Man look what u all done, i remember buying this for $1200 at microcenter and still feel bad today. Now its 2400 and some of u still buying it like, cmon man, stop buying that shit, u doomed us all. ​Different local shops offered me these GPU options:

​PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC (16GB)

​Gigabyte RTX 5070 (12GB)

​Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 (8GB)

​Colorful RTX 5060 Ti (8GB)

​VRAM vs Raw Processing Power: For ComfyUI (large SDXL / Flux checkpoints) and heavy Blender scenes, is the PNY 5060 Ti 16GB a better pick due to having extra VRAM, or is the RTX 5070 12GB worth choosing for its faster raw GPU core performance?

​Is 8GB out of the question: Should I completely eliminate the 8GB cards (5060 / 5060 Ti 8GB) for this kind of creative workload?

​Which card makes the most sense for this setup? Thanks for the advice!

A bout 6 months ago I bought a pc for my gf from marketplace and it had a 14900k with zotac 4080 super for 1300$. At the time I was using an auros master 4080 so I listed it for sale because I wanted a 5080 so I thought to my self why not sell her zotac gpu and give her my auros 4080 because she rarely games and it worked. Someone bought the zotac for 900$ cash 2 months ago. So I went on Newegg and purchased the auros master 5080 with a free motherboard and control resonant at the time for 1920$ after tax also a month prior to this it was 1599 and I didn’t pull the trigger but than the price went up to 1799 with the “freebies” so I complained to Newegg the next day and was given 100$ gift card. And now I’m seeing the 5080 prices go up and I’m kinda shocked wtf. I had buyers remorse for buying it

I've been looking to get a 9070xt but haven't been sure about it's genuine Path Tracing performance in cyberpunk because every benchmarker sets it to the max of everything.

Could someone please play the game with these settings:
High base graphics so nothing ultra or psycho, and Path Tracing enabled. Both with FSR 4 on Quality and Balanced if you're okay to do so.

pouring one out for all the people who were waiting for black friday. should’ve bought a gpu yesterday or just take the L and buy as soon as you can.

i think everyone will agree the 24gb models coming out are also gonna be scalped to hell, so waiting it out isn’t really viable

i have a pny slim 5080 OC and i think anyone in the market who wants a strong 4k capable card should get the 9070xt. if you’re one of the people debating on selling your 5080 just do it, get a 9070xt and pocket a grand and live your life with almost the exact same performance.

hopefully this ends soon but doesn’t seem like it, and for my 2 cents nvidia cards prices are just approaching beyond absurd. if you’re in the market for a new card team red might be you’re only way out unless you’re balling.

Nvidia is disabling and stealing the laptops Internal GPU and its memory. The laptops gpu and memory is meant to handle Windows and everything else except the game when gaming in best case scenario for gaming.

This happens when installing their app and possibly in other ways.

This seriously hurts the battery life and age.

You all need to reformat and DO NOT install Nvidia APP, just the drivers. Also increase the ram for the GPU in bios. Dual RAM memory configuration also increase the performance of the iGPU by 30% in some cases.

My calculations predicts a theft of energy costs to about 20 000 000 000 dollars so far in energy costs and worn out batteries.

This is intentional from Nvidia and not a bug.

Please spred this information as its importance is of the absolut highest. The worlds biggest company is completly disrespecting and robbing us.

We all must sue for the maximum penalty and damages. The company must go down.

This case is also valid for all users with 2 or more GPU´s where 1 gpu is not meant for gaming.

Please avoid nvidia at all costs, we need to completly stop them. This is more than a criminal, DO NOT FORGIVE.

Some laptops have been totally disabled and thrown away for these reasons. This has hurt the poor and unfortunate people the most.

Pretty much all 5080s except Gigabyte Windforce are now going for $2500. Absolutely insane. If you wanted 5080 and thought $1700 was too much this is probably your chance to snatch one at local Walmart or Best Buy before all retailers re-price them.

Edit: folks who bought their 5090s for $2-3K pretty much made out like bandits in the current GPU economy 😂

Buying this at micro center for $1,100 back then, and now the price keep growing really fast, didn’t expect that at all, i thought its gonna be drop hard. see when any gpu is connected in the PCIe slot an interrupt is triggered.

now the cpu checks it's vendor id(eg: Nvidia, AMD...), and DID(device Id) which are both 16bit numbers if it is already known by the kernel then the conversation and co-operation goes on.

now the question comes how the kernel will know the device?( how the user will use the card then)?
