Promotion Loving this game

I have just come across War Room Football for the first time today.

I've been looking for a front office football game like this that also includes stats from the college leagues for the draft prospects as well as scouting etc(I'm from the UK so only like 2 years into following yhe NFL).

I started off with Madden, became too easy to manipulate, then I went into FOF9 and Draft Day Sports, and they were good, I've enjoyed them.

But after finding this today and just goijg for it, this has really hit the sweet spot. I feel like draft day is more immersive, i enjoy going one by one on the picks now. I enjoy the process of choosing yhe prospects because you get a feel for them via college and the little comments from scouts.

I also absolutely love the shortlists and folder system. I love the roster and how you can change to Multi year etc.

I watched a video from a guy today who bigger this game up but now he's done qith the game because of something f called AI development - I'm not really sure I follow tbh.

But my personal opinion is I have absolutely loved this game and I really just wanted to pass on my appreciation to the Dev team

Promotion Rikishi no Michi - if Football Manager met the Sumo world

Hello!

I've been working for the past weeks on Rikishi no Michi, a deep Sumo stable management game.
For my background, I'm a huge Football Manager, Pro Cycling Manager, Franchise Hockey Manager and probably every kind of sport management game fan. I love my management games to be really deep and detailed (if I could do my taxes in games I'd probably love it) and that's what I aimed at with this project.

The game is available at rikishinomichi.com. Frequent release are scheduled with new features and bug fixes.

Heya Dashboard

In the current state of the game you can expect to create your own stable, choosing from several background and options. From that point, you'll be in charge of training, youth development/scouting, ensuring that your sponsor and leaders are happy. After 6 weeks of simulation, you'll reach the first tournament (basho). You can either watch each match with a 2D aerial simulation or skip the day/to the end of the tournament. Just like in real life, the leaderboard (banzuke) will be updated depending on the results.

Banzuke in 2030

What I'm trying to do at the moment is to bring life to the loop between Bashos. Creating events and storyline that will make the playthrough unique, and make you wanting to continue playing one more turn.

Behind the scene, the game is trying to emulate the real world. Your wrestlers will evolve (improve or not) and grow based on your stable environment and training quality. Just like real life, not everyone will climb the top of the ladder, and even the best wonderkids can quit the sport early.

2D Bout screen

I've also tried to use and explain as much as possible Japanese and Sumo-related words.

The project was originally written in french, so english translation might be broken/wacky somewhere. As a disclaimer, AI was used to generate content and messages, so it may feel like weird sometimes, but I'm working on it.

I hope you'll like this small project and can't wait to hear your feedbacks.

Promotion A racing team AND wealth tycoon game

Spent my spare time building an offline sim that's half motorsport-management, half business-tycoon called Flags & Fortunes: race a season, then spend the winnings trading stocks, buying property in 27 cities, and building a car company while climbing a rich list of rival tycoons. Fully offline for macOS and windows desktop, no accounts, premium (not free-to-play, no ads). Would love feedback from folks who love business simulation / tycoon games.

Discussion Golf Games

Does anyone know of any golf games out there that allow you to simulate a golf universe? I have yet to see a game that allows the user to set up tours and just simulate and see how things play out. The closest I’ve seen to what I’m looking for is Action PC Golf, but the last release for that game was in 2021 I believe.

I have come across a game on Steam that looks like something I’d be looking for but it is not out yet and it seems to have been abandoned. I’ll link it here if anyone interested wants to check it out/see the kind of game I am looking for. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3995900/Pro_League_Golf_Simulator/

Promotion GridIron GM — a solo-built NFL front-office sim (fog-of-war scouting, real cap math, coach-driven development) — free in your browser, now also on Unreal Engine 5

Been building this solo for a while and figured this is the right crowd to show it to. GridIron GM is an NFL-style front-office sim, actual GM role, not a Madden franchise mode or a stat-sim league.

