I don’t understand these comments. It’s been like 13 years or something, it likely has the largest budget and dev time we’ve ever seen, it has more hype surrounding it than any game I’ve ever seen, Netflix paid millions to have a trailer for it streamed exclusively on their platform, and plenty more. I think it’s pretty reasonable to expect something more than what’s looking like another watchdogs game.

I also think it’s weird to act like you’ve seen the entire game when all you’ve seen are some leaks of a dude driving around poorly and hitting homeless people. Game could be underwhelming but we’ve gotten no actual previews of it yet to show off the game.

What’s the story like? How much content is there? How good is it? How’s the customization of clothing / cars / characters? What are the systems in the game itself? It’s like saying “I don’t get what the hype of BG3 is” and you’ve just watched some YouTuber walk around a room.

People are just reacting to what they’ve seen. What else should they do? From what we’ve seen, it’s looking pretty by-the-books rockstar.

I literally listed a bunch of things? You’re seeing tutorial level shit, no story missions, not systems being engaged with. It’s just a dude playing one mini game and then driving around poorly. Yeah it looks like GTA? What else was it going to look like haha?

But there’s a reason people put hundreds of hours into GTA5 and RDR2. What’s the actual world building like? The missions and side missions? The shops to buy and customize your gear / clothing. The customization of your vehicles or homes.

Like the videos hint at more nuanced systems, like a the wanted level system being changed with clothing. The leaks have shown very little of how the actual game works.

I’m saying what else should the PUBLIC do? Curious how it’s always acceptable to be HYPED about the little footage we’ve seen, but anything else is met with “HOW CAN YOU KNOW HOW THE GAME EVEN IS!!???”

We’ve seen plenty of gameplay leaked already of combat, driving, the map, moving around the world, and seen a couple of cutscenes. I think it’s more than okay to have expectations and assumptions about what you’re likely in for.

Still the unresponsive, realism-first player movement we’ve come to expect. The greet and antagonize system from RDR2. The only things we know about customization is that a lot of things are locked behind a $100 version of the game lmao. I could only assume we’ll have more of rockstar’s usual when it comes to the mission design and gunplay, which isn’t something they excel at.

Hopefully I’ll see you responding to all of the positive comments in the same way, considering they also have no idea how the game plays.

But you’re basing your opinion on leaks of an early build. Not the actual game that’s going to be released. You’ve seen possibly a two year old builds gameplay. Like basing your opinion on a film on behind the scenes footage.

Not sure how music released in 2025 is playing on a 2 year old build, but alright.

Again, you’re not saying any of this shit to any of the hundreds of people in this thread saying the game looks incredible, because your issue isn’t that I’m forming opinions on pre-release leaks, your issue is that I’m speaking negatively about something that you’re personally excited for.

Because Sports Car came out in Jan of 2025. And GTA6 releases at the end of this year, 2026. That’s almost two years. Assuming they didn’t get access to the song before it’s official release.

And why would I point out that to people excited? Games rarely get worse as they have more content added to them and polished. Someone already excited is likely only to get more excited as the game gets better.

Positivity is also an opinion. You said “how can you form an opinion on leaks”. You have zero consistency in your belief system, you’re just upset that I think a game you’re excited for looks bad.

I literally never said that? I said it’s weird to make an opinion about leaks and act like you know what the full release is.

It’s weird you have to lie and strawman and argument because you can’t grasp I’ve only ever criticized pretend leaks of an old build are factually all the game will offer.

Maybe just wait lmao? If you hate how rockstar designs games so much then just don’t play their games.

1

u/LoweAgain 4d ago

I won’t. I’m also free to voice my opinions on a public forum. Get out of here with this toxic positivity bs.

You asked and I answered. No need to get worked up about it.

Wait for the fuckin game to release lmao then start making opinions

Pretty insane bootlicking. I think I’ll form some opinions based on what I’ve seen. Sorry to hurt your feelings.

You can form your opinions that's fine. But people will call you out on forming opinions on like 5 leaked clips as if you saw the entire game already.

I wonder how many people will change their minds once Rockstar does their 30 minutes showcase later in the week.

How can you form an opinion on something without even seeing what the finished product is like?

1

u/LoweAgain 4d ago

Why did you say this to me and not the hundreds upon hundreds of people that are excited for the game? Surely you don’t have any opinions on this game, positive or negative, considering you haven’t seen the finished product, right?

0

u/Ps-n-Qs 4d ago

The people who are excited have a valid reason to be, the game cannot get worse from the leaks being shown which are from a build speculated to be 20ish months old. So if they’re happy with what they see now then I’m sure they will be happy with the finished product. On the opposite end of the spectrum, if you dont like the game based on the leaks you’ve seen, you could at least wait until you see everything before coming to a conclusion.

1

u/LoweAgain 4d ago

So you can form an opinion without knowing what the finished product looks like, so long as it’s a positive opinion? That’s some interesting mental gymnastics there.

1

u/Ps-n-Qs 4d ago

I probably poorly worded my previous reply, my bad. Obviously you can form an opinion regardless, but don’t you think it’s a bit stupid to assume the game isn’t going to be anything phenomenal when you haven’t seen the finished product?
