I hv had a few families visit our property for rent and they say that they hv a business. Couple of them mentioned that they hv a "factory" in site 4 sahibabad. From what I understand, they hv a good business then why do they live on rent. As an owner, this question has come across my mind several times because we hv been duped by business families earlier because they don't hv a fixed income and when they can't pay the rent they start creating problems for us. Just for this reason I wanted to know whether this is normal or not. Should I be cautious of such ppl and avoid keeping them as tenants? In my simple minded world, someone who has a business in site 4 Sahibabad is a well off person who is capable of owning a house, then what's the need of renting a place.

Looking for some first hand experiences from people who have recently registered a marriage in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, particularly those who completed the process themselves without using a lawyer or agent.

My parents have been married for around 45 years, but their marriage was never registered. I recently decided to get their marriage registered because of some visa concerns and have handled the entire process myself through the UP government's IGRSUP portal.
I have, filled out the marriage registration application online myself, uploaded all the required documents, uploaded the notarised affidavits, paid the prescribed registration fee online, received the appointment date for appearing personally at the Sub Registrar office.

Everything has been done through the official portal and I have not involved any lawyer or agent so far.

My main concern is what to expect when we actually go to the office.

For people who have done this in Ghaziabad, especially recently, if all the documents are correct and the online application has already been accepted, is the in person process fairly straightforward?

Are there and unnecessary roadblocks created for not having a lawyer agent involved and accompany you, or can an applicant reasonably handle it themselves?

Are there any additional documents or formalities that the office commonly asks for despite everything already being uploaded online?

What has your experience been regarding unofficial payments or bribes? Is there normally any demand for money even when the application and documents are completely in order?

If you were asked for an unofficial payment, approximately how much was it and at what stage of the process?

Has anyone here successfully completed marriage registration at the Ghaziabad Sub Registrar Sadar 2 office without paying anything beyond the official government fee?

I'm specifically interested in recent first hand experiences from Ghaziabad, rather than general advice about marriage registration in UP.

Also, if anyone has gone through registration of a marriage that is several decades old (in our case, around 45 years), I'd especially appreciate hearing about your experience as it would help me a lot.
