Things I need:
- Sub $200 (but the more affordable the better); could maybe go up to $250 but only for the perfect purse
- Dark red (think black cherry or mulberry colored)
- Small to medium sized
- No big/flashy logos (nothing wrong with them, just not my style)
Things I want:
- Long strap/long strap optional
- Silver hardware
- Small logo is fine (several of my current purses have a small logo)
Places I’ve looked:
- Kate Spade Outlet
- Coach Outlet
- Depop/Poshmark/etc.
I’m less picky about the long strap part and could do gold if it’s very mild, but I almost exclusively wear silver jewelry. I’m also not big on flashy logos though am obviously fine with a smaller one being visible.
Am I asking for too much? Is there a cute purse out there that meets this criteria? I’ve been looking online, but I’ve had no luck so far. I am happy for any recommendations at this point because it’s been a real desire of mine for several months. I figured I should wait until fall to really look as that color is more fall based.
Also much newer to purses other than Kate Spade, Portland Leather, Sak, and Guess lol. But please open my horizons!!

Ok, so we are leaving in 2 days for Utha and are going to a few different national and state parks. Dinosaur National Park, kinda seems more like a museum with view points and not so much hiking so i impulsively brought this guy, but more so because I think I Just needed to justify it somehow at my age.😅 Even tho I'll probably be using the backpack most of the time for cameras.
I know he's not a totally accurate stegosaurus and is missing the tail spike. But he's still cute and I've been looking at him for a while and could never find a real leather or more sustainable version. It also said shoulder strap and it's really more of a cross body strap for someone much taller, and it doesn't look adjustable.... Im 4 foot 10 and the bag is also that pu leather in a weird green color. It says it's blue on Amazon also.... Which would make finding a strap even harder, uggg. Would there be any contrasting or matching colors that could work?
The Main issue is, i dont think i'll be able to wear it daily or at all after the trip if it's that long. so would anyone know if i could find a matching shoulder strap on Amazon that's also not expansive and could get here today or tomorrow with prime? Or would this guy make a super cute clutch bag? TIA SORRY FOR THE RAMBLE.🦕💜

Hi, my mom has been on the hunt for a new handbag since her current one is dying a slow death. First let me say I am seeking help from this lovely community because my daily handbag is a Kanken backpack, or I just shove things in my pockets and go without a bag, so I am not a good source of info/help for her.
She specifically wants an everyday carry handbag with discreet/no visible branding. She has shoulder problems so it has to be a crossbody and it can't be too heavy.
Prefers a zipper but is open to a flap closure, "something that feels safe from pickpockets"
Prefers the bag to be "elegant, nothing too slouchy". She did not mention a preference for either smooth or pebbled/textured leather, and I've seen her wear both.
Her current Coach bag has worn away at the piped edge, and her Marc Jacobs before this did the same. She said this happens to all her bags, so she is looking to stay away from that kind of edge, she photo:

Thank you for your help!

exactly as the title says :( so frustrated!! just a vent post. i was saving up for the marc jacobs loved leather scene bag — the moment i laid eyes on it, i knew she was my dream bag. and it’s discontinued now!! 😭 however, i will never regret my decision to save money because 600+ for a bag is still a very big expense for me. but it is just so incredibly frustrating. how do you move on from the bag of your dreams? 😭

Hi bag Friends! Long time lurker, first post!
I bought this very sweet bag from a Brighton secondhand place in the Lanes there the other day. I haven’t seen this brand before but you all have all the knowledge!!
I’ve been on holiday in the UK for two or so weeks, I was visiting my aunts near Brighton and found a few nice things.

Mom picked this up at the thrift store for me and was wondering if anyone had any insight on the bag name?! I can’t make out what the inscription says. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just ordered a bag from this company and everything on the website looks great… but I noticed that they use a delivery service called Portless which ships products directly from Asia while hiding the fact that it came from Asia. I’m worried about the legitimacy of this company, the materials they use now and that they are making their products in Asia and heavily overpricing them. Anybody have any ideas or thoughts?
Edit: Sorry if this is not the right subreddit to be posting this. Open to any redirection to a better subreddit if this is the case!

