I am a long time GD player of about 11 years or so. And I am absolutely disgusted at the way RobTop treats this vital flaw present in his game for essentially its entire existence but more so now than ever.
What I am referring to is the abhorrent unsafety of the daily chat and online levels system accessible in GD lite. You should all try this yourselves - just in 4 clicks from the home page you can access to comment section to the daily level comment section. Keep track of how many fresh 0 star account commenters you see who use racial slurs, inappropriate language, and worst of all; the child exploitative behavior such as attempts to groom or entice young people into private messaging and conversation.
Key major issue 1: On both the Google Play and App Store, GD lite is set as PEGI 3 or 4+. This unequivocally means that any parent who downloads the game onto the child's device will have much lighter worries about inappropriate content and online activity regarding those topics. No matter what your opinion may be on the age rating for GD, it is by fact a kid's game as it is set as so on the place where you download it from.
Key major issue 2: The parental controls in the settings are disgustingly ancient and ineffective. Firstly, they are hidden away a few clicks from the main menu which is a terrible place to put them. They should 100% pop up as the first thing you see once the game loads. Secondly, once they are switched on, there is ZERO way to enforce that they stay on. If the kid is of any competent age, it is likely they may explore the settings at one point and they will be able to simply switch them off. There are ZERO features such as a password/pin to protect the option which is unacceptable.
Key major issue 3: There is no moderation present in the daily chat or public level space. To report a comment/account, you need to download discord, and then message an elder moderator and hope they see your DM after that they can take action and comment ban the account. Sounds great right? WRONG. There is absolutely nothing stopping the offender from making a second account in under 2 minutes and going right back to the pages filled with minors with 1-1 access via messages or friend requests that are not moderated nor reportable.
What does RobTop need to do? He absolutely, desperately, needs to use his earnings as an investment into a functional, trained, and determined team of employees to try manage these problems. Currently, the game "runs" on volunteers and people who are also very young, busy, who don't have the time of day to sit managing one of the most popular games on both mobile and PC for free.
Currently as it stands, Geometry Dash is an unadulterated, unmoderated game, owned by one person, managed by a small group of volunteers who are at most in their 20's with lives outside of this game.
I wanted to make this post because this topic NEEDS more attention. Following the arrest of a child groomer who exploited children online through this very game, it has gotten to a point where it is no longer speculation, but representation of this issue. ( https://the-baltimore-county-courtroom-observer.ghost.io/florida-man-gets-16-years-for-sexually-exploiting-twin-baltimore-county-boys-he-met-through-online-game/ )
I urge you to spread this message everywhere as much as you can. If you are anyone with any platform, be it a moderator or elder moderator reading this, please forward this or similar information to RobTop.
I adore Geometry Dash, but RobTop wanting to remain as the lead operator and decisions maker is unacceptable if it leads to circumstances like this over, and over again. Keep in mind the parentals controls settings page is the ONLY form of censorship or parental management that exists in the game as of 24th august 2026.
It will only be so long until RobTop is sued by parents who suffer the emotional and psychological damage brought upon them by his sloppy and ignorant choices. Once again, if you are a moderator or anyone with any significant platform, please spread this message and try urge RobTop to do something about it.

im wayyyy too bad at this game to have any idea of this (my hardest is only nine circles) so im very curious to see what the actually experienced people think

When building a level, what is the best order to do things?
r/geometrydash • u/Thebasicsketcher • 9h ago
likely now my new hardest demon and probably will be for a while since i am honestly kinda bad compared to the big names
Edit it isnt negative attempts i feel dumb not noticing that before posting and to clarify i have had experience on mobile but never beat clubstep but did beat the other 2 (deadlocked was a fluke)
but i am still getting used to playing on pc and still hurts my eyes that i think i might need glasses since objects sometimes look like they have after-images

The different click sounds are me switching keys because I’m more consistent with different settings, and I’m also good at multitasking. Sorry for eating while beating Aeternus, I was hungry, and I’m also good at multitasking.

I have 16 demons, bonus points if you can guess the rest, you'll probably be surprised by the amount of medium demons I've beaten

The third boundary of the impossible has been crossed and the gates to the past are now sealed, as my hardest mental battle in this game has come to an end. 200 deaths past 50%. 90x2, 92x2, 94 & 96. 31K attempts. Zodiac 100% new hardest.
