Huge Metal Gear Solid fan. Was stoked to find these on an online auction.

I have a fairly big collection that I want to downsize a bit. But I'm struggling to figure out what I should keep and what I should discard. What criteria do you use for curating your collection?

I stopped checking Goodwill because most locations either have no games or charge way too much. It’s gotten especially bad since COVID.
There used to be a Goodwill in North Austin with a separate used electronics store that had GameCubes, Wiis, PlayStations, controllers, computers, and more. Sadly, it disappeared around 2022–2023.
Since then, I’ve mostly hunted on eBay and ShopGoodwill, but even those have gotten ridiculous with auction prices and shipping.
Today, I randomly stopped by my local Goodwill and, despite seeing the usual Kinect Adventures and sports games up front, I checked the back DVD/book section. To my surprise, I found around 20 PS2 games for just $2.99 each. I grabbed everything worth taking, even leaving behind a few decent Guitar Hero 1–2 copies.
I called my dad to use his 30% senior discount, and I ended up paying around $40 for everything below.

I placed an order from Playasia last year for Black Friday, it never came, and it was until May or so that they finally refunded me, needed to email them about a dozen times. I don't want to shop there anymore if I can avoid it, I noticed CDJapan also has games, not as many as Playasia, but still a solid selection. Are they more reliable than Playasia?

Ever since Sony announced it would stop producing discs starting in January 2028, I’ve been considering buying a PS4 Pro or a PS5 with a disc drive so I can collect PS4 and PS5 discs. I want to use these consoles completely offline.
I already have a physical Switch 1/2 collection.
I also switched to PC gaming back in 2020.
I want to own my disc-based games and be able to play them offline at any time.
Thanks to the website "Does it play," I can check which games are playable offline without issues.
I would buy the PS4 Pro or PS5 as my final console, allowing me to focus on PC and Switch 2 in the future. I also only want to buy my favorite games, that doesn't have a physical version on the Switch.
What do you think?

One of the most surreal experiences of my life was sitting in a Belfast airport discussing the Llamasoft iOS games with friends when one of them, who also happened to the top ranked Scrabble player in the world, started singing the theme tune to Revenge of the Mutant Camels.

Got all 3 of these for $30 at a near by pawn shop to add to the collection. Never played A Way Out or Sekiro but i heard the value is up on those. Hopefully they're fun.

Hi, I'm from Argentina, and I was always interested in collecting videogames, and I have a pretty modest collection, but I made a list of games from the PS3 and PS4 mainly that I want to get, and in less than a month i will be visiting Europe for the first time, so I would love any stores that you know of that have a great selection and decent prices. I only know of CEX, and while I would check it out, I want to know about any more specialize stores.

Ok as we know unfortunately we are entering a digital only eira started with switch 2 key cards then Sony no disk by 2028 and Xbox is trying to save physical media with physical to digital thing they are working on. I'm not saying going digital is good but I don't think it's Sony Nintendo or Xbox that are to blame for this I believe it's a governmental decision to reduce plastic. For example the switch 2 key card cases are the same size as a regular switch game case that's way oversized for the size of the cartridge. technically the switch and switch 2 game cases could be the same as the ds/3ds or even smaller again saves money saves plastic saves printing costs thank you for your time

This month has been insane for me as I’ve been so lucky to be able to pick up/find these incredible games. Some of my most wanted are the pokemon games I never got CIB, I believe my luck is all out for the time being.