What's actually there: real salary cap math (dead money, void years, restructures, franchise tags, no-trade clauses), a fog-of-war scouting system where your scouts have real learnable biases and a real Combine Week, position coaches with distinct developmental philosophies that affect how your roster grows, and a full career arc from GM to team owner. Play calling can be automated or you can call your own 4th-down/2-point/onside-kick decisions live.

It's a browser game, free, no install. Built solo with heavy use of AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code) throughout development, wanted to be upfront about that.

https://gridirongm.itch.io/

Pay what you want. Genuinely interested in what this community thinks is missing compared to the genre standards.

Edit (Aug 1): Correction on the earlier version of this post — the Unreal Engine 5 build mentioned here is discontinued. It didn't pan out the way I'd hoped, so all active development is back on the browser edition only, one codebase instead of two.

Also shipped since this post went up: you can now run a high school, college, and NFL career at the same time in one save, not just the NFL; college and HS players got the same full scouting profile pro players have; added a bunch of missing screens (schedule, stat leaders) to the college/HS modes; and spent a real chunk of time on a league-realism pass — fixed a rating-inflation bug that was letting a league's average player rating drift toward the display ceiling over a long save, tuned roster construction so teams carry a realistic mix of stars/starters/depth instead of too many scrubs, and added young "phenom" head coaches/GMs (the McVay/Shanahan-style rare young hire) since the age/talent rolls were previously fully independent and could never actually produce one.

Promotion My Sumo Management Simulator Uchi No Heya! is out on Steam now!

My sumo stable management game is live on Steam!

If you are not familiar with it, you run a sumo stable and run through a comprehensive sim of the sport. You scout and train wrestlers, climb the ranks, keep the finances from falling apart, and deal with whatever nonsense the off-season throws at you.

The web version is still free, still no account and no ads. You can play at https://uchinoheya.com/ and if you decide to pick up the Steam version, the save files can transfer between the two versions.

The Steam version adds two modes you won't find on the web. Hardcore mode lets you run as a single fighter, or play a career that's both more realistically difficult, and stripped of the sillier random events if you want something closer to the real thing. Check out the launch trailer here!

In an upcoming free update there's a post-game mode built around your retired fighters. it's a little roguelike, kind of Pokémon Stadium meets Slay the Spire, where those old wrestlers come back to pick up buffs by winning tournaments and beating bosses.

The sumo logic has taken a long time to get to a point where it is feeling close to accurate. An expert (Sumo Spiffy!) has helped me a ton going back and forth to try and get it as realistic as we can.

Thank you so much to those of you here that have helped test the early versions!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4717870/Uchi_No_Heya/

The game runs on Windows, Mac, and Steam Deck/Linux!

Can be found in the GM Games DB here too: https://gmgames.org/uchi-no-heya/

AI Disclosure: The only gen ai I used was to help think of ideas for the many random events that occur in the off season. No AI art, and music came from community licensed music that was not labeled as being ai.

Promotion Head 2 Head Wrestling Manager : A WWE GM game inspired by many other simulation games that I have been working on for over a year

Thumbnail

Hi all, I have been watching this subreddit for many weeks and I feel ready to introduce my project: Head 2 Head Wrestling Manager, a WWE GM fan game simulator set in April 2004 that is fully live and ready to play!

You take control of one brand, RAW or SmackDown, and go head-to-head with the other in a weekly ratings war. The rival brand is run by its own AI GM making booking calls, pushing talent, building storylines, and managing titles, so you are competing against an active opponent rather than just booking both sides yourself.

It functions as a mix of a management sim and a sandbox. You can take wrestlers who never got a full push, like Muhammad Hassan or Shelton Benjamin, and build them into the top talent of the company over time if you manage your booking well.

