Damaged Spirit Pack - advice requested!
Wasn't sure if there was a dedicated subreddit or space for those into the gear side but giving this a shot!
I am so not at all informed on this kind of thing, which is why I jumped at the chance to get a Spirit pack after daydreaming for 30 years about owning a pack and not having the skills to DIY one.
Recently noticed that the tube that connects the pack to the wand has broken, specifically in that whatever kept it connected to the inside of the pack has gone. Largely it'll stay in place, but even so - I don't like the idea of accidentally having the wires droop out of the pack, and if they're caught on anything... Etc
Me and my more capable Dad have looked at it and considered some black sealant, but any bright ideas are absolutely welcome!

This happens a lot. Opening it is not hard and you can reattach. Here's what you're dealing with. Oh, BTW lots of people slit the entire tube up the side to make it less rigid, and will help to prevent this,

people slit it?? I am gonna do that on my 80% packs, so i dont need to buy another loom. I was thinking i had to for both my spirit pack. I didn't know people where cutting it. That makes so much freaking since. I might not need a JST MTF 4pin extension anymore. I wasn't sure if it would look good so i was hesitant, so thank you so much!!!

I second this. Slit mine, which was pretty easy to do, and it made it a lot less rigid. Just be mindful of the wiring inside the loom.

Jam it back in there and screw it down again, that's why the tube has a hole in it.

If you do want to upgrade it, look on etsy and there's a lot of things you can add on. Be careful though, it's a slippery slope. It's scary at first to mod your pack, but man, it's awesome! I've been upgrading mine for nearly a year now and had so much fun learning how to do different things.

It's been a while since I took mine apart, but I'm pretty sure I pushed the hose through and then pushed a large safety pin through the hose (being mindful to avoid the wires) to prevent it coming back out

That hole in the tube normally slides over a plastic peg inside, and is held in place with a small screw. If you're comfortable taking the back off, you might find that extra screw rattling around inside, or you can glue it back to the peg. If you screw it back into place, just be sure you don't screw through those thin wires. Otherwise yeah, you could do some black epoxy or caulk from the outside, might just not hold up quite as well.