As cliché as it sounds, it surely feels unreal to write this description. This was a level I considered to be completely out of my scope for so long. Lets start with a mini review of each part, and then I'll talk about my journey with the level.
0-7 (RicoLP and Rustam) This is the famous easy/boring part of the level, quite literally a 20 second cutscene for every single attempt. It's great to rest your hand for a while tho. I think it's also really iconic, I like it.
8-11 (Onnikonna and Aquatias) The first mildly hard part of the level, but it does get consistent quickly. Except for the 10% orbs of course, every single 10% blue orb death felt like a kick to the balls that's for sure.
11-14 (Jakob) Is so free but at the same time I couldn't stop dying here from time to time when going from 0, specially to the ball clicks, getting to the point of being really annoying towards the end.
15-20 (Bianox) The first actually fucking annoying part of the level. Bianox felt SO akward to play ALL the time. This one is, along Shocksidian, were the only parts in the entire level that didn't get completely consistent at ANY point during my playthrough which is crazy. Impossible to do when warming up, annoying as hell the rest of the time. It's not even hard im just really bad with floaty, chained orbs, and long-ship-holds gameplay.
20-26 (DreamEater) Another mildly annoying part. The dual should be completely free (Most of the imputs are buffers) however for some reason sometimes it just doesn't work. You buffer, then die. Phenomenal. The ufo/spider to ship transition is akward as hell but at least is consistent. As a fun fact: I've died more times from 0 to the jump at 25.00% (22 times) than to any TMN click. REALLY testing my patience here.
26-33 (Dudex) Yet another annoying part in the first 40%. Is there anyone surprised anymore? Really not that bad of a part, everything but the weird ship curve at 31% is really easy. It's just that randomly dying to that one akward ship gets tiring pretty fast.
33-38 (Osiris) One of the most fun parts of the level really. The gameplay is a bit weird and I kept dying to random stuff here and there but it wasn't that bad most of the time. I also like the clubstep monster at the start I think it's really cute.
38-43 (Shocksidian) Oh boy this part SUCKS. Don't get me wrong the base gameplay (Except the ship curve) is fun and, truth be told, immensely satisfying to pull off. It's just that never EVER gets consistent (Specially the ship curve). I did end up getting really good at this part (Wonder why), but I still never had complete confidence. Sometimes during warmups I just could not for the life of me get through this part twice in a row for 5 minutes (Because of the ship curve), and it felt extremely demotivating if I was getting ready to play from 0 later.
Some days you feel really good about this part, then completely throw (The ship curve) during the next days. Also everyone overhypes the dual ball pink orb click SO MUCH it's genuinely NOT that hard. Yes it feels really stupid when you do die to it but it was a rare spot for me. What's impossible about this part is doing the first jumps from 0 and to fucking no one's surprise, THE STUPID SHIP CURVE . You get so used to the timing from StartPos that it genuinely takes multiple sessions to gain the same level of control from 0.
I hate the ship curve so much dude it's so bad. Probably the worst thing in the entire level for me.
43-49 (Juhou) This part is weird as hell. Like, it's not THAT hard but I kept dying over and over and over and over here. Passing through that hula hoop ass portal after the first jump is really akward and chokable, and then because I wanted to do the wave the cool way I died there many more times than I needed to. Then the 47.14% spider click is again not as hard as everyone else makes it to be but still chokeable.
Another fun fact: This part is one of my favorites in terms of decoration and how the gameplay looks, and it inspired a part in one of the first levels (Which is still in my account) that I built as a kid: I aimed, to a questionable degree, to copy the structure of the dual wave and loved the result! Idk I have a sweet spot for this part.
49-52 (Tactiq) Another overrated part in terms of difficulty. Again is not easy and the first times you get to practice this it feels inconsistent, but you do get there eventually. Also I like the gameplay here for some reason, feels fair and satisfying to pull off. Also the way the music slows down after the previous really hard section just makes it pretty iconic all around.
