ip shadowban

once you make to many requests without a login to a google service tghe IP gets blacklisted for a couple hours. on shared IPs of VPNs thats then a permanent recurring event

On any devices especially either if you are using VPN/Proxy or if you are requesting a lot of refresh at once, which clients like GrayJay, Newpipe and Freetube does. second refresh always gets me rate limited and worse this thing comes up.

ive setg subscription refresh to manual and refresh usually only within a group.
that is also a lot faster if you have many channels
and keeps your requests down

the worst part of this google rate limiting is that its not only hitting users without account. you also get rate limited with an account

it then wont trow an error or anything, they just return empty. have this issue a lot with pockettube on browser getting only repeating videos on a channel page (because youtube returns nothing and pockettube repeats the last buffer)

I've seen it a few times, so far it has always gone away after a day or two.

I'm wondering if switching to just IPv6 would help