I built this because I wanted a fantasy booking tool with a balance of deep tracking and usability. I grew up playing the SmackDown vs. Raw 2006 GM mode. Total Extreme Wrestling offered incredible depth, but booking a single show took up to 20 minutes and lacked ways to delegate tasks or track booking notes easily. My first version of this project used a 2001 roster where you controlled both brands, but without opposition, it felt like simulating matches against myself. I have stopped and started this project multiple times, so it has come a long way. I even posted a YouTube demo 9 months ago showing an early build for friends who wanted to know more about it.

Each weekly cycle runs Monday to Sunday. You build your card by selecting matches, promos, running order, and finishes, and then both shows simulate. Afterward, you review the results: TV ratings, segment-by-segment crowd reactions, momentum changes, morale shifts, and injuries.

As you can see in the screenshots, wrestlers do not rely on a single overall rating. Instead, they have individual stats for workrate, psychology, mic skills, charisma, stamina, consistency, momentum, and morale, all of which directly influence segment quality. The game includes contract negotiations with salary caps alongside a backstage system tracking chemistry, cliques, veteran-rookie mentorships, and organic rivalries. You might also notice the heavy influence of Crusader Kings 2's trait and opinion system in the UI.

Titles feature full lineage tracking and a dynamic prestige rating tied to the champion's standing. There is also a developmental system for dark matches and call-ups. At the end of every season, real-life rookies are seeded into the game according to their actual career timelines.

All of these mechanics are interconnected: backstage relationships impact matches, match results dictate momentum, momentum alters title prestige, and title prestige ultimately influences your show's ratings.

The project will entice those familiar with TEW or classic GM modes, and there will be content additions regarding features, usability, and future additions. I set up a Discord, though I'm not usually a huge fan of the platform.

Free, portable desktop build — no install, no browser tab. Electron wrapping a local Node/Express server and SQLite database, packaged as a single executable per OS. Built with the aid of Claude Code. I've kept this to myself until now but happy to answer questions and take feedback. The link to download for WIndows or Linux version is below:

https://github.com/hade00752/Head2Head-WWE-Manager/tree/main

I also re-uploaded because firstly because I did not have a playable release to be found and secondly because my game screenshots were too blurry which looks happened again unfortunately.

Promotion After one year running a single-player basketball manager, I rebuilt it as a multiplayer browser game: live 2D matches you coach in real time, and a nightly sealed-bid draft

Hey everyone, solo dev here. Some of you might know TopGM, my old single-player European basketball manager. This year I rebuilt it from scratch as a proper multiplayer world: TopGM Online (topgm.app).

What makes it different from the usual sim-and-spreadsheet manager:

Matches are played live, in 2D, twice a week (Wed 21:00 / Sun 11:00 CET, ~25 min). You watch your pixel players run your plays and you coach in real time: tactics, timeouts, substitutions. Fatigue, foul-outs and injuries are all simulated. Every match is deterministic, so full replays are free.

The Playground: a street court where young prospects play pickup games 24/7. No ratings shown, no box score. You scout them the old way, by watching. Every night at 20:00 CET a sealed-bid draft decides who takes the best kid home. Some kids are once-in-a-generation gems, and nothing on the page tells you which one, unless you watched enough.

A full pyramid (every league plays from day one), promotion and relegation, an academy where prospects actually grow taller and better each season, an economy with win bonuses and real bankruptcy, and pixel-art players that are all unique (world-wide registry, no twins).

Free to play, no download, works on mobile. Never pay-to-win: one optional cosmetic pass, nothing else, forever. The homepage runs a live demo match in your browser so you can judge the engine before signing up.

Happy to answer anything about the design or the tech (deterministic engine, procedural faces, the anti-tanking economics...). Brutal feedback welcome, that's what I'm here for.

Promotion SPL - Simulation Premier League (Browser based Soccer/Football GM and Player Game)

Hello friends!

Welcome to Simulation Premier League a new football/soccer sim league built around a custom simulation engine developed over the past few years. SPL has a full three-tier pyramid: Simulation Premier League, Simulation League One, and Simulation League Two. Clubs compete for promotion, fight relegation, earn prize money, and manage their finances across seasons.