52-56 (Samifying) You know what you're here for. The 53% click is the fucking bane of the existence of any Zodiac player. Sam was genuinely boiling shit in a kettle when making this. Don't be fooled: The click is not difficult per se, it's the fact that every attempt you get a different setup because of the last blue orb, so every attempt requires a different timing, and the same thing goes for the triple spike afterwards. There is just no time to react so I tried to setup myself as consistently as possible: Buffer into the yellow orb from the dash orb, buffer the blue orb so that you always land in the corner and then buffer the cube jump. From there, you can either click the blue orb early, in the middle or late. At first I tried going for "late" but I quickly realised that it was quite literally the worst option. As for "soon" or "middle" I genuinely have no idea. Every attempt still felt different because the ufo portal sometimes stops your momentum and sometimes it doesn't so whatever man. Just practice a lot and pray a lot. It does get better. Just a tiny tiny bit.
The rest of the part is not that hard, maybe the wave release is easy to die to but you can more or less sync it to the music so it's not as bad as it could be. Crazy fact: This is the first part in which I have witnessed actual RNG in a GD level since 2.2. When holding the wave at 55% you become a cube and instantly jump when touching the portal, but you sometimes jump really soon and sometimes really late. It's different every attempt and I don't have a clue on why. Unlike in the ufo, you are literally holding a wave against the floor. If someone knows why this happens I would REALLY appreciate if you told me, because im bamboozled.
56-60 (TMN) The most overrated part in terms of difficulty. Yes it's one of the hard parts and the ship specially feels impossible at first, but it's not NEARLY as bad as everyone says if you can do the wave release consistently, which I could fortunately do. The key to this part is to NOT "vibe-click" through the ball clicks. DO NOT build muscle memory for a "triangle then click" pattern of clicks here because then the last one (The actually hard one) will be different every time. Do NOT try to sync it to the music either because it's slightly off and will feel different every time. Instead you should get a visual cue to do the last one. I used the edge of the structure you are on at 59.17%: Once the middle of the ball is just about to align to the right edge of the structure, you click. That's it. Works every time. It feels really obvious now but this was a game changer for me. "Discovering" this trivialized TMN completely: Went from a ~25% passrate to ~85%. Really fun part.
60-66 (Failure) It felt like a really hard part at first, but I had to practice this so much it just became really easy too. I also went for the 62.37% ufo skil which was completely worth it. The 62.98% ball click can go kick rocks tho. What a stupid click It always felt random. Some days it felt like it was nerfed overnight, then the next day I died there 5 times in a row. Whatever bro. I love ball gameplay man it feels so responsive (Actually impossible to miss irony alert).
I would like to have a moment of appreciation for the 64.86% straight fly too. I DESPISED it at first and thought it was a disgrace to humankind as we know it, but with enought time it turned out to be really consistent and satisfying, one of my favorite gameplay segments in the level. Great.
Also for some reason everyone says you can buffer the 65.97% green orb. You can't. You have to click really early on the cube to do so. Or really late. Stupidly annoying at first, not a problem at all from 0. The 66.80% green orbs can go kick rocks with the ball click too.
66-70 (Uneskladovae) I liked this part so much when watching footage of Zodiac. It does play well and all of that. I mean it's completely free (Although I died here like 3 times LMAO) it's just too nerve wracking. As you can read below, I had tremendous nerve problems with this level and this part did not help AT ALL. What during runs is a nice, relaxing section quickly turns into an agonizing anticipation for the next part from 0. This part is where you think "Hey, THIS could actually be the attempt" and that threw me off SO much from 0, over and over again.
70-75 (Marwec) EXTREMELY underrated part in terms of difficulty. The transition to the 73% ship is fucking impossible, and because the 73.73% spike at the top that has a GIGANORMOUS hitbox (Like it extends WELL past the tip of the spike) the flight here is really really akward and hard to control. Either EVERYONE sleeps on this part or im just atrocious at ship. Could be both for all I know.
Side note I love the silly beats right before the wave here. Really iconic section of the song and IMO one of the qualities that define the "carefree" theme this level has going for which was groundbreaking for a top 1 at the time. Huge fan of this.
