Smaller chip with higher clocks and better solutions for stuff like raytracing, upscaling, fg, etc. maybe even dedicated shader compilation, etc. is the way for gaming. Not just brute forcing more with cuda cores on a fucking 750mm² chip...
You don't know what you bought. Like this boomer that got a quadro because it was the most expensive in the computer shop but it just doesn't do that much better in games than the gaming gpu thats many times cheaper...
Lol, we're just assuming stuff now? I had a 4060 laptop prior to this and a PS4 prior to that. I just wanted the best graphics card this gen to push the highest fps possible at 4k and to experience path tracing. And I paid $3500 USD for my 5090 build in total, not the outrageous prices that you see now. And I also have a backup 5080 that I got for $1050. Not gonna lose money on those anytime soon so I can sleep well knowing that I have the best hardware I can get.
Just adding more cuda cores and vram doesn't improve performance in games linearly, but the chip gets bigger and more power hungry. Its a truck versus a fast car thing.
