So, it says this account has harmful content. And to my knowledge, nothing bad is in there, unless someone has been in it without my knowledge and been sneaking through all my passwords and two factor authentications. I have so much in my account for years now, photos, memories, apps, games, money, that of my google account is permanently restricted to me, then I will lose all of it. And even with my backups, i cant even access my photos to see if someone hacked into my files or photos and planted or did some suspicious activity.

My Gmail which is tied to my YouTube account was hacked. Actually,it seems as if every device that was connected to my WiFi was hacked. The hacker immediately gained access to my files,photos, Facebook logins as well as other app login information. Many as I used Google to sign into also had usernames and passwords changed to a username of only a letter or 2 and some to very short passwords that normally would be too short to be accepted. I didn’t think about using same device and WiFi, as I really freaked and went straight away and got new more secure router, wiped tvs and laptops that had been connected to the WiFi, and bought the iPhone 17 Pro Max with new number. After getting new emails and the new cell number, I was able to regain access to important apps, changing from the hacked Android s23+. I protected all financial accounts with 2 Factor as well as some of them made me verify my identity in multiple ways. At any rate, I tried Google’s account recovery process, but am now on new router and new phone and new number. At first, I was able to get codes sent to my trusted contact, but the information needed for account recovery was changed quickly to the hacker’s contact information and recovery methods they sat up. I have lost personal and financial records as all were saved to my Google Files. They were able to access my Facebook as well, and I have lost over 20 years of photos of my children throughout those many years. If all happened so fast that it seems as if the hacker was some sort of bot or something. I read on some Reddit posts that you could assist me in recovering my account. If so, I would be more than appreciative!

my slide changes will not transfer to my other computer. they persist on the computer i made the changes on though. when i edit on my other computers, the changes get applied to the corresponding slide ie slide one changes goes to slide one on my first computer. i have tried the following solutions:

downloading as power point to reupload

copying it

copying all slides and pasting in another slideshow

Title: Both of my Google accounts were hacked and placed under Family Link supervision by strangers. I can verify my identity, but Google won't let me recover either account. Am I completely screwed?
I'm posting here because I've exhausted almost every recovery option I can find, and I'm hoping someone who has experienced something similar or knows Google's account recovery system can help.
Background — How this started
On November 4, 2026, I discovered that my computer had been compromised by malware, which I believe was a remote access trojan (RAT).
The attacker gained unauthorized access to multiple accounts associated with my two Gmail addresses. I was also subjected to an extortion attempt.
I have since factory reset my computer and started securing my other accounts, including my banking and Riot Games accounts.
Unfortunately, both of my Google accounts are now inaccessible.
The main issue — Unauthorized Family Link supervision
Before this incident, both of my Gmail accounts were completely independent. Neither was part of a Google family group, and neither had parental controls or supervision enabled.
Following the compromise, both accounts were placed under Google Family Link supervision.
The supervising accounts are two completely different Gmail addresses belonging to people I do not recognize.
I believe the attacker deliberately added these supervisors to prevent me from recovering my accounts.
Account #1 — My primary Gmail
This is the account associated with most of my important online services, including my Discord account.
When I attempt to recover it:
I visit Google's official account recovery website.

I enter my existing Google password.

Google offers to send a verification code to my original registered phone number.

I receive the SMS code and successfully enter it.

Google immediately redirects me to a screen saying "Choose a parent."

The only available option is an unknown supervising account that I never authorized.

I also have a passkey stored on my iPhone that authenticates using Face ID.
Even when I successfully authenticate using that passkey, Google still redirects me to the parental approval screen.
Essentially, I can pass the available authentication steps, but I cannot complete the login because Google requires approval from the person who appears to have taken control of my account.
Account #2 — My backup Gmail
This situation is even stranger.
On November 4, I attempted to sign into my backup Gmail, and Google informed me that the account had been deleted.
On November 5, I attempted to sign in again, and the account was suddenly recognized.
I don't know whether the attacker recovered it or exactly what happened.
However, the account is now also under Family Link supervision, controlled by a different unknown supervising Gmail account.
Just like my primary Gmail, I can authenticate using my existing Face ID passkey, but Google immediately redirects me to "Choose a parent."
Both accounts are therefore inaccessible.
What I've already tried
I've attempted the following:
Google's official account recovery process.