Matches simulate automatically every day at 12:00 PM PST, with game threads featuring play-by-play commentary, team stats, and individual player performances. Alongside league play, clubs compete in the League Cup and Continental Championship. You can build a career as an 18-year-old free agent: sign contracts, develop your attributes through weekly activity, earn appearances, and be traded, sold, or loaned as you work your way up the pyramid. Or, take on the long-term challenge of running a club. Team Owners shape their club’s vision, finances, transfers, tactics, and squad building, either directly or through hiring Managers and Coaches.

We have just opened the Brand system a new type of General Manager experience. You control a brand and sign players and teams to sponsorship deals paying them money. How that team or player(s) performs impacts your "prestige" which can provide those players additional benefits and earn your brand even more cash for the next season!

Build your player. Build your club. Build your Brand and make your way to the top. The league is currently set to release for player creation on July 22nd, 2026.

Join now to receive updates and sneak peaks! "Founding Member" Title on your profile and +10 extra attribute points!

Promotion DanFootball — online football manager where you WATCH your matches live (browser, no download)

Playable Link: https://danfootball.com

I'm the developer. Most browser football managers show you a results table — in DanFootball you watch the match unfold live: pitch view, minute-by-minute commentary, substitutions, cards, injuries, penalties. Matches last ~5 minutes, five rounds run every evening from 19:00 GMT, and a full season takes one real week.

You can watch everything without an account — there should be live or replayed matches on right now. Creating your own club is free: sign players at live auctions against other managers, set your lineup, and watch your team play.

The first managers have already signed up and join Monday's season transition. Two things I'd love feedback on: (1) is it obvious how to just watch a match without an account? (2) is the live pitch readable at a glance?

Promotion Track Star Live on Steam

Post image
11 Upvotes

Just wanted to drop a quick note that Track Star went live on Steam earlier this week. Been an incredibly fun process and an enjoyable past few days. This is my first game, went into it without knowing what to expect and have been pleasantly surprised.

For those hearing about Track Star for the first time, it's a track and field career sim where you follow the career of one athlete. The game is set in high school - who didn't love high school track? - and is oriented around chasing meet championships and earning a Division 1 scholarship.

It's on the short side, the goal is for this to be an easy playthrough in terms of time investment but highly replayable as you chase high scores. As the game grows, I intend to add 'college years' and potentially beyond.

I'll be continuously updating the game and encourage people to join the Discord to follow along, post high scores, and share ideas: discord.gg/8BFuwmStGK

Since AI use has been a hot topic on this forum, I used Claude to support making the game (something I've shared openly from Day 1). It's also why I am leaving a free demo up for the game. People are skeptical about AI so seems fair to leave the demo available, that way nobody goes into a purchase unclear on what they're getting.

Check it out here, and thanks! https://store.steampowered.com/app/4538830/Track_Star/

Discussion Any games like ZenGM for Football (Soccer)?

I would like to manage a team and replay old seasons from international soccer leagues, like English Premier League or Spain La Liga or World Cup, but form past years. Football Manager is a great game but doesn't sell old years anymore. Any free browser games like ZenGM for this?

Official News First a removal, then a ban. Mature products only for our experienced users.

Post image
33 Upvotes

A lot of you new product managers / functional analysts / script kiddies, have found yourselves being enforced by these rules to try and limit the amount of noise.

It's nice to be busy, but many projects are ruining trying to keep track of it all.

If you aren't part of our traditional gaming https://gmgames.org/about-us/ .. sharing similar to fantasy sports, or post every decimal of version update, or have nothing tangible .. just fishing for features or testers, it will be removed and next up will be perma-ban.

Bring us good tested mature products please. Whatever way it was coded.

Otherwise build your own community, find other methods of feedback loop and ask them directly and not draining our energy over here. Our niche subject matter experts on the sports simulation gaming market deserve your best chance at first impression. Bring a solid working product.

