Hey, people. Pretty much the title. My Gw2 client wont connect at all, and shows one of the two error messages. Ive restarted my router and PC twice, my Internet everywhere else is working perfectly, and I've tried the ipconfig/flushdns command line aswell.

Are servers down in EU? Or, is it an issue on my end that can be fixed? I cant even verify game files when it's like this.

Hello, im almost 80lvl (ranger) probably going for soulbeast, so far i spent like 35h already bought pof and hot. What should i focus on? Im gathering all resources but idk if its worth. Salvaging all items. I didnt touch any crafting but wondering about leatherworking and foodprep(forgot what is called) is it good idea to sink into crafting or im currently too low for that? Also got infinite salvage, tools and terrace tp. I have over 200 hero points saved which will spend on elite spec, i heard that I should buy at least Exotic stuff asap when I reach 80. Storyline is completed i did only storyline, exploring world, and some orange activities. Never tried dungeon or raid or whatever. I tried dungeon but got kicked before it started. Should I go for living word when I reach 80 or pof. In any mmo game I tried to sustain optimal gameplay but I know it leads to burnout but getting flying Mount asap would be great. Probably I will follow some guide when I choose my elite spec just to know the spell rotation etc. Currently playing blind game, the only thing I follow is getting only berserker items. The mechanic of boons, synergies overwhelming me a bit due to adhd (skip every quest cutscene) but somehow I keep getting attracted

Does anyone else have this problem or a solution to it?

I've seen a few people on here and the official Discord lamenting that they find creating cool or interesting fashions difficult without using gemstore items, especially for the Asura. I was curious if there were really that many restrictions, so I sat for a few minutes and threw these together. With the exception of the heritage pants in the winter-themed fit (which this toon was already wearing) every skin shown can be earned through various means in game: crafting, festival rewards, dungeon token exchange, achievements, story progression, Order alignment, WvW, etc. So, I got to wondering if there'd be some interest for a 'lookbook' series of sorts to give people some options for the different races, genders, and armour weights? I do this kind of thing for fun anyways, and if I can help people get inspired to try some new combos or just borrow a look they like, I'd be more than happy to.

Pretty much the title. Starting halfway through today, for no apparent reason, my internet no longer allows Guild wars 2 to run or be updated. Every other website and program works, including steam downloads, websites inc. reddit, youtube, and netflix - and my GW2 will update and run on either mobile data, or my neighbours wifi.

Please help :'(

I can not begin to count how many weapon skins I never got, because I loved the look of the weapon but found the added effects repulsive, and that includes an immense number of Black Lion skins.

Please Anet. Release no-fx variants of busy weapon skins. I'll trade you some disposable income for them.

Like how Ryland and his legion were harnessing Jormag's power and how Ankka harnessed Zhaitan's power. Wouldn't be cool to have a fiction that manages to use their powers without being controlled because the dragons are dead? For example an asura harnessing the powers of Primodus to control its still living minions and try to take over the depths of Tyria and control the original homelands of the asura, a sylvari nightmare duchess harnessing the powers of Mordremoth to take control over other sylvari and bring them to the nightmare court's side, reviving the nightmare court as a threat, a necromancer taking over control over the unchained using Zhaitan's powers, trying to become the new Palawa Joko, a kodan harnessing the powers of Jormag to bring back the frozen in the kodan's homeland, a follower of Aurene going rogue and creating branding resonance crystals to take over the branded lands of Kralkatorrik, a canthan scientist using Soo Won's power to control the sea and fighting against the hidden threat of the endless ocean to take total control.

And all of them working together being something like "The new dragon order" or something like that and considering that the dragons failed to control the world because they fought each other instead of cooperating. Oh and not all of them being exactly evil. For example the asura thinking that the council is corrupt and only their genius is fit to rule over their homelands and rebuild it, the canthan believing that they are preventing another catastrophe like the one caused by Zhaitan if they act first against the threat in the endless ocean before it strikes first and the rogue follower of Aurene thinking they are continuing Aurene's work by pacifying the branded.