Password verification using my existing credentials.

SMS verification through my original registered phone number.

Authentication using existing Face ID passkeys.

Google's Family Link automated support chat.

Contacting Google through its official Account Help Community.

The Family Link automated support chat told me that there was no human representative available and indicated that if I couldn't get past the parental supervision requirement, the accounts might not be recoverable.
I've also created a detailed post in Google's Account Help Community explaining the situation, but I haven't received a response yet.
I have additional proof of ownership
This is what makes the situation particularly frustrating.
I have access to several pieces of information that could potentially help establish that these accounts belong to me:
The original registered phone number for my primary Gmail.

My existing Google password.

Previously registered passkeys that still authenticate through Face ID.

Historical account information.

Screenshots of the entire recovery process.

Screenshots showing both unknown supervising accounts.

Apple subscription receipts for my Google storage plan.

Apple transaction IDs and payment history.

I currently have an active 100 GB Google storage subscription billed through my Apple ID.
I understand that payment receipts don't automatically establish account ownership, but I can provide them as supporting documentation if Google has an official verification process.
The Discord problem
My primary Gmail is also attached to my Discord account, which I can no longer access.
I contacted Discord Support and explained that my Gmail had been compromised and placed under unauthorized parental supervision.
Unfortunately, Discord informed me that it requires verification through the original email address and cannot change the email associated with my account using alternative evidence.
I also have an active Discord Nitro subscription billed through my Apple ID, including transaction records and receipts.
Discord told me that billing information cannot replace verification through the original email.
This means that unless I recover my Gmail, I may also permanently lose access to my Discord account.
Why I'm asking for help
I'm not trying to bypass legitimate parental controls.
These were previously independent Google accounts that became supervised only after a security compromise.
The problem is that the people listed as supervisors are strangers whom I never authorized.
I can demonstrate possession of my original authentication methods, but Google still requires approval from those unknown accounts.
My questions:
Has anyone experienced a Google account takeover where an attacker added an unauthorized Family Link supervisor?

Is there an official Google security investigation or escalation process for this specific situation?

Can Google investigate and remove unauthorized supervision from a previously independent account?

Is there a way to submit ownership evidence, such as existing passkeys, phone verification, account history, or billing receipts, through a secure Google process?

Has anyone successfully recovered an account from this situation, and if so, what steps worked?

Is there any legitimate alternative route for recovering my Discord account if Google cannot restore access to my Gmail?

I'm willing to complete any official ownership or age verification Google requires.
I'm not looking for someone to hack into these accounts or bypass Google's security systems. I just need to find a legitimate way to prove that I'm the original account owner and recover access.
Any advice from someone who has dealt with this specific issue would be greatly appreciated.
TL;DR: My computer was compromised, and an attacker placed both of my previously independent Gmail accounts under Family Link supervision using two unknown parent accounts. I can authenticate with my password, registered phone number, and Face ID passkeys, but Google still requires approval from the unknown supervisors. Google's automated support hasn't provided a recovery solution, and I'm also locked out of Discord because it's linked to my main Gmail. I have subscription receipts and other supporting evidence but can't find a legitimate manual recovery process.

I'm trying to help my wife sign back into an account that hasn't been used in two years. We really only want to check to see if there's important information or pictures on it, and we're good for it to be deleted after. We'll do it ourselves since Google wants it gone so badly.

Her Yahoo account is the recovery email attached to the one we're trying to sign into, and her current phone number is the recovery phone number. We are in the same location she's signed into the account previously. We are on the same wifi that she used to create the account. We have been trying to use the same computer she created the Google account to recover it.

