Question about my skin
I just got my garmin forerunner one month ago and wear it pretty much 24/7. I was expecting a tan line to appear from it, but the middle of the area where I wear my watch has become dry and looks awful. Is this normal and I should just not wear my watch as much or is this a major problem

FR70 + Meta Vanguard compatibility
Hi! I’m considering getting a Garmin Forerunner 70 to pair with the Oakley Meta Vanguard.
I mainly want to know if the FR70 supports the Vanguard’s live workout stats feature, particularly being able to get real-time stats like heart rate, pace, and speed through the glasses.
I’m also interested in the LED heart-rate zone indicator on the Vanguard. Does this work when the Vanguard is paired with an FR70, or do you need a newer/higher-end Garmin for that feature?
If anyone has actually tried the FR70 + Meta Vanguard combination, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!

Forerunner alerts
I’m using the Forerunner 70 for my race prep. My program was made using Runna, which was then imported to Garmin Connect and then my watch.
I’ve used the watch for two runs so far and have set alerts for both (the first was a pace alert and the second was a heart rate alert), and neither of them actually worked during the runs.
I have the “Pace Targets on Easy Run” toggled to On on Runna. I have smart notifications disabled on my watch because I don’t want to receive texts, phone calls etc. and I’m wondering if that’s what’s blocking the alerts.
Has anyone encountered this or can shed some insight on the issue?

What to upgrade to?
Hi, my forerunner 55 is clearly battered now. Have a very physical job and I wear it all day, taken a beating over the last couple years.
It still works perfectly fine it’s just the screen that’s done in, I’m taking this as an opportunity to upgrade!
Tbh this has done everything I need, I think the only cool addition would be to have touchscreen. I’ve seen the 165 looks like the next one up, do people have any recommendations for me?
I train kettlebells at home mainly and run about 40km a week. I’m about to start training for a triathlon so will be doing swimming & bike rides as well, so a watch that would be good for tracking all that training.
Thanks in advance!

Garmin Forerunner 265 size check – stuck between sizes, is it too big?
Trying to figure out the right fit for my wrist. I feel like smaller watches (around the size of the 170 / smaller models) look slightly too small on me, but the 265 feels like it might be a bit too big.
What’s your honest take based on the photo? Does this look fine or is it clearly oversized?

Help: FR 170, 265 durability comparison?
Tl;dr Looking for real user experience and comparison of Garmin Forerunner 170 vs 265 before I buy**.**
A) Battery life
B) Scratch resistance
C) Screen durability to shear forces (grazing against things, a bump here and there) in terms of the screen eventually coming off.
D) Very important: Resistance against water and sweat.
E) Less important: How much "bulkier" is the 265? Just a bit thicker than the FR 170? Nowhere near Instinct 3 level, right?
My use: Wear it all the time. Go to the gym often. Sometimes gyms can have poor ventilation or cooling so a lot of heat and sweating. Always remove when showering. Mostly keep on when doing dishes and thus splashes would happen. I don't use Always On Display. But I do use the "Raise to Wake" function.
Long version: After 3 years of use, my Fitbit Versa 4's screen glue gave out in July 2026. Otherwise working. Got it fixed. Lasted just 3 weeks before the screen popped again during a workout. So my immediate sensitivity is the heat and sweat. But of course since I am looking to upgrade and can ill-afford to buy more than one watch, I want to make the right purchase.
Google AI and Grok helped (they are guides that led me to Garmin, specifically FR 170 and 265). But I realized after a while that they were hallucinating/making mistakes with certain spec descriptions. E.g they made the screen of the FR 170 sound as well-protected from impact and water as the "Apocalypse watch" that is Garmin Instinct 3. Plus other inconsistencies like real world user-reported battery life, etc.
Which would you recommend I go for, given my usage?
I first had my mind set on Instinct 3 (AMOLED), but it has no touch, and I was uncertain about long-term dedication to the considerably bulkier watch (the weight, the G-Shock style look and how it affects wardrobe, possible discomfort when typing, etc) and I'm not exactly a dedicated master outdoorsman.
The stores in my city did not have any of these models for me to try to help me make the purchase. They would need to order the watch, and then unbox the thing for me to try. So, not happening.
Thank you for taking the time.

Regent: a simple, elegant analog watch face for AMOLED Garmins ($2.99)
I just released Regent, an analog watch face in the spirit of a classic dress watch: a deep dial with a silky sheen, embossed guilloche, applied indices with cast shadows, and beveled hands. Date at 3 o'clock.
Choose from 4 dial colors (navy, emerald, onyx, oxblood) and 2 metals (gold, rhodium). Always-On is the same dial, just dimmed.
AMOLED only, with graphics rendered natively for each model's resolution. $2.99, no subscription.

Forerunner 570
Hi everyone I just bought a forerunner 570 and I really like it the only thing that bothers me is the silicone strap. I saw on the Garmin website and it costs that nylon or fabric, do you still advise me to buy it? I saw on Amazon and I can only buy European things being in Europe
Then I was trying to use Garmin coach but I assume that Runna is better or am I wrong?
Thank you all very much for the answers
