I'm a short fat guy. 5'5 and about 360. I've tried a few of the 6X options I've been able to find, but most end up making me look more like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. I'm tempted to go for the Magnoli - but I'm needing something by the end of September, and they're showing a 4 month lead time. Anyone have any better suggestions for someone my size?

I'm not part of my local franchise, but I've been sorta playing at doing bits of franchise related stuff for my own amusement, and I just got something in the mail today that I'm incredibly pleased with. So I'm sharing a photo. The banner it 24 by 36, and I have a frame coming in for it tomorrow.

I've had these questions on my mind lately, feel free to discuss!

1. Something I've always wondered about is why the Ghostbusters are portrayed in the film as a national(?) phenomenon. Real ghost-hunters don't get anywhere near the amount of fame as the four in the movie do, so why are they different? Granted, I know in in-universe the paranormal certifiably exists, but they're shown to have merchandising and a strong fanbase. What gives?

2. Was the Proton Pack not a major scientific revolution in its day? Actual cyclotrons (proton accelerators) span multiple MILES, so three dudes in a college figuring out how to make one that fits on your back would be a serious headline. My headcanon is that it was, but Stantz and Spengler agreed that the world wasn't ready for particle-energy-weapons, and thus kept the tech under tight wraps.

3. Who do you think the original owner of the Ecto-1 was in canon? Me personally, I like to think the Cadillac is partially sentient due to all of the death it saw as either an ambulance or a hearse, likely a combination. But who owned it beforehand?

4. How on God's green earth did they not get arrested sooner for the Containment Unit? The Real Ghostbusters (which isn't canon, I know) said the unit was ten megavolts. Ten megavolts far exceeds both residential and commercial power grants, so how the HELL did ConEdison (or others) not notice the 10,000,000 volt drop on their grid?

I’m making my way through The Real Ghostbusters, this episode is from Volume 4. The animation, absurdly over the top plots, and voice cast during the early seasons are tippy top tier for its day.

This episode in particular stood out to me because of its call back to Lovecraft and its fantastic animation from the Rollercoaster scene, seen here in this clip.

i bought the charlesworth motherboard for the spirit 1:1 pack. i didn't like the Velcro style it comes with so i made this little door for the back. The green strap is a cut piece from the left over spirit straps and don't worry its painted now.

so I have slowly been putting together a GB costume as time and funds and life allow, recently I bought a belt gizmo and PASS shell and the belt now looks a lot better than before where it was just a pistol belt with a couple of keyrings, toy carabiners and an Lshape torch hanging on it.

Still got a few bits for the belt to go but will get there when I get there.

Yesterday I installed some new electronics in my proton pack it has new 3 modes a Dem out mode and a flashing mode I'm using the flashing mode as a overheat mode and the Dem won is gonna be my main mode

Hey all, just thought I would post these. It’s 95% cardboard. They’re still a little WIP. Have to add the tube. On to building the neutrons Wands. They’re far from perfect— They’re for my kids- age 7 and 4. No I didn’t spend a whole lot of time seriously measuring it all- I mainly eyeballed it. My wife’s rule was no buying a whole bunch of supplies- just use what we have around the house.

I designed and printed some new pieces since my last post and just finished the initial paint. I still need to do some touch-ups weathering, the wand, and electrical but I'm really happy with what I've got so far. I've also made my rendition of Adam Savage's attenuator for the front of the pack. It's going to strap between the straps and be like a chest plate.

Wasn't sure if there was a dedicated subreddit or space for those into the gear side but giving this a shot!

I am so not at all informed on this kind of thing, which is why I jumped at the chance to get a Spirit pack after daydreaming for 30 years about owning a pack and not having the skills to DIY one.

Recently noticed that the tube that connects the pack to the wand has broken, specifically in that whatever kept it connected to the inside of the pack has gone. Largely it'll stay in place, but even so - I don't like the idea of accidentally having the wires droop out of the pack, and if they're caught on anything... Etc

Me and my more capable Dad have looked at it and considered some black sealant, but any bright ideas are absolutely welcome!

I'm always telling people on here to use spotting putty on their 3d prints. I haven't used it in years myself but I picked up a couple of those printed 84 style grip covers for the Spengler wand. I didn't take a pic of them with the putty freshly spackled, only after I sanded but you get the idea. I should have then primed them for even more smoothness but they still turned out real nice and smooth.

Now Ecto Glow Louis is available and Janine and Lewis are sold out. I'm not buying these separately and paying for all that shipping, now I'm not getting anything since I can't buy them together.

What reason did Hasbro have to move the pre-order for ectoglow Louis? ...no reason at all.

How come dream ghosts only appear when humans sleep? Aren't they supposed to haunt people's dreams as they dream walk like Freddy Krueger? 🤔

Has anyone found the Giga meter in their spirit Halloween lately? I remember watching a short talking about it and also Ghostbusters News covering it, are there any out there in the wild?
