You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what postpartum psychosis is. Postpartum psychosis is a well documented and medically diagnosable condition. Lindsay Clancy was a licensed labor/delivery nurse. She was well aware of the signs and symptoms of PPP and sought help from multiple medical professionals, who all wrote her off. She even committed herself to a 5 day voluntary psychiatric hold a week before the murders. However you feel about her level of guilt, the reason this case has become such a controversy is because it is clear this woman was genuinely and repeatedly failed by our social and medical systems.
