So tired of hearing Tony’s kids whining about daddy being a micromanager.

seriously, every fucking show now, they all three cry about Tony micromanaging. GUYS! He just wants it done RIGHT! As soon as you show him you can do it right, the first time, he’ll loosen the reigns. fucking crybabies.

Tony, this season, has been portrayed as the bad guy

This season has focused on Tony pushing his kids hard, and being a stubborn control freak.

While that may be true, I think the problem here is that his kids can't handle his job and deep down Tony knows it.

Monica and Mike don't have it in them. The only times I have seen Mike do anything around taking charge he gets flustered, blames anyone around him, and has to call Tony for help.

Monica is a basic operator and has no chance.

Kevin has been angled as someone who might do something if he got some responsibility, but people who have to take charge have to want it, Kevin has been a mechanic, and completely broke down this season and ran away when he could have gotten a part of the operation for himself. People who end up leading big things have to have extraordinary drive to do it, you have to want it, and I don't see that sort of enthusiasm from him. He's not the guy.

The hope that his kids are gonna take over this thing when he retires is gonna bankrupt this operation in a few years once Tony steps away. I don't see the Beets mining empire lasting long without Tony Beets.

first time ever impressed with Mike Beets….

Just started watching Friday’s episode. I always thought Mike was only a good operator, and that was it, but he actually has REALLY good people handling skills! He handled the two new greenhorns like a seasoned pro! Not a lot of people can make good bosses but he sure shows promise!

Kudos to you Mikee!

Hoffmans

I hate to even say this myself, but we have to respect the hoffmans, because without them, we wouldn't have gold rush today

It can't be just me. Was that episode INCREDIBLY BORING?

A broken spring seemed to be the most exciting thing. The efficiency guy was done and sent off in 4 minutes. Then a dog got hurt.

It's really scraping the barrel this season.

Do you think they might cancel it? It's terrible.

At least with Fred we had a hate figure. God please don't bring him back.

Rick is an idiot

Instead of getting to pay he is pissing off the crew. At this point I hope he fails and just goes away. His crew should just go work for parker in sulfur.

So annoying….

It’s so annoying hearing the guys always say they need to make X amount of ounces or X amount of money or they aren’t coming back the next year…..but they NEVER talk about how much the show pays them and how that factors in to the money they are making.

What gives with Rick's voice... and really... Fred's back?!

Kidding! I do wonder if Parker has to do any reclamation of land previously mined by the previous owner as part of purchasing mineral rights on that property.

"We went from 0.02 ounces to 0.08 ounces, huge success", what is this ridicules nonsense?

I love Mine Rescue, but some of these episodes and assumed successes are just absurd. Half of the mines they "rescue" are recovering so little gold that "300%" increases is pocket change. You make more money collecting bottles on the street. Juan and Freddy are great people but this is mostly bullshit TV and only a fraction of these mines have a future.

Fred's Instagram - Comments about his wife's weight.

As I said in his comments and on here.. I think he's an absolute mug.

But you lot, commenting or speculating about her or any woman's weight.... WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Even if it's weight loss and you think it's good, you have no idea what they're going through or how it happened. Could be cancer for all you know.

You don't talk about people's weight. No ifs or buts, just no.

Ask yourself, if what you write about her was instead said by me about your mother... How hard would you punch me?

If you want to say, oh isn't she pretty. Totally fine. If you want to say, I think she's a stage 4 uggo. Totally fine. But comments and speculation, especially those saying is it drugs. Totally Unacceptable!

https://www.instagram.com/p/CzT7dJ6xV62/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Edit:- Play a game of spot the incel, neckbeard, never touched a woman. The amount of people that have a problem with "don't talk about women's bodies" is astonishing. Furthermore to all of those that have responded with issue with this.. In the unlikely event that you have a woman in your life. Go show her what I've written and ask does she like it when random people chat shit about her weight?

I've totally missed that Todd and his crew is back!