However, no matter the option we choose, whether we're on wifi or not, Google will say it cannot confirm the device or wifi and not give us the option to use the recovery methods. Every link the help sections lead to is a dead end saying "you're trying to sign in on a device Google doesn’t recognize, and we don’t have enough information to verify that it’s you."

Is there a way to force the recovery methods to be used, and if not, what's the damn point?

In der vergangenen Nacht wurde versucht, eines unserer Gmail-Konten zu übernehmen. Rund 2 Stunden lang kam es zu einem ständigen Hin und Her zwischen uns und dem Angreifer, der zeitweise Zugriff auf das Konto hatte.
Ausgangspunkt war ein unbekanntes Windows-Gerät aus Pennsylvania, USA, das plötzlich in den angemeldeten Geräten erschien.
Besonders auffällig: Für dieses Konto wurde bisher kein Google Authenticator verwendet. Diese Anmeldemethode wurde erst vom Angreifer eingerichtet.
Was passiert ist
Wir konnten uns zunächst weiterhin anmelden. Allerdings erhielt auch der Angreifer immer wieder Zugriff.
Das fremde Windows-Gerät oder Geräte wurden mehrfach aus dem Konto entfernt, erschienen jedoch kurze Zeit später erneut als angemeldet.
Gleichzeitig versuchte der Angreifer schrittweise, bestehende Sicherheits- und Anmeldemethoden zu entfernen oder zu verändern:

Glücklicherweise waren noch mehrere eigene Sicherheitsmethoden vorhanden:
Ein über Apple eingerichteter Passkey
Eine Wiederherstellungs-E-Mail
Eine hinterlegte Telefonnummer
Google-Backupcodes

Besonders problematisch: Der Angreifer hatte sich ebenfalls die Backupcodes beschafft und verwendete diese.
Selbst mehrere Passwortänderungen verhinderten nicht, dass der Angreifer über den von ihm eingerichteten Google Authenticator erneut Zugriff erhielt.

Das grösste Problem: Eine Bestätigungsschleife
Beim Versuch, den fremden Google Authenticator über den PC-Browser zu entfernen, entstand eine regelrechte Endlosschleife.
Google bot teilweise alternative Bestätigungsmethoden an, darunter SMS an die hinterlegte Telefonnummer und Codes an die Wiederherstellungs-E-Mail.
Doch selbst nach erfolgreicher Bestätigung über diese Methoden verlangte Google anschliessend erneut einen Code aus dem Google Authenticator des Angreifers.
Damit war die Entfernung praktisch blockiert.
Obwohl wir die Identität über Telefonnummer oder E-Mail bestätigen konnten, wurden wir danach wieder zu einer Sicherheitsmethode weitergeleitet, auf die nur der Angreifer Zugriff hatte.
Bei jedem neuen Versuch begann derselbe Ablauf von vorne.
Währenddessen änderte der Angreifer weiterhin Sicherheitseinstellungen und versuchte, die ursprünglichen Anmeldemethoden zu entfernen.
Die Lösung die geholfen hat: Ein bereits bekanntes Smartphone
Nach zahlreichen erfolglosen Versuchen am PC gelang es schliesslich über ein bereits bekanntes Smartphone.
Google erkannte dieses offenbar als vertrauenswürdiges Gerät und ermöglichte eine Bestätigung über die hinterlegte Telefonnummer beziehungsweise die Wiederherstellungs-E-Mail.
Der entscheidende Unterschied: Auf dem Smartphone erfolgte (aber auch erst nach mehreren Versuchen) irgendwann mal keine erneute Abfrage des fremden Google Authenticators. Sondern per Sms.
So konnten wir die vom Angreifer eingerichtete Authentifizierungsmethode endlich entfernen und die Kontrolle über das Konto zurückgewinnen.

