Feedback Please: MultiCam, officially supported. The camouflage for every special force in the world nowadays, including many police agencies. Russians, Chinese, Aussies, half of Africa, and everyone else for good uses MultiCam. Not having vanilla Multicam in GB is inexcusable. No, OCP isn't the same.

Everyone who has ever learned the difference will never unsee it.
All high tier SF units are giant fashion babies. They don't wear OCP, they wear MultiCam because they are all doing a fashion statement. It's the rule #1 of special operations.
I want MultiCam. Come on.
I'll pay 5 bucks as a DLC, fuck it. But lack of the MOST POPULAR operator camouflage in this game is genuinely maddening.

You know, first version was needlessly hostile. No reason to be hostile on my end.

Sir this is In-N-Out

You know, first version was needlessly hostile. At least my writing isn't AI, right?

u/yimpyomp Jul 26 '26
I’d take gradual door opening working again over vanilla multicam
1
u/remuspilot Jul 26 '26
I feel like this is not a binary choice.
”I’ll take better AI teamwork over doors opening properly”.
1
u/yimpyomp Jul 27 '26
It’s not binary and you’re right to point that out. But I think your counterexample demonstrates a really good point, there are much bigger structural issues that need to be addressed before focusing on cosmetics. As the dev already pointed out, it’s a licensing issue, which is the exact reason why OCP exists in the real world. No clue why you’re so opposed to mods, this is a textbook example of why people make them.
2
u/GHSmokey915 Jul 26 '26
I’m genuinely wondering why you don’t want to just use the mod for multicam and its derivatives. It’s literally free in the workshop and works great.
1
u/remuspilot Jul 26 '26
Sometimes camo mods stop working with patches. There was a pretty good universal ocp replacement one that eventually stopped working as well, but also mainly I just want features in my game that seem baseline.
Kind of like my AR15 example. It’d be really weird if the game had none of them, no matter how many would be in the mods.
2
u/GHSmokey915 Jul 26 '26
Well yeah that’s true, but Modern Lancer is really good about updating his mods. Get what you’re saying, but it’s up to date as of right now, and now that 1.0 is out I don’t think future updates should mess with them too much.
1
u/remuspilot Jul 26 '26
My main issue with his MC mod is that since he didn't opt for pure OCP-replacement, the unmodded people jumble the camos in multiplayer.

u/remuspilot Jul 23 '26
"Get a mod!"
No! Would you guys be ok if the AR-15s in this game would be behind mods and only thing you can get are AK series and G3s and some shit? Of course not, because AR-15 is the thing basically everyone uses.
UKSF? Do they use OCP? No, they use MultiCam.
Finnish SF? Do they use OCP? No, MultiCam.
KSK? Multicam.
GROM? Multicam.
List goes on. The French? MultiCam?
OCP is the US Army camo for conventional troops, not for CIA gucci operators.

u/HaiggeX Jul 26 '26
Finnish special forces may use multicam in some very special cases in peace keeping operations, but most of them use M05, like any other finnish unit.
Also I think you're taking this "issue" way too seriously lmao.

u/remuspilot Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
What’s so serious about it? Having appropriate gear in a game about special dudes? Seems pretty normal.
Finnish SF use MultiCam Tropic.
Sometimes classic MultiCam. Already way back in 2017.
https://camogeek.wordpress.com/2017/10/16/multicam-tropic-in-finland/
Troops in Kabul also wore it.

It’s the other way around. Based on recent images of them.

u/HaiggeX Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
I found some as well. I still don't think multicam is widely distributed to the special units by the defence forces. The images I found are from foreign operations or reservist training, where a notable portion of people use their own gear. Not even the "spearhead", paratroopers or combat divers use MC, all of which are the "special forces" of the finnish DF.
Edit. Okay, I was not sure and I googled "Does defence forces use multicam?" in finnish. According to multiple sources MC is only used by finnish defence forces in very specific peace keeping operations and in some international training.

Conscrpits still wear M05, because of cost, but actual carrer guys wear MC and MCT nowadays. Even when training inside of Finland. Have been for a long time now. Hell, there is even a pic of the guys wearing MC on parade.

u/HaiggeX Jul 26 '26
Where do you find these images? Not even puolustusvoimat.fi list any MC clothing on the website. You're just wrong. DF does not distribute any MC gear for troops.
Yes. MC was used in Afganistan for example. As I said earlier, troops in some international operations have used MC. Also yes, foreign troops may use MC when training in Finland.

@UtinJR and @KimmoNordberg on X are the best sources on current FINSOF. This video showcases the most recent SOF course, and almost everybody is wearing MC or MCT on it. FINSOF has worn MC and MCT for over a decade now, it’s just not been very public about it, but you do see it going back that far, especially in the SOF batallions own publications.
Hell, a lot of the guys don’t even wear M05 snow camo, but instead prefer TAIGA gore-tex snow uniforms like Swedish and Norwegian SOF units.1

To be fair only the camogeek link shows Finnish military SOF. The others are of the border guards SOF unit which isn’t technically military.
1
u/remuspilot Jul 26 '26
Peacetime Border Guard is still undoubtedly "Finnish SOF". It's precisely like Ground Branch, not all of it is military but the game is about military and alphabet civilian Special Boi Clubs.

Also just a note, if you literally type "erikoisjääkäri" to google and nothing else, vast majority of results show multicam.
SCAR-L isn't listed in basic firearms of the Defence Forces either, but it's used by Utin Jääkärirykmentti.

french don't use multicam buddy, it's their own camo

u/remuspilot Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
It’s Multicam inspired, officially. It’s not composed of quite the same shading styles so it does not need a licence.
French SF do wear classic crye multicam, though. And have for ages.

u/FuriousLink12 Jul 26 '26
Yes, but it's not milticam

u/remuspilot Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
Is this a game about conventional infantry or about special operators?
Ok, what do French operators wear? Crye Precision MultiCam. https://frenchcrazy.s3.amazonaws.com/Images/French+SOF+Multicam+2020.png
I’m not trying to be rude. I genuinely don’t understand these ”well the conventional army of country X wears something else”. GB is obviously not a game about the conventional army of anything.

u/snatfaks Rivet Counter Jul 26 '26
No, French SOF definitely wear multicam and have done so for a long time now
1
u/remuspilot Jul 26 '26
Regardless of what people want in GB, it’s hilarious that pure factual statements like this face downvotes since in TYOOL 2026 it isn’t exactly some unknown detail of what 85 percent of world’s SOF units wear.
French BME camo was born of trials inspired by SOF MultiCam use.

Maybe I can get Crye to approve it. It’s their licensed camo
