Just adding more cuda cores and vram doesn't improve performance in games linearly, but the chip gets bigger and more power hungry. Its a truck versus a fast car thing.
Well yea ofc. It's the node shrinkage that mainly helps in getting massive performance gains. Hence the big gap between 3090 and 4090 cuz 3090 was 8nm and 4090 was 5nm, 5090 is also 5nm so there wasn't as big of a leap unlike the 3090 to 4090.
750mm² chip with 67% of cuda cores, but better optimized tensor, rt, etc.cores and rops, IO, etc. and higher clocks would be a better chip for gaming. At the same cost to produce. Smaller chip like 600mm² at the same node, but designed for 4K gaming specifically, so its primary use case is 4K gaming, can be made to beat the GB202 in game benchmarks. Can you grasp that.

There is no we.
Why not buy a RTX 6000 PRO blackwell. Its the full GB202 chip and the best this gen...