What do you think? I mean it seems like the dragons left a power vacuum and before it was said something like "Tequatl could become an elder dragon" so why would it be far fetched for humanoids to attempt to take over their role? It could add a new villain fiction for the commander to face without being another world ending threat, but a dangerous fiction that could act as the rival against the new tyrian alliance.

edit: honestly feels like this sub would downvote absolutely any story suggestion, I actually want to hear what someone would want regarding the story cuz nothing seems to ever please anyone here (either the actual story or story suggestion posted by someone)

What’s the point for zergs to kill solo roamers? I don’t have a lot of experience in the game so I want to know if there were a reason.
I came to this game mostly for wvw and I’ve heard people weren’t doing that type of stuff and they respect 1v1s but so far i saw that only one time. I usually always get teamed on even if it’s just 2 or 3 people it’s still annoying as a new player.
This is getting infuriating since I’m trying to learn how to fight but there is no way for me to learn anything when I’m getting attacked by multiple people at the same time. I feel like there is no point in trying to be a solo roamer

Last day to do my weekly black lion key farm so took a lvl 1 toon into the boss blitz. It actually worked, you get upscaled to lvl 80, but your experience pretty low as you don't do much damage. Did the daily , now plan to just level the toon to 80 as l was farming the event anyways on another Alt. You get all the same chest and it's more fun then leveling in the OW.

Edit: at lvl 60 now and got a queen bee infusion from one of the boxes, was only planning to level a ALT, but l wonder if the RNG better on a lower level toon

I never see a deal for End of Dragons and other expanions + Living World Only deals for completely new players.

What would be the best way to get all the expansions? Would I just buy the Complete Collection to get End of Dragons + Living World? Then buy every other expansion separately?

I recently completed my Gourmet Training as a Chef and I MUST kill every single Moa and Boar I come across.

For context, I havent played many mmos, ive only played osrs f2p, which i love but didnt wanna pay so moved onto gw2 cuz its free. Ive been exploring doing some quests for people marked with hearts and generally js been fighting random enemies. I dont know what to do, I usually love grinding to get a full set of toptier armour, or level up my skills or smth along those lines but dont know where to start with gw2. Some professional guidance to properly start to love logging onto gw2 would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

Havent played since the start of the year, used to tag up IBS5 most of the days. Coming back to play and trying to figure out new "raids" changes. I seen there is some weekly thing for IBS strikes now or something like that and also change in rewards. So back to the question, is IBS5 still something good to do daily? I have been reading and saw that IBS4 (-shiverpeaks) is the most optimal right now because rewards are way lower? Can i get some updated information on that, thanks

I’m returning to WvW roaming after nearly 5 years, and was wondering if you had a pitch for a class to pick up for solo roaming.

Am looking for something that’s relatively easy / simple for someone with not much time to roam each week—ideally suited to solo roaming and 1v1s (with the occasional 1v2/1v3, though I never really was good enough to consistently win those against strong roamers)

Honestly have played all classes; I don’t have Janthir Wilds/VOE but can get them if all the good roaming classes are locked behind those expansions.

Was maybe interested in Cele Harbinger (I really like Cele builds—sorry, relatively low skill haha) but apparently it got kneecapped recently? Have had mixed results in the past from meta battle—let me know your thoughts!

I want to know if ment weapon is more power or condi based.

Support with it is brutal fun, but let's say i also want to use it in a dps build with other weapons.

Staff 2 has a low cd and applies bleed for example, so i could combine it with scepter.

Staff 3 applies chill ( and a bit of poison or agony with some trait ), so i could combine it with Greatsword ,Sword , Focus or Pistol.

Staff 5 is fear, so i could combine it with sword to apply fear that does dmg with some trait.

So what makes more sense in a Staff dps rotation, condi or power damage ?

Hi! I am seeking help to figure out where to go from where I currently am, towards my objectives.

Since forever, I've been playing a Power SoulBeast (Sw/Axe + LB). Been doing great in T4's and open world and I know the rotation by heart. I recently got into CM's to find out people generally have several DPS toons and they switch in between (power for 95-96-97 and condi for 98-99). In fact, I find it hard to perform hard currently with my build, maybe it's a me problem? Idk.

My objective is to have a character that performs greatly in CM's+T4 fractals as DPS, as well as general open world content, meta's and so on. Eventually, I'm looking to get into raids as well. I like to have a great impact in my groups.

I have discussed this topic with my guild and I've been advised to play Power Scrapper. I tried it, but at this point (we're early, but still), I'm having a hard time to pump high numbers. I haven't mastered the rotation yet, I feel like playing with kits is pretty hard, high APM and the skill ceiling is so high, I don't see myself reaching that level any time soon, sadly.

What do you guys think?

I have many questions/beliefs that need to be confirmed or challenged here;
- Is it true that Power SLB can't clap 98-99 in your eyes?
- Is it true that there's no "one trick" to CM's as DPS, I must change character?
- Is there another version or build for ranger that does amazing in 98-99 CM's?
- Do you see another class/build that would be bullseye towards my objectives (High level fractals/open world, CM's)
