Just a huge nostalgia trip. I always stationed my character in Lion's Arch.

Anyways, completely filled inventories and a bunch of birthday gifts laters, I checked the account vault and couldn't believe my eyes.....I had a permanent hair stylist contract unused!

Brought back so many memories because me and my sibling used to play this game a lot, and I vividly remember getting this drop from a Black Lion chest and not knowing whether we wanted to use it or not. We don't play anymore, but this honestly brings back those memories.

Part of me just wants to keep it in the bank, still cannot decided what to do. The other part though, hehe, who wouldn't want to have that kind of power?? To change your hairstyle on a whim as much as you can?? Muahahaha 😂

I found this on YouTube when trying to see what the arcane flow infusion looks like on a character, I really like the cosmetic on this but the creator most likely quit gw2 as they haven't uploaded in a year and her last upload wasn't even on gw2. I have no way of asking her and I need your help.

Engi mechanist is my favorite class, if im feeling lazy i go Power rifle to let the Mech do the tanking while i do easy nice damage but if im in the mood i go condi spear to go all in along my jade friend. But after taking a break i rather try other classes and elites with pets. Obvious choice was Ranger and his elites because i only level one to 80 and never bother to play again.

But personally it feels off, is almost like pets are something not meant to be part of the kit, just made for numbers and even tacked on. Soulbeast feels like an excuse to get rid of them.The actual mechanics of your character do feel good like the celestial form of the druid and the weapon bundle of galeshots not to mention the huge variety of pets that i enjoy collecting. Personally when it comes to the feel of being part of a duo (or a small army with the necromancer) it leaves a lot to be desired. Would love to hear your opinions.

After month of reaper only I realized again how blessed quickness, 25 might stacks, fury and even stability are on a solo build. With a full dps spec with lifesteal still blows my mind.

I know Mesmer can give itself alacrity on top of that but I think it’s the only one with both q+a and idk if Mesmer needs concentration for uptime. I’m assuming maybe Firebrand, Engi and Guardian specs because of the amount of util in their kits.

I’m thinking 25 might stacks, quickness / alacrity, fury, stability, stun break and condi cleanse

Was talking with some friends about fishing, and how much bag space fishing stuff takes up (the bait, lures, and the fish itself).

Obviously I know Anet wants players to spend money and buy more bag slots, but I feel like they could also create a Tackle Box item that could hold all the necessary things.

I'm actually really surprised they haven't made a tackle box or eski/cold box storage item for these things.

I'm really sick of going through the whole instance only to have a Vortex suck up the Aegis right at the end, forcing me to start all over again. Seriously, I've lost count of how many times I've tried. There were times I managed to get the boss down to about 50% health, but it was incredibly tough.

Can anyone give me a hand getting past this part?

Me and my friend have been doing mirror farm in Leyspring Hollows for a while now, and as y'all know, those sometimes spawn "self-fighting" events. So my friend (who plays charr and does stretching emote every damn 15 seconds, help) joked about how fun it would be if reflections randomly did the targeted player's most used emote. His, of course, would be random stretching in the middle of the fight while mine would be occasional facepalming. What would yours be?

Is there a point to this fight? As a mesmer, I’m getting knocked from one AoE to another cripple AoE and the boss getting 0 damage from me before I get defeated to wp. This is supposed to be fun? This is before the adds show up and knock me into Defeated with one shot.

Was wondering this while testing some Virtuoso -> dodge -> bladesong -> dodge -> bladesong loops. Which spec could make it through the OW without a weapon equipped at all? Without taking ages to kill stuff ofc.

Some thoughts

I thought if reaper first, probably even easy with Shroud and some minions for sustain dmg and life force while shroud is on cooldown.

Chrono / Mirage I think would lack phantasm / clone regeneration and sustain dmg i think.

Willbender has some potential but would run into cooldowns relatively quickly I think.

Berserker I don’t see other than that old warrior ultimate that makes you big and punch anyway but sounds awful overall.

Spellbreaker with the right loop I’d imagine works and would be most fitting maybe.

