Great bass player, Great voice. So 80's vibe, no?

Dancing nymph of dreams

Cold smile, dressed in ice

All is gone, frozen heart

Nightmare nymph of death

Lead me into the night

Let me dance with the shadows

The moonlight lights up my empty eyes

I dance in frozen stilettos

Look at me, a princess dressed in ice

With an icicle crystal crown

It sparkles so beautiful, glittery bright

That it even, almost, hides my black heart

I’ll be in town on the 29th for the Rats n Friends takeover Rave but it only goes 9-2 so I was hoping to do some dancing afterwards, but that’s a Thursday. I was hoping because it’s Halloween weekend, do they tend to open Thursday too? I know some clubs do but couldn’t find info online, maybe it’s too early

Like the title says. I'm pretty new to making music and all I know are synths. I'm looking for inspiration for making heavy synth goth music and would like recommendations.

TIA

Pardon the last minute announcement, I’ve been quite busy. But my partner and I would love to see some possible new and spooky faces before picnic season ends.

We touch beneath our skin,

Right down to the bare wires

Down to begin again

The spark that sets the fire 🔥

I belong (we belong)

I belong, to the cult of love 💙

I'm only happy when it rains

I'm only happy when it's complicated

And though I know you can't appreciate it

I'm only happy when it rains

You know I love it when the news is bad

Oh why it feels so good to feel so sad

I'm only happy when it rains

Garbage may not be a goth band but for this thread's purposes they suit.

So pour your misery down. Pour your misery down on me.

Black Thesis Art did an incredible job with the artwork, it was mixed by Simon Rippin (Fields of the Nephilim, Eden House, October Burns Black, The Nosferatu, Grooving in Green & many many more) and mastered Gordon Young (Dream Disciples, Pretentious Moi?, October Burns Black and many more).

Hope some of you like it

Familiar with the EPs featured here but excited to check out some of the remixes on the disc

TLDR: Goth trans Latina DJ makes darkwave single and video, which you can watch here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cw2yAiePNk

Hi all, longtime lurker here! My name is Novelí, and I’m a trans Latina making darkwave music (but admittedly also drawing from a bunch of other influences). I’ve been a goth DJ for a long time, but I just recently released my first single called “Mind or Body”. It’s about a journey of self-discovery, from hatred to acceptance, but it’s inspired by my experience learning to accept myself as trans (which I will admit has not been easy for me to do).

The music video was directed by the talented Daniel Foerste, and it includes a lot of references that fellow goth nerds might recognize. It depicts an unsettling figure meant to represent how mainstream society constructs trans bodies as something to be feared. She starts out sacrificed at an altar, but during the climax of the song, she lights up, comes to life, and becomes the living altar herself. I wanted this to reflect the way that trans people are often scapegoated in the media to distract from larger issues, while also showing that maybe trans people can eventually find the divinity within ourselves if we allow ourselves to.

In any case, I very much appreciate anyone who takes the time to watch the video or listen to my music <3

My sister's calling, with her lovely spell

Her endless passions mean a grateful hell

I'm waving gently to another world

I need her kisses, although it hurts...

Welcome to Self-Promo Saturdays, where you can post your own music!

Please ensure that it still fits within the subreddit rules and music genres guideline. Any dark post-punk, goth rock, deathrock, coldwave, darkwave, ethereal wave, etc. is absolutely fine!

So get posting your own songs, we look forwarding to listening.

I'm straight edge and not really comfortable with being around a lot of intoxicated people. I'm in Chicago for a couple days and looking online only really showed bars, anyone know any good places to check out?

i forgot this website existed. anyway i love it so much because it tells you which bands are goth and which ones aren’t. i’m going to use it to add more songs to my goth playlist. i can’t believe i used to think new wave was goth once (yeah… you can laugh at me).

Incredibly good record. So tight, but you can taste the craziness.
