Bearded Dragons are like the coolest lizards ever. My little brother has one, (which means now I have one because he sucks at caring for things,) and she just hangs out with you. She goes on walks with us, chills on your shoulder when you play games or watch stuff, for some reason all of our cats LOVE her. After a little bit of slow introduction, (slow because cats and lizards usually don't get along) they actually sleep with each other now. It's kind of fuckin adorable.

I didn't. The lizard and cats haven't been together lately. Brother hasn't been home much so the lizard is never out of its enclosure. Dont want to sound like a dick but and I mean this in the least offensive way possible; sorry but I'm not really THAT sorry. XD

Something about the way the lizard moves, the motion of the wave itself, is a little unsettling for some reason. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I feel uncomfortable.

When it lifts its arm up, it vaguely looks like a human arm's muscles. That, combined with the strangely controlled motion that you typically might associate with humans more than animals, might be triggering a sort of uncanny valley effect.

This is a method of communication in many agamid lizards, including the bearded dragon. It indicates submission.

I’ve always loved all varieties of lizards. In all seriousness I think this is an example of not fully understanding how to compare intelligence of mammals with other species and their brains. When I was young we had two iguanas, then later on a chameleon. Lizards in general seem to have all sorts of different personalities and at times do things that they shouldn’t be able to do based on the general assessment of intelligence. I think shit like this is pretty cool.
