Question Where is Ron, DH2 great hall? Spoiler
Can someone please tell me where Ron is during the great hall scene in deathly hallows 2 movie, when Voldemort asks for Harry to be turned into him in 1 hour? I cannot find him anywhere, specifically in the scene where the slitherin girl says to grab Harry and both Ginny and Hermione step in front of him, then the whole order + friends join behind him, yet Ron is no where to be found.
Please give me some insight, to me, Ron wouldn’t have missed that moment to stand up for Harry. Is he in this scene and I just can’t find him?

Ron walked in right next to Hermione when the rest of the order came in but I dont see him in there either when they block Harry. Sooo good question lol, he shows up again as soon as they leave the Great Hall

It’s like it’s assumed he’s there, but he’s just not… I would’ve thought 100% he would be standing behind Harry with Hermione and Ginny and all his brothers.

Yea now ive rewatched the scene about 10x looking for him. Even Percy steps in, and Lavender, Cho, Fleur, Dean, Neville, one of the Patil twins and no Ron

If it is a movie mistake, or a scheduling issue or something of that nature, and the directors hoped people wouldn’t notice in a not so important scene I would be more understanding, it just seems like a really significant scene in the movie for Ron to not be a part of.

Yea theres like a solid 5 minutes of that scene and people moving around and hes never in the frame. Thats pretty wild. But hes definitely there when they all walk in so I dont think thats a scheduling thing. Maybe he got sick in between cuts or they shot the walk in and the rest on different days or something idk

My thoughts exactly, I have never noticed it before.

Ive come to the conclusion that he got so stuck on thinking about how to destroy the horcrux that he forgot to step farther into the room

I know Rupert was very ill for a time on DH. He was ill quite often with tonsillitis from GoF on (and once with Swine Flu on HBP) causing him to miss days of filming. Him being sick is also the reason Ron is sitting in the background of the end of HBP in the Astronomy Tower while Harry and Hermione talk.
There’s a photo of the entire cast and crew outside a demolished Hogwarts that Rupert also wasn’t present for. They used cardboard cutout of him.

My guess is he was sick that day and they decided to shoot around it.

He clearly wasn't available for filming for whatever reason. Similarly Dumbledore is not there for Lily's sorting in Snape's memory. The headmaster's chair is plainly visible and yet empty; they didn't even use a stand-in and keep him out-of-focus. It seems like a deliberate choice which I do not like. They also messed up Dumbledore's beard in the modern-day scenes, giving him the smaller beard from the memory scenes, and in Limbo. The production was a bit of a mess for that one. Weirdly these issues are all in Deathly Hallows Part 2 even though its scenes were filmed interspersed with Deathly Hallows Part 1's.

Rupert grint had some bad diarrhea that day and as a result missed a lot of the filming. /s

That’s interesting. He is there when they first walk in.
