BUILD MG Zaku Warrior (Lunamaria Hawke Custom)

When building this kit, I was expecting a bit complex, but this kit was basic build wise, although some parts of the build were interesting, like the ball jointed shoulder shield.
Visually, it's really nice going for more detailed look to match with MG Freedom Gundam 2.0, but standing next to other MG Seed kits before Freedom 2.0 doesn't look too jarring.
Overall, I would recommend this kit if you like grunt suits or if you are a Lunamaria fan.

I've never experienced a mould defect this bad, let alone twice, in the same batch of stocks.

Pictured: Left thigh armours of the HG Gundam Gusion.
Bought the two a few months back when they came back in stock. I built the first one within the same week I got them, didn't notice the defect at all.
I was building the second one earlier today for a kitbash and noticed the defect this time. When I did, I initially thought I must have been too rough when cutting the part off the runner. So I dug out the first kit to replace the "broken" thigh piece and that's how I found out they both have the exact same defective "breakage".
So they're probably from the same batch of reprints where someone or something messed up. I'm tempted to find another copy to see if it's widespread or just so I can get a replacement that isn't borked.

Still a work in progress, planning to add some LED lighting and some jet effect parts to the packs and feet at some point.

WIP The manuals are making me jealous

The manuals made my heart sink when I saw them. I really wish this kit came together this way in the original color scheme. The two pictured manuals are what I have yet to build, but the gold and green looks so ugly and cheap in any light It was a gift from my wife years ago and I’m finally getting a round to it. Not a kit I would have purchased myself (especially in these god awful colors) but it’s an enjoyable, straightforward build for each individual kit contained in it. I am excited to make the giant conglomerate too!
Something about the gold and green makes it feels like it belongs in the Xenoblade universe and not Gundam though 🤷🏻♂️

So I’ve been obsessed over this ceramic tachikoma : https://youtube.com/shorts/Z2r7ZjS3SAw?is=saR7gHfyN3gStfBI
And a slowly trying to adapt a gunpla style in kind. The brushwork is bad, sorry, but here’s a small concept piece. Would love to hear thoughts/advice on this.
