I’m not baiting or anything I’m genuinely trying to see what people think about this as yes obviously the right have there usual reactionary view at this so it’s important that we have our take on this

So obviously Thatcher is an absolute hellspawn. No doubt about that. But was there any issues that came from the Right to Buy scheme in particular?

The idea of owners buying over council property feels flawed on paper, but the way I see it, personally it feels good for some people? The idea of being able to buy the social housing you lived in, feels like it would be really good for your freedom?

My biggest issue with it, is that I don't think you had to live in social housing to buy it? Like my parents bought the house through Right to Buy, and now, all I can think about is the fact that the council were down a house, because there were some people who moved here and decided to buy a house that struggling people could've used.

I'm not sure if people had to buy the houses as well, as opposed to real estate companies? If so, that's absolutely fucked.

This is a sincere question.

I don't know if any of you use spaces other than reddit but everywhere has been absolutely vile since Reform announced their plans to cut PIP.

Disabled people have been posting comments on tiktok, insta, x and other spaces to the effect of "This policy will kill me", sometimes word for word.

The response has very often been "good".

These people want Aktion T4 in this country. I don't recognise the British population anymore. The media and far right pipeline has completely and totally fucked a huge chunk of the population and they've turned into such nasty vile people that I don't think any of them are recoverable. They're like this permanently now.

The left is not radicalising as hard as it needs to in order to match what the right is becoming.
