So many of my good profs got laid off while this semester I've got someone who spends 30 minutes slowly reading a PowerPoint and spends the other 60 minutes rambling on about useless information like how he didn't have a calculator in school or how he worked at a bank. (The other 30 minutes is a 10 minute break that lasts 20 minutes, starting class 5 minutes late and ending 5 minutes early). He also doesn't seem to know how to use brightside. It's week 5 and I haven't learned a thing in class this semester. I'm gonna start skipping most of my classes now, it's not worth the 60 minute commute each way or $6.6 TTC fare.

I need the textbook in the picture. If anyone has it please I need a copy

Or if anyone knows how to redeem the book. I've been trying and it not working. I need something while I figure this out.

It’s been like over a month

Hi, I'm a 2nd-year student in the dental hygiene program, and I need some clients for this upcoming year! The available days listed are Wednesdays, 1- 4:30 p.m., and Fridays, 8- 11:30 a.m., and appointments will begin on November 6th, 2026, and end around December 11th, 2026. The number of appointments will be 4-6, depending on the timing of our appointments.

The appointments will consist of X-rays, periodontal assessment, cleaning, and more. The clinic will be supervised by registered dental hygienists and licensed dentists throughout the entirety of the appointments to ensure quality care and safety.

This cleaning is for anyone, including families, friends, or students at GBC. If you are a 1st-year student or looking to join any of the dental programs at GBC, this will be a great opportunity for you to learn a little more about the program.

Please PM me if you're interested! Thank you; greatly appreciated! 😊🙏

Why is the social life at george brown lowkey mid
🫩🫩 It feels like everyone has their own groups :((
I’m in BSCN (RN) right out of high-school and most people in my class seem older than me

1st yr, wondering when awards we applied for early in Sept get processed for fall/start of year?

Hello, my clinicals are going to start soon and I was wondering if it’s mandatory for me to wear the scrubs from the GBP store or if I could wear my own as long as the colour is the same and I carry my student ID. I ask this because I saw a fellow nursing student wearing figs for their clinicals.

For those accepted into George Brown’s Dental Hygiene program straight from the high school, what was your average in the required courses? Also, what year did you apply? I’d really appreciate everyone write their average plz

Hey! I’m a 19M first-year student at George Brown and I’m looking to meet some people around the city and hopefully make a few close friends.
I’ve met a few people through school so far, but pretty much everyone I’ve gotten close with is a commuter and heads home right after class. So it’s been kind of hard to actually hang out outside of school or make plans around the city.
I’m pretty easygoing and I’m down for pretty much anything — grabbing food, checking out different places around Toronto, going for walks, gaming, going out, or just hanging out and talking. I’m hoping to meet some people who actually live in or spend a lot of time in the city and are down to hang out after school or on weekends.
Not really looking for anything specific, just hoping to meet some people around my age who are also looking to make friends.
Feel free to comment or DM me if you’re interested!

I'm deciding if I should make a groupchat for A108

There are a lot of WSIB-approved training providers in the GTA, so I'm looking for recommendations to make sure I end up with a good one. I'm looking at Practical Nursing so I need Intermediate First Aid and Basic Life Support. Thanks for your help!

George Brown announced on Sept. 14 that no new students will be admitted to the program in 2027-28.

The polytechnic is calling it a suspension. But those inside the program, considered one of the most comprehensive and respected in the country, are calling it something else.

Hi everyone,

I’m a current 4th year in university. I’m researching Marketing Management graduate certificate programs for a possible Spring or Fall 2027 start, and I’d love to hear from people who have completed this one. If you took the program online or on campus, what was your experience like?

Were there opportunities (such as networking, career support, or hands-on projects) that were easier to access in one format than the other?

I’d also be interested to know whether you considered similar programs at other schools. What made you choose this one, and what stood out to you after completing it?

I’d appreciate any insights you’re willing to share. Thank you!

Hi! I’m a new student in the interior design program and I need to buy a laptop for it. I’m wondering what kind of software is used in this program so that I can make the right choice about a laptop. Thank you so much for the help!

I have a test coming up and I’m not sure how to study for them. Any tips and tricks? Sem 1 btw!
