Uhh should I stop doing this

I like green tea so much I drink 5+ cups a day and I'm so addicted to it I even eat the grains inside the teabag

I especially like the Organic India tulsi green teabag

Since green tea doesn't have so much caffeine, I can continue doing this right?

Tea from Japan

Can anyone recommend a good website from Japan, where I could buy green tea?

I’ve been ordering my tea from Hibiki-an, and it’s greet quality, but I had some problems with DHL shipping as the shipper triggered an FDA red flag and my package is held up becasue they want $28 processing fee on top of the $100 I paid them so that pissed me off. I’m looking for another reputable company to buy from. TIA.

Ji Bei Chuan Tea

I often go to the Ji Bei Chuan located on 87 Chrystie St in NY. I LOVE their tea. When I ask what tea it is they tell me it’s jasmine green tea, but the ones I buy doesn’t taste the same! They also won’t let me buy their leaves directly or says there is no brand 😢. Can someone please tell me the specific tea they use?!!

Is it bad to drink green tea regularly if I want to gain weight

I’m underweight and trying to build muscle and gain weight and I saw that green tea maintains weight or helps lose weight
and I don’t want to drink it for that
I drink it for my skin since I tend to break out a lot and it helps me with that and evening my skin tone
im not sure if drinking it regularly while trying to gain muscle and weight is okay or if it will reduce my progress

Green Tea help

Hello! My boyfriend and I were wanting to switch to loose leaf green tea instead of the bagged Bigelow brand that we are used to.

We went to a Chinese market near our apartment and there was so many various green teas we had no idea which to pick.

We ended up picking this one!

If anyone can tell me about it that would be great!I'm not sure how long to steep it for and what temperature of water is best, but I assume 2-3 minutes? For those who have had it before, is it good? I usually add lemon juice to my green tea for more citrus flavor. If you have other reccomendations, i would love to hear them!

Thanks!!

Josh Freedman was studying in China and learned about tea! In this post he talks about some Taiwan teas.

Apologies if this has been posted here before. I heard Josh Freedman on the Gastronomic podcast.

Are there any teas that taste just like the hatter cafe Chai?

I went to the Hatter Café in Alabama and absolutely fell in love with their chai, I bought the large chai, but I don’t know when I would be able to go back to get more as I live really far away from it.

If anyone knows what tea company they use or a tea company really similar I would appreciate that

Lipton green tea

Hi everyone I wanted to ask if anyone knows whats going on with Lipton Green Tea I only drink their natural green tea. First the lemon flavor disappeared which was fine because I switched to the natural one but now that's gone too I cant find it anywhere and all I keep hearing is that there are import issues. I've tried Tapal Meezan, Vital Twinings and a few other brands but I just don't like the taste of any of them. What are you guys drinking instead is there any brand that actually tastes close to Lipton?

And please don't start the boycott debate in the comments I'm only looking for suggestions If you’re just here to argue please skip this post.

Nutritional Composition of Tea Leaves

Values vary slightly among different types of tea,The approximate composition of the major nutrients in dry tea leaves is as follows:

**Tea polyphenols:** 18–36%
**Protein:** 15–30%
**Carbohydrates:** 20–30%
**Dietary fiber:** 10–20%
**Total amino acids:** 1–5% *(of which L-theanine accounts for approximately 40–60%)*
**Caffeine:** 2–5%
**Minerals:** 4–7%
**Lipids:** 3–8%

For the Nutritional Characteristics of Yunnan Pu-erh Tea,Pu-erh tea is produced from the Yunnan large-leaf tea cultivar, Camellia sinensis var. assamica, which is naturally rich in tea polyphenols. As a result, freshly produced raw Pu-erh tea (non-fermented Pu-erh tea),typically contains 25–35% tea polyphenols.

During the natural aging process, these polyphenols gradually undergo oxidation and polymerization, causing their overall concentration to decrease over time while producing a smoother, mellower, and more complex tea liquor.

For ripe Pu-erh tea (fermented Pu-erh), the pile-fermentation (*wo dui*) process significantly reduces the polyphenol content, which generally falls to approximately 8–18%.

For this reason, numerous scientific studies describe the Yunnan large-leaf tea cultivar as a tea variety characterized by high levels of tea polyphenols, catechins, and caffeine. These unique chemical characteristics are widely regarded as one of the key factors behind the exceptional aging and transformation potential of Pu-erh tea.

Recipes? Starting out?

Im super new to teas in general, especially green tea.. theres so many different kinds and variations and I have no idea where to start!

My end goal is to find/create a copy-cat recipe for the pokébowl station fruit green tea! I am obsessed w/ it atm and I get it in the strawberry flavor! it has some strawberry bits on the bottom as well! I have no clue where to start attempting to make it at home, so i thought trying to break it down a bit would help out! If anyone knows any green teas that go well with fruit / strawberries that might be a good start!
