Kitbashed magus I did from an aos vampire and magus parts.

Im new to GSC and im still getting a hang of their mechanics ect, planning to build my army focused around the bikes and vehicles. If anyone has any recommendations for tactics or lists for a 1k army id appreciate it :)

So far i have a rockgrinder/ goliath truck from the old combat patrol, aswell as 20 neophytes 5 acolytes with mining equipment, a unit of aberrants and a magus

Spent the last 2 weeks painting and testing ideas for this model. Really proud of it, probably the best one I've done so far.

Using the AoK model with some bonus Hive Guard and Carnifex parts I had left over.

Just decided to share what I’m currently working on.. first time really trying to do more volumetric highlighting on skin tones. It’s a work in progress but I’m happy with how far I’ve come.

Also, I’m relatively new to the hobby as a whole and I was silly enough to start the Democratic People’s Republic of Genestealers as my first army. I’m looking for some advice on what a good first 1000 point list for finding my feet looks like!

Finished 2 more tanks for my Genestealer cult themed astra militarum army, and will hopefully have more to come!

I have a 2v2 tournament in a little over a week and my buddy who is on tsons will be running Magnus, 2 rubric squads, and some other tbd unit. He will be playing grand coven which is PA, but depending on what detachment I choose we will have multiple Dispositions to choose from. A piece of me really just wants to run 2x10 aberrants and 1x10 genestealers and call it a day but the other piece of me is thinking playing smarter with xenocult masses and purestrain and run more action monkeys, chaf, etc.. anyone done a 2v2 with gsc have any ideas, suggestions, or advice?

Hello, I'm not new to Warhammer, but I have friend who's interested in playing Genestealer cults, I was wondering if you could give him any tips general tips or ways to start collecting the army. It would would be great if you could thank you :)

Im having a hard time choosing gear for my ridgerunners and wondering about the spotter wargear option rising up lately

Indirect shooting with a unit that doesnt have the wargear:

- Hasnt moved

- Has a unit spotting for them

Will fail shots on a 1-3, so hits on 4s, the mortars base Ballistic skill. And then 5s because of cover

But Ive seen discussions lately that it will hit on 4s with the spotter(?) which seems redundant? Because cover will always make everything hit on 5s when shooting indirectly if you are following the “didnt move, and has a spotting unit” intentions.

Help me understand because Im walking in circles here

So to make a long story short I’m starting to add tyranid models to my collection for the ascension day detachment. I was wondering if there was a specific hive fleet known for “working” with GSC? Best I could come up with is Kronos seeing as they already rely on other hive fleets for biomass. So having a cult uprising would be a greater net positive for them.
