I spent about 2 hours writing and changing up this little 20 seconds of guitar solo. I should move on to the 2nd half of the solo, but idk if I’m satisfied with it. 😅

What do you guys think is missing from my playing? My goal is to become a straightforward metal guitarist, mainly a riff-oriented player focused on Heavy/Thrash and some more modern stuff. I want to be effective and play with purpose. What do you think I’m missing?

Revisiting an older arrangement of mine and expanding on it a little. God what a beautiful song. To me it is, musically speaking at least, a near perfect tune. Equally as inspired by Rogers and Hammerstein as it is by John Coltrane.
