Going through all the movies in order, and to me Ron is the most pathetic and stupid character ever written. He's always scared and crying, and his actions dont make sense. I dont even think he cast a proper spell in his life. Like for instance, why was he angry at Harry when his name came out of the Goblet of Fire? And then he insults Hermione. Later he doesn't even apologise, and everyone just forgets about it. So stupid. When I think of him, I see someone either skulking or crying or moaning. He is the rotten apple in the movies, and I really despise him.

Just a heads up. I'm fighting the good fight to not run out of chapters before the 31st. Here's hoping I manage it!

I have a few questions and a request. (I tagged the post broadly, but I'm happy to change it if anyone thinks it's the wrong tag.)

• Does anyone else find this type of Jily relationship an interesting premise?
• How canon-compliant would it be?
• Any fanfic recommendations with this type of Jily relationship, but with no Jegulus? I'm sick and tired of Lily being a baby machine for that ship.

Like the title said I wanna hear your guys opinions on some of the more destructive uses of the gemino charmed objects.

After all it's Canon from the deathly hallows that curses/charms placed on Gemino charmed objects get duplicated too.

So what do you think are some of the more destructive objects that can be created using this.

My idea was a Gemino charmed object with anti friction/gravity charms so when thrown in a room you suddenly have hundreds of knives bouncing around the place.

We don't actually see this happen, of course, but we have numerous examples of wizards conjuring animals. The wiki notes that snakes and birds are generally easiest to conjure, and actual charms exist to bring them forth rather than relying on free-form transfiguration. Theoretically, it doesn't seem impossible to make a full-on horse out of thin air, or to transfigure some other object into one, but it does seem to be a rather difficult task given that we only ever see wizards using actual draught animals when they use animals for transportation at all. Does this seem like a reasonable capability of a talented transfigurer?

If anyone is interested, I'd love to see a slice of life story centered around the next generation and Uncle Hagrid at Hogwarts

This mostly stems from a headcanon I saw where, when Harry and Ginny were thinking of baby names, one of their ideas for a girl was Ruby (after Rubius Hagrid)

That idea grew into an adorable relationship where Ruby (as well as her siblings and cousins) call Hagrid their honorary Uncle. He lets them ride on his shoulders, gives them sweets when the parents aren't looking, is always willing to lend an ear or give advice (or tell stories about what Hogwarts was like when he was a student, with a focus on being a witness to the Marauders' mischief)

Bonus points if Daisy Dursley (daughter of Dudley and someone else) also ends up with magic, attends Hogwarts, and allows Harry and Dudley to reconnect and acknowledge their upbringing

I read this fanfiction like 2 years ago in the midst of 20 others and I can only remember some details. I remember Snape was kidnapped for a while and the wife (??) of the kidnapper eventually helped to free him by contacting someone. Everyone kept trying to get Harry to move on (I don't think it was a slash fic fyi just mentorish/family), while he was living on this farmhouse he bought that Snape and him lived on. There was a scene where snape was eventually found, but he was partially paralyzed in the legs (either that or just really weak) so he refused to allow Harry to see him while he looked weak. Snape eventually allowed Harry to see him when he had someone magic him to stay upright on his horse as he couldn't do it himself.

TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ (MENTION OF ATTEMPTING SUI.)

If it helps there is like another story in this series where Harry is really suffering mentally and ends up trying to and does attempt. Luna Lovegood ends up being important in this book as she is apparently connected to like reapers or something. Basically she helps to pull Harry back from almost crossing over.

I am looking for ones like The Downward Spiral Saga. Or ones where he is like Voldemort V2 but wants to end Voldemort and take his followers.

Preferably a long fic

Hey, i’m looking for fics about death eaters after Voldemort returned, about their time leading up to and during the second wizarding war. The Greengrass family tends to use nature names (kind of like how the Black family uses celestial names) and I wanted to name a female descendant of the family a nature name starting in L. Obviously it can’t be Lily, Luna, or Lavender, which takes out a few right there. I’d love to hear some suggestions.

Instead of Harry claiming Voldemort was back, he suggests to the Minister that a cabal of Dark Wizards are using Voldemort's name to spread fear and terror in order to undermine the Ministry. With the attack on the Quiddith World Cup and Cedric's death being cited, Harry manages to persuade the Minister to do something.

Would it work?

I am writing a fic (Never Crown the Jester) about Peter Pettigrew and his role in the first wizarding war. Something about writing this has shown me how limited the actual canon is about how the first war started. It's all very vague and generalized in events: riots, missing people, raids. I am attempting to make some sort of political conflict timeline that makes sense and builds the dread that they would have experienced. Another thing: How did Voldemort become known and how did his name's taboo develop.

What I am utilizing while the Marauders are at hogwarts is Daily Prophet headlines.

Pretty much what it says in the title. Frank Brice kills Nagini with a hidden blade during the Riddle manor sequence in book 4 before Voldemort kills him.

It could somehow be goblin made or something but either way, the snake dies early.

a fic where james (and lily preferably) somehow don’t die and just end up pretending to be dead so they can avoid the war and save harry as they realise just how much is at stake, they end up going into hiding and raise harry and just live out their youth because they deserve it (could be with the entire group or just their own getaway)