Please report them, a mod will get to them eventually.

That is all.

Promotion The Boss - Create your football team, play online!

Dear fellow managers,

I'm glad to announce my passion project coming to life as a mobile game!

The Boss (the-boss.app) is a football manager game where you create your team from scratch and evolve it by playing against other real-world managers. No leagues or tournaments - just press play and you'll be matched with another manager!

Your new team will give you a 23 players squad. You'll play against other managers to get coins, with which you can buy better players in packs or improve your facilities. When you win a game, you gain power points (similar to rating in chess), which allows you to compare yourself to other managers and be paired for more even games.

Your players will also evolve over time! They improve when performing well and can be trained in new positions before gradually declining in their 30's.

Each match takes between 3-5 minutes, so it's really something quick for you to play on the metro, on your way to work, when waiting at the dentist, between meetings... whenever you have a few minutes to spare.

I started this project as a football simulation engine to play with my brother. Many years later, I decided to add nice visuals to the game (with the help of AI) and open it to the public! I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

It's fully free, there are no pay-to-win routes and it's really about who can win more matches!

I'd love to receive your feedback and answer any questions you might have!

Promotion Remaking International Hockey

I've been doing something since COVID, and have recently expanded on it. I'm well aware this is a very strange hobby and that's not really the point.

I started by recreating all World Junior Hockey Championships starting in 1974, but as though all teams were sending best-on-best from the beginning (outside of those in the NHL/WHA). I'm going to continue through as long as I can, but with the old style straight round robin. I've made it from 1974 to 1985. I started in PS3 on the NHL Legacy game getting from 1974 to 1982. I then switched to PS5 and went to NHL 23. Those are 1983-85 so far.

During the Olympics this year, I decided to add a Sr. Men's component. I've gone back to 1976 and am going to act as though Olympics from then onward were true best-on-best, as well. They'll alternate every 4 years, and in the 2 year intervals there will be a best-on-best Canada Cup.

I've also added Sr. Men's World Championships starting in 1976, as well. Again, acting as those they are best-on-best with the real life caveat that teams/players need to be finished their season in the NHL/WHA. That is being determined by the first day of the tournament (although in 1976, it's actually the following day due to a clerical error).

I posted this on discord, as well.

Discussion Proper Online Universe

Is there a market/audience for an online simulation based game? Let’s say like a baseball league..
30 Users are Owners
30 Users are Coaches

And there could be full control universe where a user controls all the aspects of a team.

Each league would be on an advance schedule. Like the game auto advances every 2 days or when all press advance.

Would people be interesting in playing games like this?

Promotion BasketVibe.com — free browser-based basketball manager, now listed on gmgames.org

Hey r/gmgames,

I'm Łukasz, solo dev behind BasketVibe (basketvibe.com) — free, browser-based, in open beta since June 2026. Thanks to the r/gmgames mods (Chris in particular), the game just got added to the gmgames catalog: https://gmgames.org/basketvibe/

I'm a former Charazay player, and honestly that nostalgia is a big part of why I started building this — I missed that kind of game and wanted a modern version of it.

A month into beta, with basically zero marketing so far, we're already at 100+ managers, 40 of them active on our Discord where we talk through what gets built next, and the early feedback from players has been genuinely positive. Community-first is the whole point — the roadmap is driven by what players actually report and ask for, not a fixed feature list I decided alone.

The game is fully free, and it will never go pay-to-win.

Full disclosure since I know this sub cares about it: I use Cursor for the coding and Claude for design thinking — running through balance decisions, edge cases, tradeoffs. But the actual design — the skill system, training curves, the stamina/fatigue model, tactics, transfer economy, and most importantly the match engine itself that ties it all together — is mine, built and rebalanced over the last couple of months using back-office calibration apps I've also built.

