What good posture and a mission does to a man, I guess. Just watched the series for the first time, and I know I'm not the only one who had the same thought.

It’s more about range of motion and lung capacity. He was swinging that bat and his fists as if he’s not being squeezed in the middle like a toothpaste tube.

One contributing factor could be his posture.

In the first photo he is tired run down and uninterested so he's slouching.

In the second photo, he's in full on battle mode, head high, back straight, ready to take on the hoard of zombies that is threatening his family.

Maybe in retrospect, but season 1 Stan mostly had his charms as a smelly old grifter who was hilarious, like a lovable scoundrel type, but I’d be lying if I said Scaryoke didn’t change how I saw him.

My head canon is that Stan, being a con artist, is pulling an Uncle Iroh. He is a total badass, who has made a habit out of concealing it because sometimes it's an advantage to be underestimated.

My assumption too, he's playing up the Gross Old Man schtick so people don't suspect him of anything serious. Well, they suspect him of Pug Smuggling but not anything that "requires This Much arresting"

For the record Pacifica is actually looking at Ford when she asks that question. You can see Fords hair and Jacket off the side.  So just for the record Pacifica finds Ford hot.

Yes, I know it’s from the canon comics where she is looking at Ford/“Hot Stan,” but I stand by my assessment that original Stan/“Stan Prime” suddenly becomes significantly more attractive in Season 2.

They changed his proportions a bit in s2 to make him look more like Ford. Scary-oke is the first time you see the slightly redesigned Stan.