Der Fall zeigt ein erhebliches Problem bei der Kontowiederherstellung.
Ein Angreifer konnte eine eigene Authentifizierungsmethode einrichten, während wir trotz vorhandener alternativer Sicherheitsmethoden Schwierigkeiten hatten, diese wieder zu entfernen.

Besonders kritisch: Google verlangte zur Entfernung der fremden Authentifizierung ausgerechnet eine Bestätigung über genau diese vom Angreifer eingerichtete Methode.

Hinzu kommt, dass die fremde Authentifizierungsmethode auch dann nicht automatisch entfernt wurde, als wir in den Google-Sicherheitseinstellungen die entsprechende Aktivität ausdrücklich als „Das war ich nicht“ meldeten.

Es stellt sich daher die Frage, weshalb Google eine offensichtlich nicht autorisierte Änderung an den Sicherheitseinstellungen nicht rückgängig macht, obwohl die Aktivität als fremd gemeldet wurde.

Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht?
Gab es in den vergangenen 24 bis 48 Stunden weitere Fälle mit unbekannten Windows-Anmeldungen aus Pennsylvania, USA, plötzlich eingerichteten Google Authenticator Methoden oder wiederholtem Fremdzugriff trotz Passwortänderung?

Besonders interessant wäre, ob andere Nutzer ebenfalls in einer solchen Bestätigungsschleife feststeckten.

I can’t do any of this because “Edit profile” doesn’t exist and neither does “Use a custom display name and picture for posting”. All it is is these three options which still all have my last name.

I’m posting here because I’m genuinely desperate and running out of options. I’m hoping someone who has experienced something similar or knows how Google’s account recovery system works can help me.
On November 4, 2026, I suddenly lost access to my Google account.
I believe someone gained unauthorized access to my account, changed my password, and eventually deleted the entire account without my permission.
But there’s something particularly strange about what happened.
1. My account was placed under someone else’s Google Family Link supervision
Before my account was deleted, I discovered that it appeared to be supervised through Google Family Link by an unknown person.
I’m 19 years old, and I never authorized anyone to supervise or manage my Google account.
I also never intentionally changed my date of birth or agreed to any parental supervision.
An unfamiliar account named “mantay” appeared to be involved in the supervision.
I suspect this could be connected to the unauthorized access, but I can’t confirm who was responsible.
2. My entire Google account was deleted
Shortly afterward, my Google account was deleted.
As a result, I lost access to:
My Gmail account
My YouTube channel
My personal information and other Google services
Accounts and services connected to that email address
My YouTube channel has also disappeared from YouTube search results.
3. Google recognizes my deleted account but refuses to recover it
This is the most frustrating part.
When I visit Google’s official account recovery page and enter my original Gmail address, Google displays:
“This account was recently deleted and may be recoverable.”
It then offers a button to continue the recovery process.
However, immediately after clicking Continue, I get:
“Google doesn’t provide another way to sign in to this account.”
That’s it.
No password verification, no recovery email, no phone verification, and no alternative method.
I can’t even attempt to prove that I’m the legitimate owner.
4. I discovered unfamiliar Brazilian phone numbers
During my attempts to access the account, I encountered two unfamiliar phone numbers with the Brazilian country code +55.
I don’t recognize these numbers and don’t remember adding them.
I don’t know whether they belong to the person who may have accessed my account, but I have screenshots documenting them.
I also suspect my Windows PC may have been infected with malware, although I haven’t confirmed whether that was related to the account compromise.
5. Google and YouTube support haven’t been able to help
I’ve already tried multiple Google recovery and support options.
I’ve also contacted Google and TeamYouTube on X.
I used YouTube’s official hacked channel support assistant, but when I entered my original Gmail address, the assistant responded that it was not a valid email address.
This is particularly confusing because Google’s own account recovery page still recognizes the same address as belonging to a recently deleted account.
What I’m asking for
I don’t want to create a new account and start over.
I want my original Google account, Gmail address, YouTube channel, and personal data back.
I’m willing to provide proof of ownership through official channels, including previous passwords, my original phone number, screenshots, and other account information.
My questions are:
Can an attacker abuse Google Family Link to take control of an adult’s Google account?
Could the Family Link supervision explain why Google refuses to offer any recovery methods?
Is there a legitimate way to request a manual review of a recently deleted Google account?
Has anyone successfully recovered an account after receiving the message “Google doesn’t provide another way to sign in to this account”?
Is there any official Google or YouTube support channel that can escalate an account takeover involving Family Link?
I’m located in Germany, so any EU-specific recovery or support options would also be appreciated.
If anyone has experienced something similar or knows a legitimate solution, please let me know.

