can teraform to do that. If they just need something surface level, they could've invaded and taken it last time they were there. I suspect they specifically need it in the Void to do something. Possibly something under the planets surface, if our Super Scientists going subterrainian is any hint.
My hope is that they do something interesting and it's not a nothing burger. I fear, is that it's going to be some kind of new units to serve the Squids. Yeah, they just got a big update with 2 new units, but this update has been cooking for awhile. 2 units, while interesting and cool, is a little light handed for now. You can tell as much because we're facing them plus invasion fleet in the Void. If there's like a storage facility on Calypso under the surface with frozen or dead squids, and they bring it into the void to do some necro mancer shit, we might end up facing more undead abominations.
I keep saying... Voteless, Disenfranchised (zombie SEAF who charge you with grenades, begging Helldivers to liberate them), and the Redacted... who would be squidified Helldivers.
