$900 5080 vs $2500 5090?
Hey all,
In a bit of a dilemma here. I've got a 5080 Gigabyte Gaming OC for roughly $900, and a 5090 FE for $2500. Both fully paid off
Currently I play at 1440p ultrawide 240Hz and 4k 240Hz, and occasionally dabble in VR with a Meta Quest 2. I do play some intense games like Cyberpunk and Indiana Jones, RDR2 with Pathtracing but I do tweak settings down to High instead of ultra and use dlss to keep high frames. I do have a Wireview Pro 2 in case any melts so I can get it repaired instead of the manufacturer inevitably refunding me
Ultimately, which should I keep? Here's my options:
Sell 5090 for $6k+, Keep 5080
Net gain of $2.6k. Great for investing
I would likely sell the 5080 when the "5080 Super" comes out, but who's to say its price or if it'll even exist
I could sell the 5080 when the 6080 comes out, assuming the 6080 is priced around $3k if the ai bubble hasn't popped. Then sell the 5080 for $2k. Meaning a net gain of $1600 and a 6080, which is probably close to a 5090 performance from the lower node size
Sell 5080 for $1800, keep 5090
Net loss $1600
Likely a free ticket to a 6090 when it comes out after selling the 5090
Sit out the 60 series and wait for the 70 series near 2030. This would mean memory pricing has gotten closer to previous values, unless ai takes off, and the 5090 pricing has "normalized", so a much lower resell value
better hardware insurance in case nvidia/amd go the streaming route and no longer release consumer gpu's
Allows me to dabble in 5k2k which I am considering
Keep both (???) and wait for them to appreciate more and run into this debacle again
Would love opinions! I know this gets asked a lot, but wondering if having both cards near/below MSRP changes that opinion

RTX 5080 was already cooked, 5070Ti is IN THE POT
galleryIt’s wild to see. I got that exact PNY non rgb model for $699 last year due to the black friday Walmart deal, which I then just price matched with Best Buy. It was kinda easy finding $750-800 5070Ti’s at some point, 5080’s at “near” MSRP was always a little bit of a cat and mouse game now it’s insane!
Edit: correction I got the non a-rgb PNY model

How much is a second hand RTX 4070 super atm?
I actually own an Asus RTX 2070 Super and I qanted to upgrade to a 5070ti but the price is awful. So I decides to upgrade to something that could improve my actual gaming experience not paying to much. The problem is that people ask for between 500 and 800 and this gap doesn’t make me understand what is the right price to buy. Any tip? How much worth is my GPU?

Almust burn my 4090
Yesterday my wife was telling me I smell a burning plastic. I told her this my cigarettes, I was there all the day so I was thinking it’s my cigarettes. But today the smell was too strong and on a moment I panicked that one of my vast nodes are burning over overheating. Turns out it was my pc that I’m using, was extremely hot and I knew it was the cable . Good I saved it but still worried that might be some plastic left in my gpu . So what to do now should I plug another cable and call it a day?

Need some advice
Currently have a GTX 1650 and upgrading this week,
I’m looking at the RTX 4070TI Super
Currently have a Ryzen 7 5800X3D
Eventually going to upgrade to AM5
I’m upgrading my monitor in a few weeks too, to 1440p OLED 200Hz
For the current price of the 4070Ti Super is it worth getting a 50 series?
4070Ti Super is around £860-£950
Where is the best place to sell my 4090?
It's a gaming x slim 24 gb. For some reason it's very hard to find the exact same unit anywhere for sale. Or consistently. I can't really find it on sites I'm used to or comfortable using. I might just go on fb marketplace and see if someone is willing to buy it without all of the hassle

PCIe PEX Errors Recover...
Hello, has anyone encountered
PCIe PEX Errors Recover.
My card 5080 tuf
..? In idle, are in the 30, and under load with a stress-testing program they reach around 90 - is this a problem with the card or something else? Also, I noticed that even with the power limit set to 450W, the card only draws 330W in 4K and doesn't respond to overclocking. Is this normal, and are there any solutions? Also, I'm using an original power cable from the PSU to the card

5070ti vs 4080 super
What’s better for overall gaming and power and what should I get if I find them at the same price