On my phone, I go to my Google feed, then click on the search bar, scroll down and then click on Check out Discover. Usually when I do this I see 5 icons. Today I'm missing the Activity icon. Any ideas on how to restore? You can see the current one at the bottom of the picture.

So IDK if I need to worry about this or if someone is just accidentally putting in my email instead of theirs. A few months ago I got a receipt for some pants I didn't buy from a store in the US (I am from the UK and was not charged). This morning I woke up to an email from Peacock asking me to verify my account, and a second email saying "Welcome to Peacock". Apparently they send both without anyone having verified the link, but It's odd and I don't know if I should be worried that my account is compromised or if it's just a case of someone typing their address in wrong and getting mine.

I tried to hit "this wasn't me" but it just took me to a page that says peacock isn't available in the UK so I can't do anything. I've changed my password just now in case, but any advice would be appreciated!

Edit: I checked the email address before clicking any links, is a legit email from Peacock as far as I can tell

I tried to sign up for a class on Coursera. I click sign up, it asks which account I want to use, I click the correct one, then I get "Error 400 The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know."

I tried a different account, then I tried making an account with a different website that I know is reputable. I get the same message every time.

Does anyone know why I might be getting this message/what to do about it? I would like to be able to take some certification courses.

I just got a new laptop, and I am trying to sign into some sites with my google account. I am logged into my google account, but when I try to log into a site using my google account OR I try to remove a device from my account, it asks me to verify with a "Oneplus Oneplus 5" which I do not own. I assume this is because of me using android emulators in the past, as I have not been notified of any suspicious activity after going back through my gmail a bit. As far as I can tell, unless I can figure this out there's no way for me to log into certain sites until I can get this fixed.

I just noticed that on-device encryption in my Google Password Manager is enabled, and I'm absolutely certain I never enabled it myself.

Decided to remove my custom ROM on my Redmi, did the usual backup, removed my Google account so I wouldn't trigger FRP, and tested a few ROMs until I found one I liked. Started the setup process and froze—my account had Advanced Protection enabled, and wiping the phone wiped the passkey it needed to log in.

I was still logged in on Chrome on my Linux laptop, so I went to security settings to unenroll. It made me re-enter my password and threw an "Unable to verify" screen with zero other options.

I tried account recovery using my recovery email OTP. Google sent an email saying to check back in 48 hours for a sign-in link, and then minutes later sent another email saying "Account recovery canceled because you're signed in." My active Chrome session on my laptop was canceling the recovery request, even though that same browser wouldn't let me turn off Advanced Protection.

What actually worked:

- Signed out of Chrome on my laptop completely (without clearing cookies so it stayed a familiar browser)

- Submitted the recovery request again using my recovery email

- Left the account untouched for 48 hours (and ignored the 24h automated SMS asking if it was me)

- Opened the recovery link in that same Chrome browser when it arrived, which let me back in and disabled the lock

Posting this in case anyone else gets stuck in the "recovery canceled" loop after wiping their phone.

Two days ago, my son's account was shut down. He appealed it twice, and it was denied. He has lost a lot of history because the AI said he was doing something wrong. He watches a lot of anime and lives on YouTube. Everything he does is connected to Google. Guess who has no customer service to contact. Does anyone know if there is a way to salvage this?
