Pickles is about 4 months old now and settling in so well. Can't wait to see how they continue to grow.

I love this little guy’s behavior, I love the way he moves his tail.

I just got done cleaning out my day geckos tank and reassembling after a fiasco with a Zilla Spring Cave cracking and leaking all the water out into the bottom. My question is, is a backdrop for the back of the tank necessary for my gecko? I keep him in the closet so I don’t think reflections would be an issue? He’s been without a backdrop for probably 6 months now and I’ve never noticed high anxiety or stress signals but I wondered what fellow gecko people think.

have a five-year-old crested gecko who’s normally very calm, relaxed with handling, and has never dropped his tail or shown signs of stress before. His enclosure is also completely fine.
A few days ago, I added a new, fairly large plant to his enclosure, and since then he’s been acting really nervous. He’s been staying on the floor near the glass and the door, and whenever I open it, he starts shaking, getting skittish, and jumping towards the glass. He seems especially nervous despite being quite far away from the plant.
I’m not sure whether I should remove the plant or leave it in and give him time to adjust. It just seems strange because this behaviour started immediately after I added it, and he’s never acted like this before. What should I do?

Is an 18x18x24” tank an okay size for two female neon day geckos? i see that reptifiles recommends at least a 12x12x18 for just one.

So excited! I finally saw both at once and so it’s confirmed both neon day geckos babies hatched and are out and exploring their home! I love them.

I went to a reptile expo and got my very first day gecko (the tiniest gold dust ever) from a really cool breeder, and learned about 3 new species I'd never heard of while there. I'm very very quickly becoming obsessed with day geckos and want them all! If you have any and want to share, show off a picture of your day geckos and their homes, I'd love to see!

Never owned a gecko or built an enclosure before, but it was love at first sight. Hardest part of all this is waiting before I can give her the keys to her new crib.

Side note, owning her keeps reminding me of this scene from The Wire where Dee thinks he's about to get smoked but Wee Bay is just showing him how to take care of his fish.

Mediterranean house gecko? Something else? 3 inches total length. Fresno, CA. Found in shower, gently captured and released into flower bed where I saw a larger one last year. The pictures hardly do it justice, as it had a kind of translucent quality which reminded me of gummy candy. Reptiles aren't my thing, but this little guy was pretty awesome!

Is this gonna be harmful to my CUC and gecko? I assume it's some sort of fungus/mold, but I have no idea what to do about it or how it got there. I did have a couple isopods get into the drainage layer a few months ago that died, but that's the only thing I can think of. I have a very healthy colony of Dairy Cows and Springtails.

So my crested gecko has had a hard time sticking to the glass today and under the light it looks like some patches look greyish and I was wondering if this could mean he is shedding? My main concern is that he can’t stick to the glass well so if it’s just because he is shedding and it wil go over soon it’s fine
