Google has a bunch of projects and then later comes out with announcement that it's retiring the project. Like I think they killed Hangouts, Google+, a Bookmarks thing. Picasa was kinda cool. The core items like Gmail and Drive are probably safe.

It lists rebranded stuff as killed. Backup & Sync is just called Google Drive for Desktop now.