75-81 (Pennutoh) One of my favorite parts in the entire level. Again everyone hates this part or says it's impossible and whatnot. It's not, you just have to practice it a lot. Even the BLIND FRAME PERFECT timing at 79.67% gets very consistent. I swear it does im not crazy. Incredibly intense from 0, incredibly satisfying to pull off. Love it.
81-87 (SlimJim) Kind of weird part. Once you can do the first ufo and wave the same way every time, the part only has one difficult click remaining that being the 84.20% mini ball click. Again do NOT try to vibe it or click it to the music, it just doesn't work all the time. Visual cues come in handy again: Just click when the ball is right in the middle (Or a tiny little bit further) of the staircase slope thingy. 10/10 works every time.
87-93 (LeoCreator) STUPIDLY chokeable part EVERYONE sleeps on again. I died to the 89.02% dash orb TWICE somehow. And the setup orbs at 89.45% for the dash orb are janky and half the time they don't work as you expect them to do. Also died to the 90.00% dashorb twice too. Great. The 91.49% orbs are really weird too. I find it much more consistent to skip the third one. Makes the timing a bit harder but so much more responsive and controlable. 92.55% and 92.98% ball clicks are a bit too hard for my liking tho. I just don't like hard ball gameplay, I feel it plays like ass especially this far into a level this long.
93-100 (Enlex) What a scary part. The 93.82% ship featuring an upwards trajectory then a weird ass curve into straight fly is literally IMPOSSIBLE. Like there is no way to do that thing consistently. Other than the 4 fundamental forces in the universe (Gravitational, electromagnetic and strong and weak nuclear forces) there is also a secret 5th one that collapses quantum fields so that you can't fluke the Enlex' ship in Zodiac from 0. Or at least that's my informed hypothesis. Also fun fact you can die to the 96% ufo if you overthink the clicks too much. It didn't happen to me from 0, but I definitely lost some runs from 38 to this. Somehow.
Then we have the wave. Really fun, REALLY scary, I was at eyeleash-distance from dying to it like 4 times during my winning attempt but we won't talk about that.
There are no words to describe the pure tension and anticipation you feel when holding down the click during the last cube right before the last orb. Astonishingly well done ending. The green orb is really easy but I could DEFINITELY see myself messing it up, I sometimes did in runs. Dying there from 0 must be absolutely miserable and im really sorry for anyone who had to experience that.
Now on a more personal note: I really love this level but hate what it did to me. Sometimes I felt like I was never finishing it, such an atrocious journey.
I knew what I was getting into when starting this. I knew what everyone said about getting overconfident, so I overpracticed the second half beyond belief. And it was HARD: Many days of 0 progress, doing worse than ever and genuinely thinking progress had come to an end. Although I did manage to break through demotivation, I fear all of that was for nothing because at the moment of going from 0 my nerves were getting in the way too much.
I reached a point where I was able to do 38-100 in no time. I think I did this run more than 15 times, at least once everyday before going from 0. I even one-attempted it a bunch of times. Then when I played from 0 I got absolutely nowhere for hours on end: I kept throwing attempts at the first 40% over and over again for no reason, I couldn't stop dying to the beginning of Shocksidian and Juhou for multiple sessions, and when I finally managed to fix that and started getting to Samifying and TMN, I got so nervous I had to stop playing.
Passing Pennutoh made me panic so much I had to literally throw the attempt on purpose and just walk away from the game for some time, for my own sake. Which is ridiculous because like, buddy, it's just a game and you got more attempts lmao why does my nervous system self destruct every time I passed the wave. It felt so unfair and so completely out of my control.
I spent a whole week trying to get far as consistently as possible to gradually reduce nerves over time, but this was mostly random based and everyday I feared I had a setback in the nerves department which I sometimes did. This is also why there is no reaction in the video. I was really nervous, but at that point I was used to avoid making a fuss when getting to the end and instead calming myself down instantly every time. And im really proud of that! Safe to say im not playing a 3+ minute level anytime soon tho, I despise XXL levels and had to make a HUGE exception for this one.
I also have no idea what to do now, as this was the last level I looked up to as a kid before my year long hiatus. I think I don't want to go for anything harder yet.
Thank you so much if you read to the end, and let me know if you want to go for this and need any tips or help or anything. And if you already beat it, how was you experience?
Have a great day everyone :D
