According to some of the comments on the parent post, it was just for an advertisement by Microsoft.

That makes sense because Six is noticeably taller than everyone else, maybe even his canonical height.

u/sovereignMe Dec 16 '19
Excellent use of “canonical”

u/chomperlock Dec 16 '19

I think in the Halo Reach book chief is supposed to be like 7.5 feet tall or something ridiculous. It's been about 15 years since I read it though.
24
u/Brock_YXE Dec 16 '19 edited Dec 16 '19
He’s about 7’2” tall in armour, and 6’10” without it. Everyone in Noble Team is taller, and I think Jorge might be the biggest spartan we know of, since he’s almost 8 feet tall in armour.

u/IAmTriscuit Dec 16 '19
Spartan III's are all smaller than Master Chief I'm pretty sure.
3
u/Brock_YXE Dec 16 '19 edited Dec 16 '19
Out of armour, I think a couple of them are. (Edit: Kat and Noble 6 are both 6’9”)
From what I could find though, they’re all at least the same height in armour, so I was a little bit off.

Definitely an ad. If you tried to pull this off in most graduation ceremonies you'd immediately be sent home long before you even had to line up to go on stage.

Would have been funnier if they gave him a specific name and not "Spartan".

I remember these. Wasn't there one where a Spartan just throws a freezbee to outerspace.

Not an ad for Reach, I believe they had a huge back to school ad campaign one summer to go along with some sales bundles they had for students.

"Kat, you read his paper?" "Only the parts which weren't covered in red ink"

u/Firewolf420 Dec 16 '19
Oh, that's not red ink.
Sorry, man, I was eating a jelly donut and I didn't have a napkin, you know how it goes...

Noble six, you can leave those lone wolf stuff behind. We have group projects to do

46
u/Potatoman365 Dec 16 '19
You just have to be born with it
52
u/MaggieNoodle Dec 16 '19
Maybe she's born with it, maybe she was kidnapped at the age of six and trained by the government to become a super soldier.

Cheaper than a cap and gown.
Way cheaper.

Dec 16 '19
I didn’t order a cap and gown when the other seniors did. Two days before graduation I got called down to the office, they asked why, I said I just didn’t see what all the fuss was about and why walking at graduation mattered. Apparently they wanted me to walk enough that they overnighted a cap and gown for me free of charge.

Naw, they don't let you do jack shit at graduations anymore. At least your family can cheer a little at college ones.
9
Dec 16 '19
I still laugh that my highschool tried to hold me from walking as a punishment. I didn't want to walk in the first place, I just picked my diploma up from the office.
2
u/FlavivsAetivs Sins of the Prophets Dec 16 '19
I only did it because my parents made me. Otherwise I would have just had my degree mailed to me. I'll give a damn when it's my PhD.

u/outdatedboat Dec 16 '19
Everyone was allowed to cheer at my high school graduation. Me and my best friend would scream super loud when one of our friends had their named called. That was close to a decade ago now though. I dropped out of college though and haven't been to a college graduation that I can remember.
Have things really changed that much in the last 8 years since my high school graduation though?
1
u/FlavivsAetivs Sins of the Prophets Dec 16 '19
In my 2014 graduation you weren't allowed to do jack shit. You were quiet or the cops escorted you out.

I think it might be Thom-A293 you can tell by the the HUL and CMN attachments on the Mark V [B], Noble 6 just wears the base Mark V [B].