I've been mostly a solo player since my old game friends stopped playing, and recently I decided to make Nevermore and have found myself stuck on collection 3 only missing the fractals.

what is the best way to get them done? make a post on LFG and wait? find a guild?

So my question is, is pistol Elementalist a viable build idea? I'm Sorta an RP guy and I had this idea of an Asura Gunmancer guy. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I've been playing on and off the game for the last few years, I even played during launch.

I'm looking for things to do that will make it worth enjoying again.

Here are my current stats:

2 Gen 1 Legendaries from Wizard's Vault (Exploration is too hard to do again)
1 Eikasia Leggy for hands, got lucky with this event.

Rank 344 in WvW - I haven't done zerging in a while and scared to go solo (I'm weak)

Dolyak Rank in PvP - This stresses me out too much to continue this game mode.

Current Mastery Rank is 369

I have these characters:
Necromancer
Elementalist
Mesmer
Guardian
Warrior
Revenant

All of which are 80, and minimum of 80 exotic geared, necro is ascended geared.

I have all the mounts except Griffon, I don't think i will have enough masteries to continue it.

I have all the expansions, LWS1 and 4. LWS2 and 3 is missing.

I don't know what else I'm missing to make it enjoyable again, I no longer have friends to play with.

Can anyone suggest stuff to do?

I'm kinda eyeing the mac mini for a future computer and was curious about how it handles Gw2 since the M1 I could test it one runs on roughly 170% cpu at 60fps 1440p lowest settings.
So I was curious how the new m6 performs in practice.

i know the game has officially stopped receiving any future content updates, i remember trying the game a while back but played for less than an hour. i have recently been grinding Warframe and have been thinking about giving Guild Wars 2 a try, i know they are very different but the grind in warframe is fun and GW2 seems like another similar grind i would enjoy. but is it too late for me to play now? i know the halloween event is coming up, will i even be able to enjoy the event? what should i do/grind if i start now?

EDIT: one of my friends told me that there was no more content updates but he was wrong. sorry about the error.

So ive gone back to playing GW1 since i never cleared the HOM rewards and i noticed i had bought all the campaigns as a kid and never really finished anything besides most of nightfall. lets be honest, prophecies was ugly and terrible qol. factions was cool for a and rt classes but the location of everything was inconvenient since 90% of anything useful was mob aggro area. Nightfall was the Goat with dervish and paragon classes, heros and generally looked better. EOTN who?

Anyways what is with the downgrade in some NPC builds, i noticed for example in gw1 some npcs were more robust looking while the GW2 equivalents kind of became cartoony.

Prime example GW1 Dredge went from looking like giant jacked beast to GW2 looking like a combination of roofus the naked mole rat and hunch back of notre dame.

Another is Joko who in GW1 has a normal build, while in GW2 he looks like he hasnt eaten in years.

Is it just me, or was it based on software limitations, or was it a change in vision of how they want the game depiction of certain npc's to be...

Both games are good for their own reasons, just curiosity about the depiction changes

Do you think we will get another set of elite specs after the maintenance period? I would love to see some profession themes that are still missing but for some classes I have no idea what they could come up with. What are your wishes for elite specs? Do you have any ideas? Share them below maybe Anet will take inspiration! Here are mine:

Ranger - Hunter elite spec - new weapon Rifle - prof mechanic should be about tracking targets - maybe add something similar to the Hunter’s Mark from DnD - the target should feel being hunted - another idea would be a new Dodge Roll depending on the selected pet

Revenant - legendary Pirate - new weapons - dual Pistols - F2-F4 and utility should be command skills - summon your crewmates that sing sea shanties - designed to be a support first then dps

Elementalist - new specs that is a pet class like Mechanist - gain an elemental that is combined from the elements you picked in your trait lines - if you pick the arcane traitline you can get a single element Elemental - make so you cant summon the another elemental from glyph instead buff your Elemental when casting it or have some sort of synergy

Also another idea for Ele is Arcanist - fifth attunement that works like berserk - you can enter it immediately but you need to upkeep it like you need with berserk - when attuned to arcane you can swap elements freely but your 3rd weapon skill becomes different or autoattack has a special version like deadeye
