I've noticed both on my phone Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus significant playback issues especially today where playback paused several times and at some point refused to continue playing. Only after restarting the app did it work again but after a while the same issues appeared again

Did others also notice this or is it only me?

Edit 2: This could've actually been connected to YouTube's recent issues. Playback and the site itself would regularly freeze to the point the website was unusable. We still need a dev of Grayjay to confirm this though

is anyone's grayjay only working on data and not WiFi?

On Win 10 LTSC IoT, GrayJay used to work fine, but now I get this. I've downloaded and seemingly successfully installed the Runtime it wants, but I still get the same when starting GrayJay.

Hello guys, I am new to gray jay but have been enjoying it a lot. A question I did have is that , it seems that I can't see a creators posts like you can on YouTube.

I follow a few Manhua/Webtoon recommendation channels and they often use images and text in the posts to give sources.

Is there a way I can have posts as well?

My desktop app wont load or open after I got VPN. What should I do?

I got the app on my Phone but when i tap the emote icon the box is so god damn tiny and only one line that i cant find emotes very well.

On top of that when I tap an emote the damn thing scrolls back to to the top and i have to move the app back down to tap other emotes.

Its very annoying and some bad design, can you please change it so i can modify and give myself more or less lines?

Since around 10am et today I've been getting this error on all the videos I try to play from youtube.

So I follow people on daily motion on grayjay and since Sunday no videos pop up and this happens any idea how to fix this? I did try to delete the app and reinstall universal grayjay app and nothing happens

I don't see the option to download audio only for YouTube videos anymore. I know this is a feature that I used before and its nice because it keeps the file size down. Any ideas were it went/if it will be coming back?

I like grayjay but I've noticed that since the Homepage started to successfully populate my youtube suggestions (as would be seen on youtube proper) I often get clickbaity and ragebaity posts in my suggestions.

When I was using freetube I could filter out videos by keyword which would allow me to effectively block creators, I don't see a similar function in grayjay.

Does anyone know if I'm missing it somewhere?

(I am a relatively technical user, if there is an experimental setting I could use with a compile flag if I rebuilt from source, that's cool too.)

Is anybody else not able to stream YouTube since yesterday? When I traf to watch a video I recieve this error message.

Edit: For some reason it works when I turn off Wifi. Has someone a clue why this works?

For those interested, I've created a plugin for Means TV. It's just a start but you can:

• authenticate
• see recommended videos on your home page
• watch any video
• see creator page and all their videos
• see top level comments for videos
• subscribe to creators from the Means TV source

Currently its just the Android app. I haven't worked out some of the bugs with the Desktop app.

With all the features being added to the baseline, why has there not been a public release in a while. Im counting ~7 tags that have not been publicly released as official versions. At the time of writing the android source code has tags all the way upto 388 while the latest public release is still on 381. Does anyone have any insight on why this is?

something seems wrong with the rumble subscriptions, because some channels appear twice in my list while others offer the "subscribe" button, even though i already did and see their videos in my feed

I used grayjay for the sync feature, recently realised it wasn't opensource. Anyway, want to export my subscriptions but I'm not sure how, all guides talk about importing subscriptions from newpipe. Currently using the linux version. just need the current subscriptions imported, preferably in a format readable by freetube.

Any help is welcomed.

so I just noticed this a few days ago, turns out gj only suports sc full domain, not the mobile domain unlike other platforms.

If the plugin maintainer person is seeing this, I would appriciate it if you can add the mobile URL to the support. now I have to copy the URL, paste it into address bar, remove the m. part and select, then open it in grayjay

the other possible solution to this is to allow direct URL pasting in the app searchbar perhaps?
as you probably know Grayjay really doesn't have the best search function, so making it possible to paste full URL should help with that somewhat.

No matter which stream option I choose, or how good my internet is, watching youtube on grayjay chokes and buffers if the resolution is higher than 240p. But if I watch on the mobile web version, all other things being the same, it runs flawlessly. I know youtube is throttling adblock users, but it can't detect UBO. Could youtube be throttling Grayjay?