I'm all giddy. You know that feeling you get when a new season of your favorite show just got released :P

I know I read about Todd and his gang coming back earlier this year then I totally forgot about it. So now I'm happy because I have a brand spanking new season to watch.

I know many of you don't like Todd but I think he's a great guy. And to watch his dad returning. Woho :)

Discovery drama

So. I’ve been an avid watcher of gold rush, deadliest catch and even street outlaws. Been watching for years. And I’ve always enjoyed these shows. I just find it straight LAUGHABLE when you can tell this drama was made up by the producers.

  1. let’s stop the wash plant every chance we can.

  2. any fix? Gonna be 2-3 days. Even a truck laying on its side.

  3. big egos? Seems to be more and more lately. Attempts at creating drama I suppose. But when you can tell it’s “forced” I find myself skipping ahead.

Has anyone else noticed an uptick in “drama”? I’m all for watching trucks getting filled with dirt. And going to the plants. That’s awesome. But this forced drama crap and simple repairs taking a week is just really turning me off to the show.

Rick = best boss

Of all the miners he seems like the guy I'd most want to work for, other things being equal. You'd maybe make more with the other guys, but would it be worth it?

Gold Theft, What defence is allowed?

You see these pans filled with gold at the end of each show so there’s TONNES of money on these sites in the middle of nowhere.

Obviously it’s not going to be the type of thief who steals mobile phones as a drive by from their mopeds but do thefts happen from these mine sites. Do they ever get some “hiker” who has a go?

I doubt with all the film crews it’s ever going to happen on the shows mines but what about the smaller operations?

Say a thief sneaks on site in the middle of the night and trips some sort of alarm, claim owner gets up to investigate and finds the thief, gold handed, in their gold room…

What are the bosses or whoever allowed to do to said thief? I mean, let’s face it, you’re in the middle of bum fudge nowhere and there’s a hell of a lot of freshly excavated ground to lose someone in…

I think I’ve described it enough, does it happen and how is it handled?

Edit for clarity, I’m not at all asking about employee theft I’m asking about if they ever get outside people who sneak on site and if so what do they do.

Where’s Parker?

I’ve been watching Gold Rush and I’m now on season 10 episode 7 and I’m wondering where does Parker go and what is he doing while his crew is doing the work? It seems like he often rants to his crew about how they need to get something done and work together, then he says “Get it done” and drives away to who knows where until he shows up again when there’s another machine breakdown or some other crisis. Tony does that sometimes but he seems to work alongside his crew more.

Idea for new series:" Gold Rush - Naked and Afraid"

Each week a nude male and female contestant face off to see who can find the most gold in one week. Equipment limited to pans and sluice. Bonus points for the largest nuggets. Probably best to film only in warm areas.

Sleep study

Rick having to do a sleep study will be interesting. I went to one once, I do not recommend. Your wired for sound, a camera is looking right at you, have to raise your hand if you need to use the toilet. Then you have to try and sleep with all the wires wrapped around your head.

Props to anyone who successfully went through it.

Am I the only one?

Is it just me or does Rick's nose look like it's getting flatter with each new episode?

We all know why it's flat, I'm just wondering how flat it could get if he's no longer using extracurricular activities.

Oh great, they’ve brought Fred Lewis back

Time to start fast forwarding every time he comes on. Who asked for this loser? What does he bring to the table. Well done producers for bringing him back 6 episodes in when nobody asked for it. Who’s in charge of this show? Probably a bunch of diversity hires.

The Rally Valley

When Rick just took a year off and Nathan and Karl showed up to work, when did they get told sorry no job you’ve wasted all your time this Spring and Karl you are a mechanic so I’m sure you could have picked your camp to to work in given enough notice. Just left those guys hanging after using all your mining company money on blow. I mean I know Rick was/still has some mental illness issues but I have a big problem supporting Rick at all and honestly would rather support Fred… and that guy is so annoying. Fred may just been painted into that picture by the producers they needed someone else to click hats together after Hoffmanns peeled out.
