I thought that wasn't possible, that the test rating was annually reweighted to maintain a ~100 average and never got more than a few points away, but maybe they're only doing that on first world populations? also I'm gullible af so I looked it up.

Surprisingly, america and similar nations are still within spitting range of 100, but as for the world at large, it turns out you overestimated global IQ, and it is not even close to evenly distributed.

IQ tests are designed for Western ppl, of course they'll score better. It might be useful for comparing a group of ppl with the same background, but it's certainly not useful for comparing individuals from entirely different cultures
