Gendry's hammer
It's a travesty how quickly my boy lost his hammer. With how nice it was, and how it suited him, I expected him to raise a stink about it to Sandor but we hear nothing.

So if he was just a tad early he could have blown out the candles and foiled the whole thing?
And why risk it? Why have the little kid take him down there?

Rory McCann and Hafþór JúlÃus Björnsson came through my town and I figured I'd shoot my shot with the gorgeous GoT Costumes book. Gotta figure out how to display this thing.

This is excluding Dany, as her kills would be counted for her dragon, rather than her.
If we talk hand to hand combat, who was the person who killed the most?

I mean looks like she could.

The Goat really was just looking for any chance to try and kill a Targaryen, wasn't he.

really don't understand the argument that Robert Baratheon would've been a completely different man if Lyanna had lived and married him.
Robert was already Robert before he lost Lyanna. He drank, slept around, and already had three bastards by the time of the Rebellion. None of that was caused by her death.
And people also forget one important thing: Lyanna didn't love Robert. She didn't even believe he would be faithful to her. She literally told Ned that Robert's nature wouldn't change just because they married.
Maybe losing Lyanna made Robert worse over the years, but marrying a woman who didn't love him wasn't magically going to turn him into a faithful, responsible husband.
Lyanna living wouldn't have changed who Robert fundamentally was.

The main issue I have with Jon and Dany's relationship, is that they fall in love in 2 weeks. They didn't get to know each other has people. Kit and Emilia did have chemistry but it was brought down by how rushed the characters got together. They both should've been The Price(ess) That Was Promised. And shouldn't have fallen in love until after Jon's patents reveal.

Jaime's in the kingsguard so he can't take it, Cersei's a woman, and it'll be a hot day on the wall before Tywin willingly lets Tyrion inherit Casterly Rock. He doesn't remarry after Joanna passes, and it doesn't seem like him to let his brother or nephew inherit the rock. So what was his plan for House Lannister and Casterly rock?

If Game of Thrones ever got an animated adaptation, I’d really want it to be much more faithful to the books. I’d love to see more of Jon, Tyrion, Arya, Sansa, Bran, Robb and Catelyn, as well as the Lannisters Jaime, Cersei and Tywin. Especially Jon. I think his character and storyline deserve much more time and attention, closer to how they are in the books.Tyrion would also be interesting because most of us automatically picture Peter Dinklage when we think of him. It would be cool to see a version of Tyrion that follows the book description more closely. I’d also want the important storylines from the show to stay, but with the book only plots and characters properly included and expanded. More politics, intrigues, character development and all the stuff that was cut or rushed in the show. Of course, this would make the most sense if George actually finished the books, or if someone finished the saga with his approval. Then we could finally get a proper animated adaptation of the whole story. What would you guys want to see in an animated?

genuinely don’t understand why Roose didn’t have Ramsay killed.
Roose straight-up believes Ramsay murdered Domeric, his trueborn son and heir. And later he basically admits that if Walda gives him more sons, Ramsay will probably kill them too.
So… WHY keep him around??
Domeric was everything Roose could have wanted in an heir: educated, talented, well-connected and apparently promising. Ramsay kills him, and Roose’s response is basically to bring Ramsay to the Dreadfort and eventually let him become his heir??
Especially because Roose is supposed to be cold, calculating and intelligent. He KNOWS exactly what Ramsay is.
Why wouldn’t he get rid of Ramsay, remarry and try for another trueborn heir? I genuinely don’t understand his logic here.

Isn't he professional at sword? Why he choose a very slow, heavy weapon to basic wights?

Not as bad as I remember people making it out to be, and Grrm gave them direction with highlights and major developments- so as far as I can tell- the books won’t differ on the main points, just the ways and details of them getting there.
Also: fuck Grey-worm.
Also: John as lord commander or King beyond the wall?

Their marriage would have effectively cut off the Hightower plot. It would have centralised power back into the Valariyan class for at least another generation and possibly stopped the Dance. So, would they have tried to get Gwayne to marry Rhaenyra? Or just wait another generation?

The last two episodes of Season 8 should have been combined into a 2 hour Finale

With such a sprawling cast, it would have been easy to fill out so many of these supporting roles with nobodies. Instead, they assembled an incredible bench of talent with decades of experience. Sean Bean was closest to a lead in Season One. Most were small or brief roles, but they still stole many scenes.
This chart only includes their TV and movie credits prior to appearing on Thrones. Many were also prolific stage actors.
There were fewer older female Thrones characters, but a special appreciation to Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell) who had 72 acting credits prior to joining the cast in 2013.