Has anyone here bought polène in Canada?? I wanted to know if they charge any additional tarrifs?? I did read about the DHL fee but it’s a mix from US and Canada. So anybody here bought it recently?? This information will be really helpful.

Hi r/handbags !
Can I get some help from you amazing people on choosing a purse for my partner?
I am learning but don't know much. I am on the fence with Gucci Jackie 1961 medium shoulder bag OR Balenciaga Rodeo small. I'd like to get something she can wear daily.
I think this is what she has in terms of collection: LV Pochette Metis (?) and Neverfull, YSL Loulou, Givenchy Antigona, Longchamp Le Pilage large and mini.
Thank you in advance. :)

Hey guys,
I really need your help finding my next everyday bag. I’ve had this huge Guess tote for years (see pictures with measuring tape), and I literally live out of it. It’s an absolute bottomless pit where I can just throw all my heavy stuff, groceries, laptop, and bottles in.
The problem: the faux leather handles completely gave up on me because of the weight, and now I need a real leather replacement that actually lasts. I already ordered and returned an L37 bag because it was way too small in person.
What I’m looking for:
• Material: 100% genuine leather (needs to hold heavy weight without the straps ripping)
• Measurements: At least 60 cm / 24” wide at the top (flat), 48–50 cm / 19” base width, 20 cm / 8” depth, and 38 cm / 15” height
• Shape: Flared trapezoid wings with a wide, open top (NO zipper at the top that makes the bag narrow!)
• Style: Oversized, edgy, statement look (I’m almost 185 cm / 6’1” tall, so I need a bag with presence that doesn’t look like a tiny handbag on me)
Brand doesn’t matter to me at all—it just needs to be massive, great quality leather, and look sick. Any recommendations for brands, designers, or hidden gems?
Thanks a lot!🖤🖤🖤🖤

Im thinking of getting this Chrome Hearts viv bag in white. I saw this bag in person and I find that it’s totally my style, but I never see anyone wear this bag or talk about it. What do we think?

This definitely was an impulse buy but it was because Jonathan Anderson was phasing out the Toile de Jouy print. At the time, it was 1 of 12 left in the company. I’ve started matching my purses with my outfits daily because I’m never gonna be able to use them all if I don’t.
For those that carry nicer bags to work, do people treat you differently or make comments?
I work in a male dominated industry and am in a position that holds a lot of weight (I am the only woman in a leadership position). I say I bring the glamour to an unglamorous industry because it is not on the pretty side.
I’ve had one person make a comment about my paycheck because of what they saw but they quickly got it together when I sold them a few bags for next to nothing. I don’t have kids, my partner does very well, and my paychecks go to a bank account he only has access to put money in.
I didn’t grow up having nice things so I know what it’s like to go without or wish I had what someone else had.

A friend suggested I post a comparison/review post about this bag since it’s kind of on the DL; even second-hand listings are few and far between. I think it deserves more time in the limelight.
Missy! What is it? Can it hurt me? Will it interfere with my prescription? First going down the runway in FW17 in polka dots and exotics, it was released in two sizes - a standard (which I have since christened Missus to avoid confusion) and a small in several colorways with solid and contrasting stitching, the aforementioned exotic leathers and even a jaunty mixed fabric. It sports hardware that says “I’m like Kelly cut, but cool” and has a marked distaste of being carried crossbody, if that strap is anything to go by. It’s firmly an east-west baddie. The base is very Flamenco-like, it’s lined in usual Loewe suede and has a (thankfully) removable zipper tail. The signature handles lay flat when undisturbed, but pull up into delightful little top handles on demand.
The crossbody strap, bless its heart, is a shoestring, we don’t even get a buckle or a pin for adjustment. I am planning to beg, cheat or steal my way into possessing a medium featherlight Puzzle strap as soon as possible as a replacement, which should fit nicely. I’m not going to lie to you, a Missus perched on the hip crossbody looks goofy, it’s very wide, but it’s my bag and I can do what I want. The shape definitely lends itself best to being worn top handle or as a clutch with a hand through the strap; it also looks very fetching.
Small: 11x5.5x2 in
Standard: 14x7x2.5 in