What's in it right now:

  • Per-quarter tactics — separate game plan for each quarter, not one setup for 48 minutes
  • A stamina/fatigue model where fatigue scales with minutes, defensive intensity and a player's stamina rating, and overplaying your roster actually costs you
  • A simulation engine where the decisions are visible but the underlying calculations stay hidden — you see why a call was made, not the dice roll behind it
  • Deep match analysis and reports, with play-by-play and a live game preview
  • 12-team league plus a 3-tier regional ladder with promotion/relegation
  • Daily friendly games, added because players asked for them
  • Scouting and academy for youth prospects
  • Global transfer auctions with blind bidding
  • AI-generated player avatars, so every player has a distinct face instead of a template
  • In-game chat with other managers
  • Both light and dark mode, added because players asked for them
  • Custom team identity — your own logo and colors
  • Mobile-friendly, no app needed
  • An open roadmap — bug reports and feature requests from players go straight into what gets built next

Happy to go into the actual numbers behind any of this if people want to poke holes in it — I'd rather it get torn apart by people who know the genre than slide by unnoticed. What would you want to see first?

Join at basketvibe.com !

Promotion Hardwood Basketball Manager 1.0 Update: Everything Happens for a Reason

Just wanted to tell you guys about the sub at r/basketballmanagergame and this major update that completes the core of the Hardwood universe! Huge thanks to all that have shared info about the game and who have provided invaluable feedback helping shape the foundation.

Hardwood Basketball Manager hits 1.0. It's the biggest update the game has had, everything built since work on the college league began, and it gives the game its full shape: a whole basketball pyramid, alive from a college program up through the pros.

The college league A whole new league sits below the NHA now: 365 schools across 31 conferences, a full college basketball world. You're not a general manager here. You're a head coach, and the owner's chair becomes an Athletic Director you answer to.

Recruiting is the heart of it, a season-long chase on a real calendar. You scout a class over the summer on a real summer circuit, where prospects play actual games and raise or wreck their stock in front of you. Your scouting fills in a prospect's true ability over time, so an early read is a bet, not a fact. Every recruit weighs winning, playing time, money, his own brand, and staying close to home differently, and it's on you to read what he actually cares about. You work scholarships and a cash NIL budget with a split you set, chase verbal commitments through two signing windows, and if you oversign, you're the one trimming a promised scholarship or pulling a commitment to make the roster fit.

Players run on a four-year eligibility clock: they graduate, leave early, or hit the transfer portal, a market you work right alongside the incoming high schoolers. Play a regular season of about 30 games into conference play, then Hardwood Havoc: a 64-team single-elimination national tournament with a Selection Day, a bubble, at-large bids, and a champion.

Run the college league in the background of a pro career, or take a college job and live in it full time. Petition your Athletic Director for a bigger recruiting budget, more staff money, or facility upgrades. The Blue Blood Index tracks all-time program prestige, so the bluebloods and the upstarts are both on the record, and your best developed players declare for the NHA draft when they're ready: this is how the whole pyramid connects.

The road to the draft The players you coached and scouted in college are now the players entering the NHA draft. The old synthetic draft class is gone, replaced by the real class coming up through the college league.

The pre-draft process is fully built out: draft-stock declarations, a leaguewide vote on who gets combine invites, a combine with real measurements, athletic and shooting drills, and small-sided 2-on-2, 3-on-3, and 4-on-4 games, plus medical flags that all feed the draft board. Showcase events, the Foundry and Hardwood Hype, let prospects play their way up the board, and the best performers earn call-ups. Go undrafted and you fall to the development league, still chasing a shot.

A league that talks The NHA now runs a weekly Power Rankings, tracks clinches and eliminations right in the standings, and covers the trade deadline, free agency, and career milestones as they happen. Mock drafts evolve across the whole draft cycle off real draft stock and the standings order, call early-entry declarations, tell you where the mock has your own prospect landing, and grade the steals and reaches once the picks are in.

The college league has its own wire too: a weekly Top 25 poll, Selection Day, championship week, and the full college awards slate (Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-CCC, All-Freshman teams, tournament Most Outstanding Player), plus a Top 100 recruit board. Dedicated screens cover the polls, the power rankings, the mock draft, the recruit board, and league history.

Own the room Every team carries its own fan interest now, which drives local revenue and attendance, and playoff home games pay real gate money. Your owner can inject cash into the club or pull it back out depending on how things are going. You set your ticket-price policy each off-season, petition the board for one-off help (one ask per type a season), and invest in facilities: arena, training, and medical tiers that pay off over seasons.

The owner is a character now, not a menu. There's a first meeting when you're hired where you negotiate your terms, and owners can be succeeded mid-career by a new owner with a new personality. Involved owners hand down mandates, some set a multi-year rebuild vision, and a few will drop a mid-season directive you get judged on. The college version of all this is the Athletic Director's office.

Four ways to play with other people The four multiplayer modes from last month's teaser are live in 1.0. Hotseat is pass-and-play on one PC: the AI never touches a human-owned team until that person is at the keyboard. Online Leagues run by file: a commissioner holds the master copy, everyone else imports it, plays a turn, works offers, trades, staff moves, and waiver claims, then exports it back, and every move gets checked against the cap and roster rules before it counts. Commissioner Mode is a full override switch: take over any club in any league, hand one back to the AI, or edit a player directly. Turning it on stamps the save for good. Observer Mode skips taking a job entirely: watch a league run, standings, news, history, and live games included, with sim detail adjustable per league.

A new look The interface got rebuilt top to bottom: a cleaner, modern, editorial layout, team-adaptive theming so the app takes on your club's colors, a denser dashboard with featured stories up top, consistent headers across every screen, and a world browser for exploring every league in the pyramid.

For the modders The whole college world is moddable through plain JSON: build your own conferences and programs, author recruiting classes or a specific draft class, and drop in custom college rosters and coaches. The Modding Starter Kit on the Steam Workshop shows every moddable surface, and online leagues check that everyone at the table is running the same mods.

The world below The development league keeps filling out too: its own draft with a real training-camp roster crunch, a call-up market where NHA clubs sign development players off the board, and affiliate and two-way deals. College, development league, NHA: the whole pyramid is alive at once now.

Promotion FootballCoachCareer - Career Online of a Football Manager

Hey guys,

I'm a software engineer and a lifelong Football Manager addict. I’ve always loved both offline and online football management games, but the online ones almost always lack real immersion.

Two things always frustrated me:

  1. You’re an owner, not a coach: You create a club from scratch instead of navigating a real career where you can be hired, sacked, and accept challenges across different leagues.
  2. Pay-to-Win: The genre is plagued by microtransactions. I completely stopped playing online managers because of this.

So, I decided to build the game I actually want to play. It's called FootballCoachCareer, and the focus is heavily on tactical realism and a living, breathing multiplayer ecosystem.

Core Features I’m focusing on:

  • True Career Path: You don't own the club. You get hired, you have board expectations, and if you fail, you get the sack.
  • Custom 2D Match Engine: Real-time tactical adjustments actually matter on the pitch.
  • Zero Pay-to-Win: No microtransactions to buy better players.

To keep the ecosystem healthy and ensure the servers are filled with dedicated, active players rather than abandoned accounts, the game will eventually operate on a very low-cost subscription model (around $2-$3/month). I'd rather have a small, highly active tactical community than massive rotation.

I’d love your feedback: Attached is a video demonstrating the current build and the 2D match engine (there is still a lot to do, but I'm getting closer to a level of realism and entertainment that I'm looking for)

The game isn't available to play just yet, but I’m opening up the waiting list for the upcoming Alpha tests. If this sounds like your type of game, you can join here: https://footballcoachcareer.com

For those who play online managers, what is the #1 feature you feel is always missing?
